Another great location, overlooking the 10th green at Oxmoor Valley's RIDGE golf course. The Crenshaw was built specifically for groups, with 4 Master Suites, 8 Queen Beds, Pool Table, 5 HDTV's, 10 ft ceilings, and over 3,200 square feet of space. The amenities are all 1st Class, and the floor-plan is a Wide Open Concept. There's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax, or enjoy the huge putting green outside. We have 3 "Oster Golf Houses" in Birmingham to accommodate groups from 4 to 20. The Crenshaw pricing is based on 8 guests, but we allow up to 12. Each additional guest is $125 plus tax, per night.

Everything was so wonderful from the moment we pulled up to the property. Easy instructions for using keypad for the door and the house didnt take long to cool off for us to relax and enjoy. Each of the suites were very accommodating and the towels for the bathrooms were amazing. We had such a wonderful time with our group and had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the weekend.

Guys Golf Trip

5 stars all the way around, from the bedroom set-up, to the putting green, screened in porch, etc. Our only issue was a light bulb was out on the exterior of the house so the guys had to grill in the dark. It was a perfect weekend and plans are already being made to do it again next year!

Household Maintenance

The overall custom house was suitable for our family and very spacious. However, the household maintenance and cleanliness lacked in many areas. (I.e. towels looked to be used, remotes missing batteries, and light bulb needed changing).

Wow. In 15 years of hosting thousands of people, this is our first 3 star review. Ashley had boxes of fireworks delivered to our home and we advised her that they were not allowed. I guess this is her revenge. We provide batteries in case you need them during your stay, and we also provide extra light bulbs. Our linens are absolutely luxurious and the towels are plush and thick. More importantly, we have a caretaker available 24/7 to take care of any needs you have. Please know that we have been operating vacation rental homes for golfers for over 15 years and have NEVER received a 3 star review. Please consider the source.

Friends & Family

After a year of being isolated due to Civid, we were looking forward to getting together with a couple of our friends and family. While the house overall is lovely, I was thoroughly disappointed when we saw some of the upkeep. The front entrance doorway and porch was not cleaned and the rug in the foyer was also dirty. The bedroom that we stayed in had large dirt spots as well. The cushions on the screened in porch were really dirty!! Because if COVID and the price that you pay for these homes, you expect things to be in order and immaculate. I have stayed at this host property several times and this was not typical of how his homes are maintained. I will continue to book them, but will ask to check to see them before my final payment is made.

After 261 FIVE STAR reviews, we received our first 4 star. The spring air is full of life, but also full of pollen, which found its way onto our porches. We take tremendous pride in thoroughly impressing our guests, but evidently we failed on this one. I can't tell you how much that bothers us! We will hose down the porches daily if we have to. If the foyer rug has a spot on it, we will replace it with a brand new one. Thanks for letting us know.

Perfect Golf Getaway

this is the perfect house for a long golf weekend playing Robert Trent Jones courses Oxmoor Valley and Ross Bridge. It overlooks a hole on the Oxmoor Valley course and has a nice practice putting green next to the house.

2019 Graduates #RollTide

Rented the house for Bama graduation. Took my 89 year old mother to see her granddaughter graduate. House was perfect. Exactly as pictured. Quiet street on the golf course. Publix grocery close by. Great kitchen and living spaces for the celebration afterwards. Can’t say enough good things about this property. One of the best we have rented from VRBO to date.

My son was married this past weekend at the Barn at Shady Lane just down the road. Crenshaw was the perfect place for my family to stay for the weekend. We were even able to invite some of the out of town groomsmen to stay with us. Not only was it convenient and clean but there was plenty of entertainment for the groomsmen during their down time (pool table, cards, basketball and putting green at the house).

We had a fantastic stay at Sand Ridge! It was the perfect set-up for our large family gathering!!

I started looking for a place to stay for our daughter’s graduation from UA, Tuscaloosa 8 months out and was starting to get discouraged. Hotel rates quadrupled for mediocre, at best, rooms and the selection on other home rental sites were either much farther away or not at all appealing. I was thrilled to discover HomeAway and even more so when I saw that this house was available!! We all came in on Thursday. The boys golfed on Friday, while the ladies had a spa/retail therapy day in Birmingham. We spent Friday night at the house- relaxing, grilling-out, and just enjoying our family time on the porch, playing pool, and talking in the large, open living area. Having all the comforts and of home, being new, clean, and modern, as well as making wonderful memories during our stay made this house well worth the price! Thank you!!

This house is perfect for family weekend getaways!

I rented this house for our family to be able to stay together for my niece’s wedding this weekend at The Barn at Shady Lane. The groom’s parents rented the other 4 BR Oster house about 4 doors down and the Bride’s parents rented another VRBO property right between these. The houses are about two minutes from this perfect wedding venue! Back to this specific house for this review - it was amazing! All four bedroom suites are downstairs and are perfectly appointed. Walk upstairs and find yourself in an enormous space that was so perfect we were sad to leave. We found everything we needed and believe me, the pictures online do not do this space justice! The owner has thought of everything and promptly responded with every question I had and clear instructions with alarm codes, internet passwords, etc. He also provided a link to extensive information on restaurants, shopping and other attractions in the area. I did visit the other Oster house and it was equally incredible. I understand the Osters have houses available in several locations other than Birmingham and I would definitely look for one of them if we were planning a trip there.
