This Rent In Highlands vacation rental home has a strict NO PET policy. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a $1000.00 fine.

Only adults (25 years old and older) may reserve this property and an adult must occupy the property at all times.

Built in 2011, this beautiful cottage is filled with French charm.  Light, & bright with a warm modern rustic feel, the judicious use of natural stone, honey colored wood and whitewashed walls, this home is magazine worthy but family friendly.  The soaring, open concept great room with two seating areas, one for reading by the fire and the other for movie night, make it the perfect home for entertaining your friends or family.

Main Level:
The spacious kitchen features ample counter space and large windows that bring the outdoors in. The elegant primary suite includes a footed tub and walk-in shower for a spa-like experience. Enjoy the breezy front porch with a view of Satulah Mountain, a gas firepit, and a porch swing perfect for sunsets. Just two blocks from downtown Highlands and a popular walking path around Harris Lake.

Upper Level:
Two bedrooms, each with two double beds, plus a loft with a trundle bed for extra sleeping space.

Outdoor Spaces:
The front porch is perfect for relaxing or entertaining, with a cozy porch swing and lounge seating on one side and a dining table on the other. Just off the kitchen, step out onto the back patio where a grill and charming iron bistro set for two await—ideal for quiet morning coffee or evening cookouts.

Rent In Highlands Vacation Rental Cancellation Policy

Policy (A)  for reservations less than 20 days:
A reservation canceled between 0-45 days prior to arrival is not eligible to receive a refund. If more than 45 days notice is given, the renter shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of 10% of the Total Cost of the Reservation.

Policy (B) for reservations of 20 days or more and reservations made 6 months in advance:
NO refund is given unless the property is re-rented under the same terms (Trip insurance is available and recommended to help protect your trip).

A wonderful stay! What a cute, quaint mountain cottage. Cozy and comfy. We had such a great time sipping coffee on the front porch and snuggling and watching some football in the spacious living room. I truly felt at home.

Sweetwood Cottage is a Special Place!

We can't wait to visit again. Sweetwood Cottage was the perfect location for our girls trip. It was beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home. While we didn't realize we had planned our trip in the "off season" there was still plenty of shopping and fine dining available. Looking forward to our next visit and stay at Sweetwood.

Beautiful Property

We loved everything about this house. It was cozy, clean, and well stocked. We were able to walk into town. The mgmt company was extremely easy to work with. This was one of my favorite rentals and we've stayed in many. Thank you for the lovely stay.

MLK weekend getaway

We were looking for a quick weekend getaway from Atlanta and looking for a little snow. Great property!! Love the layout of the house. We visit Highlands a few times a year and this property is one of the best we have stayed at. Felt like home away from home. We will definitely look to stay here again when we come back up.

Absolutely Charming!

We stay at many VRBOs and this was by far, one of the most charming. It was so welcoming AND clean. Every essential detail was taken care of as far as comfort and needed items. We feel very fortunate to have located this home and we would definitely reserve this property again.

Cozy mountain getaway

What a blessing! We absolutely loved the long weekend we spent at the Sweetwood Cottage and can’t wait to go back. Wonderful weekend with friends

Had a cozy and relaxing girls weekend in this beautiful mountain cabin. The cabin was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We had one small snafu while there and after calling the number provided it was fixed immediately. Thank you Joe! Run don't walk to rent this fantastic home away from home.
