Wonderful stay in Avon. Master bedroom and huge bath were great. Weber grill on the deck was nice to grill. Well stocked kitchen and lots of spices, oils, and baking items.
Close to Beaver Creek & Vail. The house is bigger than in the pictures and was a great roomy space for our family. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and made cooking after a day on the slopes easy. Great communication with Kathy who was perfect to work with. Will stay here again when back in the area.
This was a beautiful place I would highly recommend it!

The 4 gentlemen staying at my house for an engineering job for Cathy's company were so respectful and kind. They even fed my hummingbirds when the feeder ran dry. They were a real pleasure to deal with. Thank you!
This 4 bedroom duplex is in a great location. Its well appointed with 2 master suites on the first level. the radiant heat was a plus in the master suite. We enjoyed our stay!
The house was great for a family vacation. The house has a very well stocked kitchen with cookware, spices, etc, making family meals easy to prepare. The neighborhood is quiet with some nice walks and nearby parks. The drive to ski at Beaver Creek or Vail was just a few minutes, also making the stay easy.
Owner very responsive, beautiful patio, well stocked kitchen. Great location! Beautiful neighborhood for walking. Bike path very close.
Would rent again for sure!
Kathy made our trip easy by communicating quickly and clearly. 5 Stars for Kathy!
The house was great. Great location! Perfect for the 6 of us. Kathy was very easy to work with and we will hopefully have another chance to do so in the future.

Jim and his family were delightful guests. I would be very happy to host them again.
Kitchen is so well stocked! We were able to cook and snack and not have to wash dishes everytime - lots of dishes and condiments and pots/pans. The location is perfect for Beaver Creek and Vail. Host was very responsive. Only feedback is that the town home is 83-A. The "A" wasn't listed in directions so we were afraid to go in the wrong home. We will stay there again!
This home was ultra clean which is necessary for me. Comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms, huge well equipped kitchen, comfortable livingbroom.... basically this property is as good as it gets! And i hope to return. Rich Despres
Great location to skiing, ski towns and stores. Nice rooms, bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Easy and helpful communication with owner. Very clean and well kept. Master bath is exceptional. Steam shower and double sink. A quiet house and very accommodating overall.

Thank you - you guys were a great group and left the house so nice. It was a pleasure.
We were a group of artists in town for an art show. The place was perfect. We each had our own room and bathroom. The house is situated on a golf course, so we enjoyed sitting on the huge back deck watching the golfers, or people walking their dogs. All the amenities we could ask for. Close to walking trails, restaurants and shopping. Kathy was wonderful to deal with and quickly responded to any calls. We would definitely stay there again.

Jennifer and her group were great guests- they even replenished the hummingbird feeders! Hope to have them back for next year's art show.
The one hesitation I have in this review is that the sketch for bedroom four looks like it has 2 bunkbeds. We only saw one, which meant that one son who was thinking about coming for one night couldn't. I had no contact with the property manager but excellent contact with the owner. The place is conveniently located and very nice.

DIck- so sorry - wish you had asked. There are several extra mattresses - one under the bunk beds and one in the second master bedroom. Glad you had a good time. Kathy
5 adults (1 couple, 3 single) stayed here. The place was incredibly clean and had so many dishes we were shocked in a good way. Location was literally minutes from the wedding venue, the wedding being the reason we were there.
The 3rd floor rooms are most suited to children with ether slanted roof and bunk bed, as well as the small and rather dark shower. I’m very glad my brother in law decided not to come, as I don’t know how we’d have handled the bedrooms, as the 3rd floor bed really only sleeps 1 without knocking your head and one guest needed the lower floor due to physical limitations.
There are lots of stairs, so be prepared if you do have any physical issues.
Best suited for no more than 2 couples with 3-4 kids.
Host was lovely when we struggled to find the lock box, which was totally obvious!
Don't pass this one up!!!! Outstanding in so many ways!
Communication with the host was outstanding from the get-go! She even gave us a weather update a few days before we arrive so we could be prepared for a snowy drive and wonder skiing.
The accommodations were outstanding; layout was perfect for the seven of us - it allowed each family to have their own bedroom and the kiddos got their own too plus four bathrooms with showers to handle everyone. The kitchen was spacious and the best equipped and stocked that we have encountered. We enjoyed the large dining area for suppers and games. The living area was relaxing and we enjoyed the the seating plus the gas fireplace. We were able to pack light and do laundry when needed. Too many amenities to list them all.
The location for us was perfect. We skied at Vail and it was a short trip to be dropped off and picked up. We also found several activities very near by in the evenings like a wonderful escape room, the Avon recreation aquatic center, snowmobiling and some delicious ice cream.
Would select to stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks for the amazing accommodations and made our ski trip so memorable for our family.
This is a great place to stay and the owner was willing to work with us. We had an issue that was our fault and we got it resolved and they were nice and kind to us.
My family really enjoyed our stay here. The house overall was clean and had every thing needed in order to make your stay comfortable. The location is convenient to Beaver Creek and Vail.
The location is ideal, but the condo needs cleaning and updating. Exterior needs painting, windows need cleaning, many utensils were dirty. Stone entry way makes loading/unloading baggage difficult. Microwave light was out, and not sure if the filter has ever been cleaned. Stove top was dirty. Windows are difficult to work. No screens on doors or windows. No windows in lower level bedrooms. Patio grill was not clean, cushions had been left out and were wet and dirty.

As anyone looking to book this house can see, all the other ratings are 5 stars, and mention how clean and well maintained it is, and how well stocked it is. It is also by far the best value for the price in the entire area. It is not a condo, it is a house with a garden and yard. I did replace the bulb in the stove, which I did not realize was out. Part of the walkway to the house (8 feet) has small pebbles between the large stones- not ideal for elderly people who cannot lift baggage. However, if it were solid concrete, in winter it would be solid ice-too big a risk for guests, so I need to keep the pebbles between the stones for snow melt drainage.. One screen was missing and I have replaced it. It has been very difficult to get people to make these small repairs - they are booked for months and materials are in very short supply because of the covid pandemic. There are doors in each of the downstairs bedrooms, and a large window in the very large master bathroom.
Four very grown men (3 retired) out for 2 weeks' skiing (30th year!). We loved the kitchen and ended up eating in more than we ever have. I particularly enjoyed the steam shower. At night we would relax by the gas fireplace (very easy to operate) Location is great and allows easy access to both BC and Vail. Thanks Kathy

About the host
Hosted by Katherine Newman
We live in Gables-by-the-Sea, Florida but have enjoyed skiing and hiking in Beaver Creek and Vail for many years. We also have a beach house in Ormond Beach where we enjoy surfing and walking the beach. We spent 15 years living in Brazil, Switzerland and Mexico, which was a great adventure. We speak Spanish, Portuguese and some French, and my son married a Swedish girl so they all speak Swedish, It will be fun to have guests from Europe and Latin America. My brother, the other owner, speaks Mandarin and spends a lot of time in the far East with his business. He is also a skier and hiker and loves fishing.
Why they chose this property
After looking at condos for several years we decided that a house with trees and open space would suit us better. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet, and most of the houses are on the golf course or the woods. The location is convenient to so many things, including upscale restaurants in Avon, Beaver Creek, Vail Village and Edwards and the ski resorts. We are looking forward to having a great place to go with our children for many years to come.
What makes this property unique
The house is open and spacious, with a great kitchen. The deck looks out over the golf course and mountains and is a great place to grill and hang out. The skiing and hiking are among the best in the world. With an Epic pass, you can ski Vail and Beaver Creek and the Summit for a reasonable price.
