We very much enjoyed our time at the camp and wish we could have spent more time. Waking up to the sounds of the loons on the lake every morning is something we’ll always love about Maine and this property.

Absolutely perfect

We loved every second of our stay. The cabin is rustic and simple but still had everything we needed. We spent our days fishing and kayaking and just enjoying the peace and quiet. The neighbors were incredibly friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back

Amazing Family Experience

Whether kayaking, fishing or swimming in beautiful Moulton Pond, watching and listening to the loons and hummingbirds, enjoying a campfire or gathering nearby wild berries, your family will have an unforgettable vacation at this beautiful cabin. Put the iPhones away and let nature do her thing. What an amazing experience!

Beautiful remote cabin right next to small and quiet Moulton Pond. Lots of space for a family of 5, with 3 beds and a half bath upstairs, my husband and I stayed in the bedroom downstairs with the only bathroom with a shower which worked out fine. The kitchen was stocked with pots/pans and an array of utensils - we cooked every meal and enjoyed the evenings around the fire roasting marshmallows and listening to the sounds of the bullfrogs and the resident loon family. Be aware you are in the woods so there are lots of bugs, spiders and other flying and crawling insects. The water at this time of year was refreshing however when the wind kicked up it got a bit cool. The kayaks were a plus and we tried fishing but only caught small sunfish and smelt (smaller than my hand!) There were several worthwhile hikes under 30min away and of course Acadia National Park is only an hour drive just get there early before the crowds. The Beehive trail was one of the highlights of our trip though not for those fearful of heights! Camden State Park is an hour way and well worth it and the town is cute as well. Our family enjoyed our stay in Maine, the farm fresh eggs, browsing the antique and thrift stores, and just enjoying nature.

Magical Moulton Pond in Maine!!

Our week long stay at Moulton Pond was wonderful. The house was so welcoming and warm and had everything we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable. The location right next to the Pond allowed us to have meals and drinks outside while enjoying the beautiful water and trees. We even had loon sightings which was an extra treat. Ann provided all the information about things to do in the Bucksport area and even some extra. She was always in communication with us quickly via e-mail for any questions we had. It was just perfect and we would definitely come back again.

Perfectly peaceful getaway

This home has everything that you need! Although it is about an hour from Bar Harbor, the relaxing/quiet setting that this spot boasts is completely worth it. Our kids ages 7, 10, and 12 had plenty to do from numerous board games and puzzles to kayaking and berry picking. The home is older but everything was in working order! We cooked several meals in the kitchen, on the grill and over the fire. The host is super responsive which we appreciated :) We would definitely come back!

Accuracy of listing.

The stay overall was above satisfactory. This property is listed as Two (2) full baths. It in fact has one 3/4 bath (toilet, sink & shower stall - no tub) and one half bath (toilet & sink only). This may cause an issue if multiple quests, it supposedly sleeps (7) seven, need to shower in a short amount of time, as there is only one shower.

Hidden gem

Our stay in Bucksport was nothing short of perfect. The location was ideal-set at the end of a gorgeous pond, secluded and peaceful. The camp itself was charming with a rich family history (take the time to read host Ann’s thoughtful guidebook). You’re given access to a private dock, floating dock, 2 kayaks, a great campfire set up, and a comfortable and cozy camp. This rental is perfect for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, and enjoy some quiet time on the pond. We spent our days swimming, kayaking, and just relaxing. Host Ann was extremely responsive , offering helpful suggestions and things to do. She seems to genuinely want her guests have a great time and makes you feel like you’re a friend of the family! We enjoyed our stay with our busy 3 year old and would definitely recommend for families or anyone who appreciates nature.
