The surrounding area is beautiful for nice walks. Had a great weekend in this charming little cabin. The police was clean and we were able to bring our dog. Will definitely return.
Wonderful stay, loved the peaceful setting and all the little touches that made it feel like home. Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely stay again!
This place was beautiful and comfy. All of our amenities were provided. Lisa responded immediately to any of our questions. Perfect getaway for anyone. I highly recommend staying here.
Just wanted to give a huge shout-out to our amazing host! We got delayed by a winter storm and arrived later than expected, but they had the cabin all warmed up and ready for us. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Truly made our stay so much more comfortable. Thank you!
We enjoyed our short stay. Very clean. The view was great. We did wish that it had at least a window unit for air conditioning and an oven for making a frozen pizza.
These cabins are super cute and essentially like a studio cabin set up. Bedroom/Living Area is sufficient, Bathroom is really good size & outdoor areas are a bonus!
We loved this place! So smartly designed and romantic! We went sledding and had a great day at Elk! Comfy beds, super well thought out kitchenette. Would love to come again!
we enjoyed our time in this cute and cozy little cabin. it was clean and had all of the necessities. my only suggestion would be a light somewhere inside for those checking in/arriving after dark.
Isolated cabin for a relaxing weekend in the country.
Coming from Philadelphia, it was really great to get out in the country. This cabin is a cluster of four or five other cabins so you’re not completely isolated, but it is definitely out there in the country. Very refreshing change of pace from the city. Nice cabin, well constructed. Simple and affordable.
We stayed two nights for skiing at Elk. Two kids under 9 and two adults. Super chilly conditions. Definitely remote location, but beautiful spot. We brought breakfast, packed lunches for skiing, and cooked dinner one night. Would return!
The cabin was great, very cute and exactly fit my needs, the owners were very accurate in information listed. The property had all of the amenities for a great stay that makes you feel just far enough from real life that you get a much needed break from daily life. The owners were very helpful and I was very happy with their care and keeping of the property in the middle of a wind and snow storm. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I’m going on a ski vacation to Elk Mountain. Only notes are that it is important to bring food since it’s pretty rural however the owners were very upfront about this. :)
We booked the Queen cabin for a little getaway weekend. The cabin was true to the description and pictures. It was clean and well appointed. The furnishings were quite comfortable. The grounds are well maintained. There were only a few other folks staying there but we enjoyed the pavilion, fire pit and outdoor grilling space. The property is on a long rolling hillside with wonderful views. The description was not kidding when it says it's in a very rural area. We only saw a few cars drive by the whole time we were there. That being said, the nearest store/food was a little over 10 minutes away so be prepared to drive to everything. There were plenty of outdoor activities for all seasons. Overall, it was a wonderful space for a couple or bring a group and take advantage of all the communal amenities.
Great location, view of the mountain, and close to Elk Mountain for skiing. Only suggestion is to be prepared for rural back roads when there is a snow storm.
This was our second visit, and We look forward to “queen cabin”. The property is a reliable and awesome escape from the noisy world. Everything was clean and prepped perfectly for our stay. Thank you we will be returning again.
My family has been weekending in Susquehanna County since I was a little girl. We spent our weekends in the mountains, skiing, playing in the ponds and woods and getting dirty.
Now my husband and I buy, renovate. and rent vacation homes in North East PA and at the Jersey Shore. We enjoy creating fun, comfortable spaces where folks can relax, recharge, get dirty and enjoy the great outdoors.
