Welcome to the Sunset Point Estate on Lake Travis by ABOVE Vacation Residences. Past the famous Oasis Restaurant and only 25 minutes from downtown Austin, you will find this incredible with expansive views of Lake Travis. The modern rustic style and finishes create a cool “Austin” space for gathering with friends and family. This 2-level property offers so much to entertain your group from the media room upstairs to the indoor game room downstairs with a pool table and couch for relaxing. Step outside to the expansive pool area complete with a hot tub, lounge areas, and shuffleboard table. The lake has a floating party dock, accessible to Guests by stairs. This property is regularly set for 16 guests, but, with homeowner approval, can host as many as 22 guests with luxury Frontgate beds which would also be set with ABOVE standard luxury linens. Additional fees may apply. All guests must be pre-approved to rent this estate. A full guest list will be required. Boat slip may be available by approval and with a fee.

Hosted 17 folks in our party and it was overall a great stay. With a house this big there will always be little issues but the team at Above were quick to help and take care of issues. I appreciated their follow up and quick feet. Rooms were great, movie room was great, house was clean. Overall would rent again.

What a stay! This house delivers - kitchen was great and well apportioned. I will say the pictures do not do the pool justice- it was great. We spent a lot of time joying the outdoor space - outdoor furniture was super comfortable. Lake level was fine - had a boat pick us up from the dock for a day on the water. The house was clean and plenty of tvs around, which was awesome for watching football over the weekend. Really enjoyed it.

Family time

The property was wonderful , however check in process was too long the management company did not communicate that you needed to pay 100 a day for more towels Each guest only received 1set during stay our family just bought more Every time we wanted to use hot tub we had to ask permission and they would turn on through their phone. We could not just use when we wanted. We did not have any problems with the property manager visiting daily but entering in bedroom without knocking was a problem.

Over Marketed and No Consistent Maintenance

A/C issues the entire stay. Home Theater didn't work when arrived and after they fixed it, the temp when watching a movie was 80-81 in the theater. Washing machine failed, home missing amenities such as napkins, toilet paper, paper towels. One face cloth and one bath towel for each adult guest. Ten pool towels for a week for 10 guests meaning you need to wash each day, (but cant for some of the time since the washing machine was out). Pantry, closets, extra fridges inside and outdoor fridges by the pool, all of the lake deck spaces locked and not for guest use. Had to either store food for the week on the kitchen counter or in the laundry room. Elevator locked meaning only outdoor staircase can be used to access the game room, pool, bunk room, and the downstairs bedroom and 10 of 12 bulbs on the staircase were out. Light bulbs out or missing everywhere on the property. Homeowner wants every guest to sign a liability waiver and a "home manager" checks on the guests every day, (who also knew very little about the operation of the home). To get to the deck it was 80 metal steps down to the deck with handrails missing and or loose and with all deck amenities locked up made it useless to use or enjoy.

The outdoor entertainment area was phenomenal, plenty of room to enjoy being by the lake on a nice day without giving up much privacy. The location on the lake itself was prime as well, close access to the highway into town and also to the Oasis, a Lake Travis staple.Would recommend doing large family gatherings, bachelor parties, or anything in between at this home. Thanks for having us.

The pool wasn’t heated which we were billed for. Trash was still at the property and in the kitchen when we arrived with the host. And we left early because it wasn’t what we expected. If a refund was possible I would gladly take it

In regards to the trash left in the kitchen, our team follows a detailed checklist detailing over 200 items on this specific property. Unfortunately, it would seem we missed here. Excellent property and great place for larger groups

We rented the house for a bachelor party weekend, with 16 guys. The house is perfect for large groups. There was plenty of space to sleep and all the rooms were very nice and well done. There is a large downstairs patio area (that is covered, which is great for the Texas Heat), with an outdoor kitchen pool and multiple TV's. The group spent a lot of time out here watching football. Large yard and a great boat dock that is also a great place to hang out. We were all impressed by all of the little details of the house. It's very clear that it was built for entertaining. The Above folks were great - very responsive and easy to work with. They can help with anything and make the trip hassle free. Anything you want, from breakfast to games to a private chef they are able to arrange. Highly recommend.

Sunset point Not worth your money and time

Reviewer Comments: House was not clean needs to be scrubbed, some showers didn’t work, around the pool ,,the floors where slippery kids kept falling dangerous,,boat dock not available,,they show the picture but once you signed the contract it’s not available,,basically selling pictures online , it’s not worth half the price , can’t even turn the hot tube on ,every time you gotta call let them turn it on . No unloading ramps close by,, payed $18000 + for 3 night , the biggest joke , worst vacation we have ever had , service sucks , please don’t rent this sunset point not worth it ,,has a trailer park next to it , you get Basically no privacy, pool is made for kids only 4 to 5 feet deep . We where a family of 14 kids loved the pool . But every adult complained about this place .(beware)
