The view was very nice. Wrong time of year for a beach vacation for some but we enjoyed it tremendously. No crowds that was a plus. Overall a nice rest and relaxing vacation with great views.

Great location and nice condo

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. Loved the location and it was easy to walk to the not-crowded beach or bay. The condo was a great size for our family of two adults and two little kids.

Great location

Loved the proximity to fort Pickens area. Our favorite part of the island. The room was nice and just as pictured. Unobstructed view of the gulf was nice.

Steps from the Beach

With a short walk to either the bay or the gulf beach this property has a great location. Both beaches were not crowded which allowed you to have a semi-private beach experience. When not on the beach, you are only a short drive to shopping, entertainment and eating establishments.

Excellent location

At arrival late in the evening, we had some issues locating our parking spaces in the dark.. Very loud air condition equipment on balcony next door, cycling on and off all night, preventing us from sleeping in the master bedroom. Mold on the shower wall.

Too expensive for what is offered

The property is average. Some updating has been done but the master bath and the condo electrical (especially the receptacles) need to be updated. I have stayed in another unit in the complex that was bigger and much nicer for $$$ per night cheaper!! Both reservations were during peak season.

5 Star Pensacola Beach Time-Out

Excellent location away from the bridge but close enough to buy things forgotten. Steps away from either the ocean beach or the sound beach! Large pool and outdoor showers are a sweet bonus. Large deck with umbrella and dining furniture for sunrises and sunsets. The condo has a washer and dryer, iron, and vacuum for cleaning up; and a soaking tub! Kitchen has a toaster, blender, and microwave and all the day to day necessities. Cable tv and Bluetooth speakers, too! Friendly and helpful neighbors. Enjoyed myself so much I tried to book more days! 😊🌊☀️ Truly a home away from home!

Property not as advertised

We booked this unit in January 2023 for a stay at the end of March. Somewhere in between that timeframe, The La Bahia complex booked construction work including siding, railings and stairs. We were not notified of this. When we arrived, the property was littered with construction materials. Our deck was covered in screws, staples and sharp plastic. We contacted Southern Vacation rentals, the host, and they replied with sorry, it won’t happen again. They didn’t send anyone over to clean it up, they left us to clean it up ourselves. In the next few days, foundation work started directly under our unit including Jack hammering cement starting at 7am each morning. Again, when contacting our host Southern Vacation rentals, nothing was done. Finally, on day four of our vacation, we were having breakfast inside our rental and the walls started to rattle and we discover we weren't able to close our front door. The workers cut a main support beam under our unit which shifted our foundation enough to crack our door frame. This all happened while my family was inside the unit. This finally triggered a Southern employee to come to the unit to inspect. Upon arrival it was decided that our unit shouldn’t have been rented for the week and we were moved to a new property. Beware of renting from Southern Vacation rentals. In our situation, their customer service and care for my family’s safety was majorly lacking.

Will not stay here again

While I appreciate honest reviews and read them before I make a decision to stay somewhere, I never post reviews because I don’t consider myself picky or very critical. We have stayed in some places that have had minor issues and still don’t post bad reviews. I feel like I have to in this case. The listing stated that there might be some renovations going on in the month of April. We were aware of this. We were even willing to ignore the hammering on our condo wall at 730 in the morning bc we had plans of being at the beach most of the day anyway. What I cannot ignore, were the boards with nails sticking straight up right at the end of our stairway, the fact that our 2nd story patio was completely ripped apart and open on the last dayc without railings. The construction workers were just ripping boards out and throwing them down on the ground and leaving them there all day. Blocking walkways so I couldn’t even send my kids down to the pool when we were having lunch and relaxing in between the beach. On the first day, I sent a picture to the booking agency and they let me know that it was HOA‘s responsibility to take care of it and they would send my picture to them and try to get someone to clean it up. Within a couple hours, most of the boards were picked up, but there were still nails everywhere and they did the same thing the last two days. The railing was also left off on the patio on the backside the last night. Horrible experience.

Loved the quaintness of this condo - great that the bedrooms are located in the back so we didn’t need to worry about waking anyone in the early morning or at night. The listing is a little misleading though. The beach is close but not as close as it leads you to believe and could only see a small sliver if you stand on the stairwell. Other than that - it’s perfect! Quiet, clean, family friendly condo across the street from the dog beach and regular beach. Bay on the other side. Will def be back!

Disappointed

The property management was great. We had a problem with the master toilet and they were on it the next morning. They stayed in touch just to see if we needed anything. The property was sub-par for the price. No views, dogs on both sides of us and noisy. The whole building looked old and in need of updating. The second morning we came out to the deck to find dog poop under the table. The deck was shared with the condo next door with only a small fence between the two areas so no privacy at all. Never again.

Wonderful

The property is exactly as described. It was clean and the location is exactly what we were looking for. The beach was just a short walk away. My kids enjoyed seeing the dogs playing at the beach.

Pensacola beach stay

The lack of a door on one of the bedrooms was disastrous. All sounds from the living area & kitchen area were amplified from the style of the apartment and the first bedroom has NO door, a sheer curtain, but no way to quiet or darken the room.

Nice condo

Nice size. Comfortable for two people. The only thing I would suggest changing is the size of the bed in the master. It's a full size bed so 4 of the 5 nights we spent in separate beds. This wasnt a problem because there were two rooms, thankfully!

Late Jan. Week trip

Everything went smoothly. Really liked having the washer dryer and kitchen. We stayed during a very cold week and the first nite the furnace failed bit was promptly fixed and all went well thereafter. Would stay again. Very convient location and water on both sides.

Love it!

Everything was great! The pool is clean and right downstairs. The beach is a one minute walk from the room. The only thing that would make it better would be if it was dog friendly.
