Clean, warm and a lovely stay conveniently located, but just remember to keep an eye out for the toothpaste green coloured house with the big bushes. The WIFI was a little weak, but wasn't a necessity when I was there.Shower was perfect temperature and the beds were comfy. Plenty of parking too.
We were in Launnie for a Kid's basketball tournament and we had people saying they were going to stay with us, then they weren't then others were and we mucked our host around altering bookings right up to the last day and nothing was too much hassle for her. Lorraine, you made everything so simple. Thank you. The house was immaculate, warm, stocked with every amenity and it truly felt like home. Apart from coming second in the tournament iot was a great couple of days.

This was our second stay at Hawthorn House and it is still by far the best home away from home we have ever stayed in! Lorraine is an amazing host and provides everything you need to have a fantastic stay- from the smallest things like boxes of tissues, and information pamphlets, to welcoming treats, electric blankets on the beds and plentiful towels etc. I cannot fault anything - the house was spotless, the kitchen well stocked with basic supplies and plenty of crockery etc, parking off the street behind the house was extremely helpful for us and the backyard is large and spacious. Lorraine was very accommodating regarding our check in and check out times and her communication is great. I highly recommend Hawthorn House in Invermay to anyone visiting Launceston as it is in a great location and a wonderful place to stay.
Beautiful home, clean and well maintained. Lorraine communicated promptly and made checkin easy. We loved our stay here and we highly recommend to everyone
It doesn’t take long to see why this property is the highest rating! Today everything you need is an understatement!! Immaculately clean, all a family of all ages needs provided down to a baby bath! Laundry needs are five star, kitchen is fully functional if you desire to cook. Four bedrooms with children’s rooms, toys and activities for all ages provided. Lovely backyard for parking with swings for kids. Close to the town centre, parks and attractions. Anyone wanting a comfortable, at home stay with a historic feel, this is the place!
Hawthorn House was a beautiful house to stay in while our family of four explored Launceston. The house was incredibly clean and well stocked and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Lorraine was an excellent host. She was great at communicating and even welcomed us with some milk and biscuits on arrival. Thank you again Lorraine
Wonderful, check in was easy, everything we needed was supplied in all areas, it was by far one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in, highly recommend this property
The host was very helpful and prompt with replies to any enquiries. The milk was most welcome and the chocolates were greatly appreciated. The house was very comfortable and had everything required for a comfortable stay.
This was quite possibly the nicest accommodation we’ve ever stayed in! Lorraine had thought of everything, it was perfectly clean and incredibly comfortable, and very child-friendly. We really appreciated the little touches of breakfast provisions, instructions for all the appliances and the general homely feel, it was such a lovely stay.

Great location, very warm and clean. Will be back again next year
This property is truly amazing its actual location is on a busy main street, however no traffic noise inside. Extremely clean, tidy, well setup, and loved property. The host has definitely added many very special touches to her property like a 2 litre bottle of fresh milk in the fridge and a great selection of tea and coffees better then home.
