Newly constructed home with all amenities to make your holiday stress free.
Home is in a quite location with comfy bedrooms, main with spacious en-suite and walk-in robe robe, plus another separate bath room, two other bedrooms with one queen and two singles. If guests require 2 bedrooms then they must book for 4 people, for 3 bedrooms then book for 6 people. Whatever bedroom configuration required, you have access to rest of home facilities - except one bedroom booked has use of one bathroom only. There is a large comfortable lounge room with a smart TV, lovely dining area adjacent fully operational kitchen, outdoor deck and entertaining area with sea views and a double carport.
Consider car hire on the island as an option instead of bringing your car across on the ferry.

The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful, which we appreciated. Check-in was straightforward. The keys were easy to locate as described.The house was clean inside, apart from the oven. However, the exterior was poorly maintained, with building materials, empty bottles and cans, overgrown grass and weeds, cobwebs, and a clothesline in disrepair.The listing itself was accurate, but the property fell short of the quality we expected for the price. Compared to many other properties we’ve stayed at, the cost felt excessive given the standard of fittings and amenities.Notable issues included:The listing mentioned a BBQ and entertainment area, but these were not provided.We expected a clothes dryer (not listed, but a common amenity), which wasn’t available.The master bedroom door would not close fully.The curtains did not fully cover the sliding doors.There were visible gaps in the carpet where the edges were stapled to the floor.We tried to arrange an early check-in but received no response to our messages until several days after we had checked out.Overall, the property was acceptable for a short stay, but we wouldn’t return or recommend it at this price point.

Very comfortable

Comfortable residence. The beach was a disappointment as it is not a swimming beach and quite rocky. Close to Penneshaw. A few small things could be done, torn flyscreen, wrong size curtains on front door but we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Jim sorry you did not enjoy the beach. I am not sure if you went left of the plover nesting area but this area has a sandy beach especially good at high tide. It is a great area to snorkel, lots of fish. I hope you enjoyed the wine we left you and benefited from getting in early and all the advice we provided of attractions etc. Thanks for staying regards Colin and Julie

Wonderful Property

So happy we decided to stay here. We travelled from Canada and with our Australian friends found this a beautiful location minutes from the ferry terminal and easily accessible. The house is spacious; modern and very well maintained. We had a kangaroo visit us and many beautiful birds of various species and colours. The sunsets were spectacular from the deck and Baudin Beach was easily accessible. The owners remained connected with us in planning our stay; offering great recommendations on what to see and do and communicated with us during the stay. Highly recommend

Short Stay at Baudin Beach

Tidy and very quiet accommodation. Colin is a very helpful host who advised last minute alternate route options to KI during the peak period and saved our holiday. Check in / out procedure was simple. Surprised by native fauna in the front yard one evening. Was a great spot for star gazing as well.

Beautiful stay

We were just at the house for one short night but wished we could have stayed longer. The house is well located, an easy ten minute drive from the ferry, and is beautifully designed and appointed - everything from the bedding to the kitchenware was really thoughtfully chosen. Would very happily stay again.

Julie and Colin are great hosts. Really easy to find. Accomodation is really comfortable. Great kitchen, spacious entertainment area and large cosy bedrooms. Would like to see Colin's progress with the garden in the future.

Conveniently located with short distance from ferry

Great home base, very comfy beds in new home with all mod cons! Short drive to Penneshaw shops and eating places. Near east island attractions. Colin and Julie were friendly and very informative of local attractions. Would recommend anyone to stay there.

Christmas Holiday in KI - Jan 2020

Safe location from bush fires and lovely part of the island to come home to. Property owners are extremely friendly and helpful. I fully enjoy my Christmas holiday. We stayed 8 days and got to experience KI without rushing. The property was brand new and still had finishing touches that needed to be done.
