About this property
Right on the Little Pigeon River! Listen to the sounds of nature!
Located in the exclusive Riversong community in the hamlet of Pittman Center this three bedroom, three bath cabin is perfect for your Smoky Mountains getaway. Situated on the Little Pigeon River, it offers a welcome refuge from the crowds of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, while still being just minutes from each. The cabin also enjoys close access to the Greenbrier entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, just two miles upstream and home to one of the Park’s best swimming holes, the hydraulics, only 100 yards inside the park boundary and enjoyed almost daily by the owner (in summer, of course).
If you’re looking for your perfect basecamp, this is it. Enjoy hikes in the park to Ramsey Cascades, an old farmstead up Porter’s creek, or take the long way up to the peak of Le Conte. Summer activities include tubing down the river, collecting fireflies, and blue-ribbon trout fishing right outside your door! And when you’re done with the day's activities, relax in the hot tub or sit on the deck overlooking the river while steaks sizzle on the grill. When you’re ready to call it a day, open the sliding glass doors from the master onto the screened in porch and drift to sleep while listening to the sound of the river.
Newly available to nightly rentals, this property has been the primary home of the owner during the pandemic as he evacuated London. He has made significant improvements to the home over the last couple of years since it was last on the market.
Hiraeth, a welsh word that roughly translates into ‘a sense of longing for home’ is what best describes this cabin to the owner. Raised a mile upstream in Emert’s cove, the owner is both a native of Pittman Center and a British subject and has paid attention to every detail to make this cabin his country retreat, part Smoky Mountain, part Cotswolds.

About the host
Hosted by Pam Burnup, Manager
The owner of this property lives out of the country so my name is Pam Burnup. I am the manager of the property. I answer your inquiries and take your reservations, as well as manage the cleaning and maintenance for this property. My objective is to see that your stay at our lovely property is the best it can be. I vacationed in the Gatlinburg area for 20 yrs before moving here 15 yrs ago. I always stayed in a cabin/chalet so I have an idea of what I liked and needed as a guest. I hope my experience proves to pay off during your stay.
Why they chose this property
I love this property! The Riversong area, the wooded private location, the sound of the river, and the great floor plan with split bedrooms for privacy are exceptional, as well as the newly added loft bedroom suite for adults or kids. Plus, the location for easy access to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville is fantastic.
What makes this property unique
The first unique benefit is a rental right on the river. It is hard to find a rental on the Pigeon River. Usually owners buy the properties and keep them for themselves and their families. The river is stocked three months out of the year with trout so fishing is quite good right in the backyard of this property.
