Perfect spot

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was perfect after two long days of racing. The views were unbelievable looking across the lake. Plus, the town was just a short drive away, along with the geothermal areas, that you could walk to. I highly recommend staying here.

We were a family group of 9, from a 2 yrs to 70's. Weather was far from ideal for our 3 night stay, but this home delivered so well with its spacious comfort, warmth and relaxation. We had everything we needed, and more Would definitely love to return. Thanks Cynthia and Joe

What a view

We absolutely loved our stay at Taha Moana. The view is a show stopper. We really enjoyed waking up and looking out at the lake and the gorgeous scenery. It was a quick and easy 5 minute drive to the shops and a lot of the activities we did (Zorbing, Skyline and the Mitai Maori Village dinner). The check in process was easy and Joe and Cynthia responded to quickly to any messages we sent. When we arrived, we found some treats and snacks had been left for us to have , which was a great touch. As a family of 5, we had plenty of room. Our teen was thrilled with her own upstairs loft type bedroom and powder room. There is also a master bedroom with an ensuite and incredible views of the garden and lake, plus 3 other bedrooms. One with a Queen bed, one with 2 singles beds and another with single bunk beds. The laundry facilities made it easy for us to do a mid-holiday clothes wash which was very handy. There is a washing machine, dryer, washing powder, iron, ironing board and clothes drying rack. The kitchen is beautiful and has all the utensils and equipment you need to be able to cook your own meals. The garage had kayaks and life jackets available to use, however the lake was a bit choppy while we were there, so we did not make use of this equipment. Instead we used the fire pit provided (stored in the garage) and had a great night sitting around the fire out the back, taking in the view before it got dark and enjoying a wine. I highly recommend a stay at Taha Moana. Thank you Joe and Cynthia.

Uninterrupted lake view & peaceful spot only a few mins from town centre. Well-appointed & comfortable with thoughtful touches of hospitality (thank you for the welcome wine & nibbles!). A lovely stay.

Kawaha Point review

I was so glad I chose this property, just as described in the listing. And SO warm, with central heating and heatpumps. I was very pleased to get great communication texts from Joe the week we were due to stay and then when we arrived he was in the next door home and introduced himself. And the next day he checked in via text to make sure all was well. No stress, lovely holiday.
