My family and I had such a wonderful stay at Victoria's chalet over Christmas! The house was the perfect size for our group (5 adults 3 children), the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped for our needs, and we all loved the various spaces to gather and spend time together. On top of the beautiful home, communicating with Victoria was super easy--she responded to messages quickly and could not have been more welcoming. Thank you for our stay!
We had a fantastic stay. Everything was perfect. Victoria was quick to respond and help us with anything we needed. Highly recommend. Definitely want to stay here again.
Private, nicely landscaped lot. Large, comfortable, very well equipped house. Great kitchen; lots of facilities that we didn't even use!

Experience
This cottage is very close to a highway it’s loud. Christie beach is the closest and was very muddy. There were mice in the basement and guests sleeping down there had to sleep on the couch upstairs. We also ran out of water during the week however this was rectified quickly with property owner. The biggest issue was the mice this was mentioned to the owner but was never addressed or compensated for. One of them fell from the ceiling on a guest while laying on the couch. Property manager was responsive, kitchen was well equipped and getting into cottage was easy. Mice in the basement was the biggest issue. Overall we made the best of it with our family.

Thank you Steve for your feedback which I personally considering very unfair. If there were such a big issue with one off mouse, loud highway and closest beach why would did you asked to stay in s cottage for an extra day? I guess because you really enjoyed your stay. We keep very high standards and pride about our chalet. We keep it spotless. Grounds are clean and beautiful.
We spent $1,500 when we bought it this winter just to seal the house from any mice entry. During our ownership we didn’t see any mice in the house. Still, it’s a house and we can’t be 100% sure mouse doesn’t find it’s was to get inside.
As for water , I am specifically mention to my guests to conserve water. I have reminders in washrooms. Chalet is located on a beautiful Niagara Escarpment and underground water is not good for drinking. We have to bring municipal water to the house. You started with 49% of water in canister which would be enough for a week. You ran out of water in 2 days. Unfortunately it was a long weekend and water was delivered only next day.
As for beaches, we have at least 4 beaches to choose from within 5 min drive. I can’t recommend any as I am a new owner and still discovering surroundings. I had been at Lora Bay beach. It has a beautiful sandy beach. Christie beach water is warmer because it shallow.
Two star review seems to be very exaggerated on your end. Too bad you couldn’t appreciate our beautiful chalet.
