STARLINK INTERNET - This house has business grade internet and is an excellent option if you need to work while staying here.
Vaulted Pine Ceilings. Brazilian Cherry Floors. A Stone Fireplace That Means Business.
Custom-built homes have a way of announcing themselves — not loudly, but in the details that reveal someone actually cared about every decision. The massive stone wood-burning fireplace with its custom wood mantle. The wormy maple cabinets in a kitchen finished with granite and Brazilian Cherry floors. The exposed beam pine ceilings that make the great room feel like it was assembled by someone who understood exactly what a mountain home should feel like from the inside.
This is that home. Nestled on over an acre in the Hidden Springs neighborhood of Highlands, 3.8 miles from Main Street, private enough to genuinely decompress and convenient enough to make town a non-event whenever the group is ready. Five bedrooms across three levels, a game room, a hot tub, a fire pit in the yard, and a screened porch with a gas grill — this is the mountain getaway that checks every box without feeling like it was assembled from a checklist.
A Great Room That Sets the Standard - The main level announces the quality of the whole house immediately. Vaulted pine ceilings with exposed beams stretch overhead, Brazilian Cherry floors run underfoot, and the stone fireplace — massive, wood-burning, anchored by a custom mantle — commands the room with the kind of presence that makes every evening feel like an occasion. The open kitchen flows naturally into the dining nook and great room, finished with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and custom wormy maple cabinetry that provides more storage than most vacation rentals attempt. A king bedroom with a private ensuite completes the main floor for whoever prefers single-level living.
Three Levels, Five Bedrooms, Everyone Accommodated - Upstairs, two queen bedrooms share a well-positioned bathroom — comfortable, private, and removed enough from the main floor activity to offer genuine rest. A twin bedroom with its own ensuite adds flexibility for younger travelers or solo guests who appreciate their own space.
The lower level is where the trip shifts into a higher gear. A game room anchored by a ping-pong table, an oversized sectional sofa, and a large flat-screen TV becomes the unofficial headquarters for rainy afternoons and late nights that outlast everyone's better judgment. A king bedroom with an ensuite and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds — also with its own ensuite — give the lower level enough sleeping capacity to function as a self-contained wing for part of the group. Direct deck access from the hallway puts the hot tub and fire pit within easy reach from this level, which means the kids and teenagers effectively have their own outdoor space without competing for the screened porch upstairs.
Outside: Screened Porch, Hot Tub, Fire Pit — The Full Rotation The screened porch off the main living area handles the social hours — cozy seating, a gas grill, and the particular mountain stillness that a screened porch delivers when the trees are close and the air is cool. The covered lower deck takes the evening in a different direction: a hot tub positioned for maximum relaxation after a long hike, additional seating for whoever needs the quieter outdoor space, and private access from the lower king bedroom for mornings that deserve to begin outside.
When the night calls for something more elemental, the fire pit in the yard pulls everyone together — the lower deck connects directly to it, which means the transition from hot tub to fire pit is approximately twelve steps and entirely worth making.
Hidden Springs, Highlands, Everything in Between - The Hidden Springs neighborhood offers the privacy of acreage and trees without the remoteness of being genuinely far from town. Main Street Highlands is 3.8 miles — acclaimed restaurants, boutique shopping, waterfalls, hiking trails, and everything else that makes Highlands worth the drive from wherever you're coming from. Come for a long weekend. Book a full week. With a game room, a hot tub, a fire pit, and five bedrooms spread across three thoughtfully designed levels, leaving the property requires actual motivation.
The stone fireplace will be here when you get back.

Thank you for your review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the spacious layout, peaceful neighborhood, and convenient location between Highlands and Cashiers. We’d love to host you again anytime!
This house is amazing! Plenty of space for 4 couples (and could've fit 5). The amenities of the hot tub, outdoor fire pit, indoor fireplace, and screened porch were incredible! The location is also perfect as you're pretty evenly spaced between Highlands and Cashiers. I would recommend this house to others and would stay here again!

Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re so glad the home was a perfect fit for your group and that you enjoyed all the amenities—from the hot tub and fire pit to the cozy fireplace and screened porch. It’s wonderful to hear the location worked so well for exploring both Highlands and Cashiers. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to welcome you back for another stay!
We had 14 people stay for a week. We had all ages including kids, teenagers, adult couples and single adults. The layout of the house was wonderful for our big group. We loved the hot tub, fire pit and ping pong table. The Christmas tree and holiday decorations made our family gift exchange quite special. The adults played games, drank coffee and sipped wine upstairs with a roaring fire. Meanwhile the younger generation enjoyed their space downstairs. We would definitely consider visiting again!

We always love Highlands and staying in this home made it all the more wonderful. Great space with ground and first floor living areas -- the hot tub and fire pit were added bonuses to this wonderful home. We'll definitely plan to return.

We had a fabulous stay in highlands exploring local water falls, swimming holes, visiting the town, renting a boat on lake glenville and even going tubing on deep creek in Bryson city. The location was great, a few minutes to highlands and 15 min to Cashiers. We traveled with 3 families and we all fit comfortably in BlackBerry. Definitely recommend.

My friends and I attended a wedding and this cabin was perfect for all of the couples and single guests to stay in. It was very clean. The place was larger than expected from the pictures so we were pleasantly surprised. We were grateful for the early check!
The hot tub with a view was another added bonus!

We loved everything about the house. Our family of 13 enjoyed the home and the surrounding area. We found this home at the last minute because of a previous reservation that had to be canceled in the Boone, North Carolina area. We were so pleased with this home that we would definitely consider renting it in the future. The house is actually so much better than the pictures portray it

Thank you for the wonderful review Teresa. We're so glad that The Blackberry was available for you and you enjoyed your stay.
My husband and I stayed here with our family including 3 adult daughters and one son-in-law as well as two babies under 2. The house was absolutely perfect! The bottom floor was perfect for our daughter with her husband and babies. The master suite was great for my husband and me and the top floor housed the rest. We had plenty of room to gather and really enjoyed the wooded property. One of the best houses that we’ve stayed in.

Very nice place and very clean. The only problem is it stayed cold downstairs…about 63 degrees. The upstairs thermostat did not seem to control it, as I was told.

Thanks for the review Kay. We're so sorry you weren't able to get the downstairs to warm up. We will have the issue looked at and make sure that we're providing the correct information in our guest guide.
The management company was very quick in response and helped with recourses that we wanted. They allowed me in early to prepare before the guests arrived. When the guests left some items were left behind so they contacted us to see how we would like to handle said items. Very friendly and eager to accommodate.
