Very nice, cozy condo on the third level offers views of the town and harbor from the balcony. In addition to the bedroom, there are 2 roll away mattresses available for the third and fourth occupants. |Occupants subject to Bahia Vista Condo Owners Association Rules and Regulations. B42 | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis mid-June through Labor Day with a 3-night minimum. ----- ***Bahia Vista pool has re-opened. Hours of operation: 9am-9pm daily. The jacuzzi is only heated during the weekends (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) until Memorial weekend. Both pool and jacuzzi will be heated from Memorial weekend to Labor Day and during Thanksgiving and Christmas break.** This property is in a residential community and is only suitable for quieter groups. NO smoking, NO parties/events. NO pets allowed per HOA rules. You must be 25+ years old to rent this property. No daytime visitors allowed. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before booking. Violations of these rules will result in immediate eviction with no refunds. Property Management provided by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals.

Nice place in a good, quiet location. Walkable to everything. Pretty view on the balcony. The unit is a mix of updated and outdated. New appliances and counters, but old cabinets and an old TV for example. But it's a comfortable unit for a vacation. We brought our baby, and they gave us a pack n play to use. Everything worked out well. The property management company was responsive when we had a fire alarm run out of batteries and came right away to fix.

Perfect versatile condo

Me and family stayed here. Plenty of room for us. Super easy check in check out. Very responsive owner. Clean property. Has a jacuzzi. Easy to locate which is nice because even though its small. A lot of these spots can get confusing. Overall aweaome stay

Pros: Great location. Clean and updated condo. Cons: Bed is very hard and uncomfortable. Hard boiled egg smell coming from bathroom that fills the entire condo. Every time we came back to the unit, we had to open all of the doors and turn on fans to air out the unpleasant smell.

Beautiful view and location but...

The place is in a great location, the balcony has a very beautiful view with BBQ, the only issue is the place was not clean. The rollaway bed was extremely dirty, my family member tried sleeping on it and 5 minutes later she started to have itching of her extremity and she had to sleep on the couch. I contacted the property owner and they dropped off an air mattress the day after which we did not even open because it's not comfortable to begin with. If it is just 2 people the king bed is just fine but definitely would NOT recommend for 4 people . Also there was dog hair all over the patio chairs, I sent a picture to the owner since we couldn't use it and no response.

Wonderful balcony, best for 2 only, pool surprisingly closed

Amazing large balcony with view, great beach chairs and gear, and well-stocked kitchen. Not an easy layout for more than two people as bathroom is accessed only through the bedroom and roll-away beds very uncomfortable (mattress dips in the middle horribly). I struggled to get in contact with CIVR prior to my stay, but day of they were very communicative and helpful. Per usual at Bahia Vista, there are a lot of stairs to navigate so don’t plan on using a stroller or a cart. Also, no idea the pool was closed for over a year! Very misleading.

Cozy place

Great cozy place. Balcony view was awesome and easy walking distant to everything. The place was fully stocked with everything needed to cook, grill and enjoy the beach. Only complaint would be that the swimming pool and jacuzzi were not open but that is the facilities fault not the rental place. Definitely would be nice to know next time or informed during the check in process. I would recommend this unit

The Condo

The condo was a great place to stay. Great location, super view. The unit could use some updating, such as all faucets. The shower faucet was very difficult to turn from cold to hot. In general, all the plumbing could use updating. The bathroom is pathetic.

Beautiful view! Very tired/worn out and ragged inside. No blow dryer...which was a bummer since I style my hair with one every day. Everything worked ok except gas grill wouldn’t start on day 2. We changed out tank but the starter just wouldn’t work. This place could be fantastic if they’d only update/repair flooring, bathroom, etc...

Clean apartment, but very uncomfortable building

While the apartment itself was clean, it was also run down and showed its age, especially the kitchen and bathroom. The building layout is horrible, especially for families with strollers or those with mobility issues. There are several SETS of stairs that you need to ascend to get to the elevator, and there is a set of stairs you need to descend from the entryway of the unit to the living room. Furthermore, the trash disposal chute is near the front of the building, forcing you to carry your trash bags from the unit, down the elevator and down several sets of stairs. The biggest issue with this building is the fact that its half short-term rentals and half full-time rentals, which means there are a vast amount of rules and regulations (i.e. cant be in the pool after 8pm, can't be on your own patio past 10pm, etc.) that are in place to ensure that the full-time renters are not bothered by weekend renters. While I understand the need to protect the peace and quiet of the full-timers, it also makes for a very uncomfortable and constricting experience for weekenders.

Great stay in Catalina

My wife and 2 kids (4 and 7) had a great stay. Nice view from the large balcony. The pool was much enjoyed. Great summer vacation spot.
