Beautiful Home, But Too Many Overlooked Issues

The house is pretty and in a peaceful area, but several issues impacted our stay. Outdoor dining was hard due to poor lighting. We tripped on loose pavers, spilling grease. The propane tank was 1/4 full, though we were told it would be full. The host replied the next day: “It seemed pretty full when I checked.” By then, we’d already bought a new one and our food had spoiled. Her later comment about hiring a paver cleaner felt excessive for a spill a degreaser could fix. On night one, my wife found a large roach in the bedroom and was uncomfortable all week. Roach traps were placed throughout, even near our child’s towels—clearly showing an ongoing issue. When we mentioned it, the host said she could’ve sent pest control. We explained spraying during a stay is unsafe—no reply followed. We asked about using the boat dock and were told yes, but arrived to find the nearby lock closed for construction. We had to pay marina fees. The water view was also blocked by cranes—none of this was disclosed. We asked about a cooler in advance and were told one was available, but found a moldy, broken tote and had to buy one. Pool maintenance was unannounced—we found a note on the ground dated the day before and likely swam after chemicals were added. Checkout was 10 a.m., but the host arrived at 9 and began cleaning while guests were still inside. We shared feedback respectfully, but the host’s response felt defensive. This guest became very angry when I requested he pay for a special cleaning to remove an excessive amount of grease that was spilled over a large portion of the patio and left this review as punishment. The grease spill covered approximately 40 square feet which warranted professional clean-up and was outside the scope of a normal house cleaning. Please take a look at all my past reviews for a better evaluation of the property and in particular the 5 star review I received just the week before this guest's stay.

Outdoor venue is outstanding. The house is large and comfortable.

There were no big surprises vs the VRBO info. Kitchen is very well equipped. Everything was done first class. Only issue were damaged screens in Lanai.

AMAZING VACATION SPOT!

Beth was great to work with. She met us at the house in pouring rain just to make sure to show us around to find everything. Pictures really don’t do the house Justice! It is amazing and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. She has chairs and cooler there you can use and take to the beach! Be sure to rent a boat! This was also FUN! This was our first trip to Cape Coral but we will be back!!!

Cape Coral at its best!

We were thrilled with this home! It was beautiful! The outdoor space is very large with a pretty view up the channel and a gorgeous pool. We spent nearly all of our time out there! I enjoyed the fact that at any given time of the day, you could choose sun or shade. The interior of the house was very pretty - light and airy decorating. The beds are super comfortable! And that kitchen!! What a dream. They have everything you could possibly need and it’s exceptionally organized. Check in and out was a breeze and Beth was accessible during the week. She was wonderful to work with. All in all, we loved it! We will be back!

Beautiful view and pool area

House has a large pool area with many seating options. Also a spectacular view and you can see tarpon rolling in the channel in the morning and evening. The house is beautiful and a perfect setup for one level living. Want to stay again on our next visit.

My family and I rented this beautiful house March 6 - 13, 2020. The house was clean, spacious, comfortable and has a fantastic view of the canal. The beds are new and very comfortable. Plenty of clean towels and all the amenities you need. The kitchen has high end appliances. The infinity pool and jacuzzi were great and you have the option to heat the pool and spa. (Just watch out for the extra charge of electricity if you do.) We had access to the garage which was nice so our vehicle was not sitting in the hot sun. It is located close to stores and restaurants. Eliz was very quick to respond when I had a question and I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.
