Welcome to Knotty Pines vacation home located on the sandy lake front of Found Lake in St. Germain, Wisconsin. This beautiful 3 bedroom home features recent updates and added amenities to make your Northwoods vacation as care-free and memorable as possible. With warm knotty pine wood throughout, massive lake facing windows and kitchen skylights, you’ll be inspired by the bright, welcoming details of this vacation rental home.

The main level of the home has a stunningly designed kitchen with island seating and a dining area; both open to the main living room. The living room flows into to an exquisite four-season porch with sweeping views of the lake; the perfect place for early morning coffee!

Relax and unwind in the home’s lower level, where entertaining and comfort are a guarantee! The lower living room has a walkout to the lakefront and a bar that looks out towards the lake. Enjoy some family rivalry playing dice at the bar or enjoy some laughs during a foosball competition. There is also a washer and dryer and a wet bar area with countertops to ensure you have everything you need to keep the family organized or entertained!

Head out onto the deck overlooking Found Lake while grilling under the sun or cozy up along the lake front fire pit to watch the stars sparkle in the Northwoods sky. A charcoal grill is provided, as well as ample seating around the fire pit for memorable smore’s creations. The lakefront is level, large and open for yard games and picnics.

Explore Found Lake from the property’s private pier or meander around the 326-acre lake in the rowboat provided for guest use. Found Lake is known for having great fishing with an abundant supply of panfish and bass along with plentiful numbers of musky, northerns, and walleyes. The lake is also the perfect place to practice your standup paddle board yoga or paddle along the shore searching for a glimpse at a bald eagle or majestic buck.

Summer isn’t the only season to travel to Knotty Pines! With over 500 miles of snowmobile trails and direct access to the trails from the home, the winter season is a constant adventure! Great Weekend Get-a-way

Property was clean and comfortable. Great access to the lake and we used the boat rental service which was amazing. Our stay was short but it was just what we were looking for. Originally we were going to bring our dog as it was a pet friendly place but it we decided not to. You would never know the place had pets in it. Very clean so the staff must take care when cleaning between visitors.

Perfect family getaway

Very responsive to any questions I had. Plenty of boat and guest parking. Only 10 minutes from the grocery store. Cozy, clean and comfortable. Loved the second living room and bar for our extra supplies and coolers. Clean and stocked kitchen. Nice level yard and beautiful water access. Pull out couch and futon gave us plenty of options for visitors. Master bedroom was large enough for the portable crib for our grandbaby. Loved the gas fireplaces! Added ombionce and heat on a chilly morning with coffee.

It was ok..the Pontoon we rented was very nice. We won't be back to this spot again tho...try another place.

Knotty Pines Fall Getaway

This property was what I expected my Northwoods rental to be: not super up-to-date, but plenty adequate to get away from home and enjoy some time in nature. We booked the property due to the four seasons room, and that did not disappoint: even though the weather was chilly, it was nice to still be close to the lake and all the fall colors. The property seemed pretty clean, although we found the dirty coffee pot tucked away in a closet. They have been listening to some suggestions: for example, there were new boards in the steps going down to the lake. The pier could use an update, but that's likely a bigger future project. The kitchen could be stocked a little better, though we were able to cook everything we wanted to. All in all, we had a great stay! We saw wildlife every day and had fun relaxing in the pretty Northwoods.

Knotty Pines Thanksgiving

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the second year in a row we rented the Knotty Pines home on Found Lake for our Thanksgiving celebration. My family and I are once again very pleased in the lake home. It is so comfortable and cozy. Having a bar and play room on the first floor gives everyone a large area to call their own. My wife and dauhter like to read and get comfortable near the fire place and have a great view of the lake. My son-in-law and I enjoy watching the football games on the large bar TV while having a cold beverage and our grandson enjoys playing games and foosball in the downstairs recreation area. There is something for everyone in this home. The location is close to St. Germain with its supermarket, restaurant, shops and a very delightful tree lighting ceremony on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It is a fun place for everyone.

Comfortable property in the north woods

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great - we really enjoyed feeling a bit off grid, and the lake's fish population kept us entertained. The property itself was really nice and comfortable for our party of 5. We really loved the kitchen and the set up for eating. The "nook" in the front of the house was great for reading and enjoying the scenery. And we loved the fire pit. The only real knocks on Knotty Pines were the fact that it was a mostly carpeted property; I'm not a big fan of carpeting, although I know it isn't unusual. The steps going downstairs were also kind of "thin", which made it a bit uncomfortable for the person sleeping downstairs. Also would have been nice to have a fish-cleaning area, but again, these are all just personal preferences. The property wasn't completely cleaned either when we entered, but Hiller did allow us to come in early, so we could live with it. We would stay at the property again.

Highly Recommend!

Maybe a bit Hallmark sounding but Immediately upon arriving we opened the truck doors and felt a huge sense of peace! Entering into the cabin each space was an additional surprise! The lower level had a secondary kitchen space that also hosted a FoosBall table (Would have been hours of fun but the dogs didn't like the family playing it for some reason!) The space was then follow up by a beautiful lower level living room with a pot belly fireplace, TV and large bar. Then you head upstairs and are mesmerized by the view from the open kitchen onto the lake! The kitchen was supplied with just about everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal (we brought the food, spices and tupperware for afterward) The kids then quickly ran down the hall and called out their choice of one of the 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms. The open Sunroom ended up being a favorite of EVERYONE'S. To top off the blissful stay we drove to nearby Boulder Junction to experience yet another Hallmark-like event of Santa arriving and walking through town with Cocoa while looking around in the Shoppes! If its peace and comfort you're in search of ANY time of year....I Highly recommend this gorgeous rental!

Beautiful neighborhood but home needs updates.

Just a weekend getaway. Awesome that dogs are allowed on property. (Neighbors and our dog got off to a rough start. Not fun). Beautiful area but home had filthy carpet throughout. Staircase to lower level was was/is scary. Improvements need to be made for safety reasons. Will not return.

Labor Day on Found Lake

We had a great vacation here. Rented a pontoon boat that was perfect. Waiting for us at the pier. Perfect to just relax with the family and reconnect. Only problem was no WiFi, but it looked like cable might have gotten cut by County road grass cutters. Not anyone's fault. Would definitely recommend this home. Remote enough, but an easy 5 mile bike ride into St. Germain which was the second best thing next to the pontoon boat. We will definitely rent from Hiller's again. Thanks, Denise and family

Family Vacation

There were a few minor things that we noticed like, clothes left behind from previous renters were in dresser drawers, a chair in the dining room had a sign saying it was "broken" dated 5/2021, a piece of patio furniture was broken, one of the beds was missing a crossbar on the frame so the mattress would fall crooked. The yard was nice for hanging out and playing games- our dog also loved running around it! The lake is beautiful - we had a great time boating, tubing, knee boarding and exploring the Island. There are nice hiking/biking trails close by as well. The most disappointing thing were the amount of weeds by the pier. We couldn't play in the water by the pier. The pictures on line did not show that at all. For me, that was the hardest thing. If you wanted to swim or float on something, you had to do it out in the lake where there were less weeds. If I would have known that ahead of time, I wouldn't have picked this property. I think it would be a good investment for the owners to clear the weeds and make it swim friendly.

Bald eagles flying over the cabin and deer walking through the yard. The dog was so excited to see them. The lake views were wonderful.The sun room was a great place to sit and read a book or just look out at the lake. The home is a bit older but felt like a family place. We would definitely stay here again.
