Why Guests Love The Alpine Haven
Wake up panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from the front porch, just minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area, the Rio Grande Club, world-class fly fishing, hiking, ATV trails and endless Colorado adventures.
Whether you're planning an active vacation or simply looking for a peaceful mountain escape, Alpine Haven is the perfect place to unplug, relax and reconnect with family, friends and nature.
Guests consistently tell us they appreciate the cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, easy check-in, comfortable accommodations, and peaceful mountain setting. Our goal is to make your stay relaxing, comfortable, and memorable from the moment you arrive.
Winter at The Alpine Haven
Wolf Creek Ski Area is just a short drive away and is famous for receiving some of Colorado's highest annual snowfall. County roads are maintained throughout the winter, and our private driveway is professionally plowed after snowfalls. During major winter storms, we still recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle, as is common throughout the Colorado mountains.
Watch the first light of day illuminate the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from the front porch, then unwind under some of Colorado's clearest star-filled skies each evening.
Summer & Fall Adventures
South Fork is an outdoor paradise. Enjoy hiking, fishing, ATV and UTV trails, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, and some of Colorado's best hunting. Explore the nearby Rio Grande National Forest or simply relax on the front porch while taking in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain views. Whether you're spending the day exploring or simply relaxing on the front porch, there's something special about every season in the San Juan Mountains.
Anytime of Year
At night step outside to enjoy some of the clearest star-filled skies in Colorado. With very little light pollution, it's the perfect place to relax around the fire pit and experience the beauty of the mountains after dark.
