About this property
Old world meets new updates
A historic 1910 home has been converted into a modern, spacious, two story condo on a corner lot.
This newly updated spacious home with an open layout, updated kitchen and tons of natural light.
Outdoor space includes a back patio with a grill and dining table, shared enclosed front porch, and huge roof deck overlooking a newly renovated multi-million dollar park.
Our place is a across the street from the park (which is new and fenced in so the little ones can run around!), 1 block to the dog park, 4 blocks to the Washington Mall, 3 blocks to the supermarket and 6 blocks to the beach box (Jefferson Beach, during season), which can optionally use to store your own beach gear.
Come stay at our 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, pet friendly home (as with most VRBOs in Cape May, you must provide your own sheets and towels. People also use Linen Ladies to provide them for them.).
Interested in more room? We can attempt to coordinate with the other two units in the building to provide up to 9 bedrooms! Just let us know.

Great location, a little far from the beach but still walkable. The house was clean and perfect for our group of 6 and our small dog. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved staying here for our Cape May visit! Easily walkable to all the downtown shops and restaurants, playground across the street was great for the kids. The unit itself was very clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. Matt was an excellent host! Highly recommend!
Adorable and very convenient home, has everything you need. Just a 10 minute walk to town or beach. Very close to coffee, wonderful restaurants and shops. We absolutely loved our stay and loved Cape May! One negative, which is why we dropped a star (and because we have never encountered this before) we found out that not including linens and towels is apparently somewhat normal for east coast rentals. This is inconvenient if you are flying in (in addition to an added expense if you need to purchase or rent them) Our host suggested Linen Ladies to rent and they were awesome,Lauren came through for us.
Matt is wonderful. Our family has been staying at his rental property for several years now. He is very accommodating; he responds quickly to any questions and the house is spacious and well equipped with everything needed to have any enjoyable trip.
The house was well-furnished, had good appliances and the location for town was great. Kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and the central air worked great.
Location is perfect- easy walk to shop and eat. Condo was fully equipped with everything we needed. Happened to meet the property manager- very nice and friendly guy!
Some family and I enjoyed an extended Memorial Day at this property. Great kitchen, comfortable beds. We did not use the house porch, grill or beach box, but was nice to know they were available.
We stayed for a week in June and loved it. The house is adorable with plenty of space. The living room was so comfy, watching TV exhausted from the day. Close to restaurants and shops. So much to do. A little bit of a walk to the beach but we didn’t mind because there was a large box on the beach for all of your stuff. We would definitely stay here again.
Shopping is very close by. Very close to 2 beaches. Dog park directly across street. I only had 1 issue with the clothes dryer was so full of lint underneath lint filter that could not be reached. Ripped some clothing.
Third year in a row staying at this great property. It is beautiful, conveniently located to the heart of town and very clean, comfortable and well stocked with the necessities.
Older house away from the ocean. Clean enough. Has some problems with age in spots on exterior and needs a little updating for safety. Upstairs bathroom is underwhelming. Has plenty of kitchen utensils and a good exterior grill. Close to downtown shopping.
Traveled with my husband two adult children and their spouse and our one year old grand son. Everything was within walking distance. We had a great stay.
Loved everything about this house. It was so comfortable and spacious. Really liked all three f the kitchen amenities. Everything we needed was so easy to find. The owners were so easy to deal with, responding immediately when we had a question. The location is really convenient to everything we wanted to do in Cape May, especially walking to great restaurants for dinner. Definitely hoping to return.
This is the 3rd different house we've stayed in in Cape May and it's been our favorite! The location is great, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the property had everything we needed! I highly recommend.
Our family travels to Cae May every year after Christmas for my daughter's birthday and New Year's Eve. The property is great. Clean and very conveniently located. Easy check in and check out, great amenities, spacious for family game night. We love staying here and look forward to it every year.
This is the second time my family has stayed at this wonderful property and it is just perfect for us. We love the location, the beds are comfy, everything is clean and it feels like a real home with all one would need. We stayed here a total of 16 nights so far over 2 years and can't recommend it enough! You won't be disappointed!
It was such a breath of fresh air to find a rental that was both baby and dog friendly! The space was cozy without having the grandmas house feel that most beach houses can have. It had easy parking, and was a short walk to so many restaurants and the beach, so everything was super stress free.
We had a wonderful time, and our stay was so comfortable. Location was great, walkable to shops and grocery. It was so convenient and such a lovely home. The home was well equipped, and we had everything we needed to make home cooked meals. I would definitely like to return to this particular home in the future.

We feel in love with Cape May in 2014 during an office season get away for Matt’s Birthday. We feel in love with the charm and history of the town. We knew instantly that we wanted to purchase a beach house in Cape May. A few years later we made that dream a reality and in October 2016 we purchased 902 Lafayette.
Matt and I meet in Hoboken, NJ and in 2012 we got married Tulum, Mexico. We currently live in downtown Philadelphia, PA. Matt is Computer Science professor at Drexel University and I work for Jazz Pharmaceuticals as a Regional Manager helping patients with chronic pain get pain relief with an non-opioid option.
