It's a place that holds onto its history while still feeling easy to live in.
Sleeping arrangements Three bedrooms are made up with plush beds and soft linens, set up for up to six guests. Room-darkening blinds keep mornings quiet after a late night out, and the curated décor throughout gives each room its own character. Two full bathrooms serve the home, one with a clawfoot tub for a long soak and another with an updated walk-in shower, both stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.
Kitchen & dining The kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and the cooking basics already on hand. Outdoor living The fully fenced back garden gives you a private patch of grass and a patio set with outdoor furniture, good for a slow breakfast or drinks as the evening cools down. Easy spot to navigate to Super Dome and Uptown/Tulane area with walking distance to Magazine Street shops and restaurants and cute coffee shops. Plenty of on street parking availability. Host was easy to reach and accommodating for an early check-in as we had dinner reservations we needed to get cleaned up for our first night. Great option for our party of 5. Only thing I would caution is that one of the two bathrooms has a claw foot tub/shower combo that was a little tricky to get in and out of even for middle-aged people- we made our parents (late 70s) use the other walk-in shower bathroom. I'm going to suggest to the owners that a grab bar or something be installed.

Thanks for the 5-star review! Glad the location, parking, and early check-in worked well for your group of five. Appreciate the heads-up about the claw-foot tub; that’s helpful feedback, and we’ll look into adding a grab bar or other assistive option. We’d love to host you again next time you’re in New Orleans.
Comfy beds, great fixtures, thoughtful host. A plus location especially if you are a former resident or visiting residents. A true neighborhood gem in my favorite part of the city.
This place had all the amenities you could need. Very impressed with the medicine cabinet. Glad we didn’t need anything but it was very thoughtful for them to provide something If you needed it in a pinch.

Happy to have hosted you and so glad that you enjoyed staying in our home!
Great location, very walkable to Magazine, Rouse's grocery, and Tipitina's music venue. We had a lovely stay and property was as advertised. I did have to reach out a couple of times to get information on check-in, including the day of travel. It would have been a bit smoother if the host had communicated pro-actively but other than that, no issues!

NOLA 2024
Let's start out with all the good stuff. Great spot. Easy walk to Magazine. Just a few blocks to Rouse's Market (awesome). Beds were super comfortable. Tons of really good pillows. Kitchen had nice glasses and silverware which is often not the case in rentals. Bathrooms super clean. Better than advertised.
On the downside, communication was not good. Confusing texts and emails from various sources. I'm not even sure who the host was. Strange forms to fill out, one of them at the last minute, strange robotic communications. Did not get move in information until after check in time.
Overall the house worked well for my family. The kitchen needs a toaster and a few more cutting boards. The only problem we encountered was the front door lock. I think it is partially broken and was difficult to use.
