We very much enjoyed our time staying at the Blue Conch! Great location with a Publix right down the street, plenty of restaurants close by, and short drives to numerous beaches. Chris was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation really special.Our family of 4 had plenty of space to spread out and we definitely plan a return trip there. Excellent Location

My family and I had a wonderful time in the Sarasota/Siesta Key area. This home was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do from going to the beach, fishing, shopping and dinning out. The house was nice and clean, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The guesthouse was too cute! The outdoor living area was perfect for the additional space it provided and the kids couldn’t get enough of swimming in the pool. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Perfect vacation home

We adored everything about this home. The location was fantastic! Walmart & Publix were just a few minutes away, along with many other stores. So many beaches to pick from, depending on how far you want to drive that day. All five of my children are already asking to book this home again. We even took a couple days to just hang around the house & enjoy the pool.

Wonderful Stay & Perfect for our Group

Great location, clean and spacious property with everything you need for a Florida holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the property is in a quiet location but still close to shops and amenities. There is a large lanai and pool area to chill out and the interior is tastefully furnished. Highly recommended!

This place is PERFECT!

We were allowed to check in early and check out late, which is pretty rare. The location of this house is near the beach and every store you could possibly need. The beds and the bedding were excellent. House was cleaned impeccably, and I am picky. The pool is much prettier in person than the pictures depict and there were plenty of toys to play with. Big TV’s in every room. The screen porch is amazing. If you are visiting Sarasota and need a place to stay, this is it. The owners were extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Great House/Great Host!

We had a great time at this VRBO and Chris was an amazing host. The house was perfect for us. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and the pool was a nice extra touch to the experience. We had a very relaxing vacation and the house contributed to this as an overall great experience.

My family and I stayed at this home for a week and I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was! The house is perfect! It has everything you need and is located in a great area, close to everything. The pool was amazing and very clean. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Sarasota.

Great Holiday in the sun.

Great property, spacious, clean and well equipped and in a very nice location central for all attractions in the area. Pool was fabulous and refreshing from the heat. Amazing Vacation

This house was big, clean, comfortable and amazing, the house had everything we needed and beyond, we enjoyed the pool and the rooms were big and clean. Chris was very nice and helpful when i was booking this house. The Family loved the house did not want to leave. We will definitely be back again next year!

Great place for a family getaway

We enjoyed staying here. It was conveniently located to the things we did. It was just a short drive to siesta key. It had plenty of room for a family of four. Our grown kids loved having their own rooms and we put the kitchen and grill to good use. We also appreciated the beach chairs and cooler that we used most days. The pool was nice but too cool to swim in during Dec/Jan. We would stay there again.

Fantastic vacation

A perfect vacation getaway in a lovely, immaculate home with a gracious host. Chris answered all emails swiftly and we needed nothing. Home is well equipped and in a great location to everything. We enjoyed the pool, and the yard was perfect for our Labrador to run around in. Coming back again next year!

Roomy and great location

My Mother and I stayed here to attend a graduation. We found it exactly what we needed for the two of us and her little chihuahua. It rained every day so the pool did not get used. I have to say that Chris was so responsive to any needs we had. The only suggestion I had was that maybe a heavier, non seethrough curtains or blinds and also that smoke detector needed to be replaced.. this place is in a quiet neighborhood but still close to shopping. Great space for a family to spread out in.

Fantastic!

We found this house when planning our first real family vacation in over 4 years. We couldn’t have been happier here! The house was great with a nice relaxed feel and plenty of room for our kids to run around. Chris was great from the start offering some toys and a crib for our youngest. His amazing communication never stopped through the whole trip and when we were faced with all day thunderstorms, Chris and his wife showed up with a DVD player and a selection of kids movies and books/puzzles. The only down side was my family didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this house to any family.

Book it!!!

My husband, two young children and I just got home from a fantastic week in Sarasota.The house is even better than the pictures. Each room is very large and there's a ton of room to spread out in the indoor and outdoor living areas. The screened in lanai /pool was wonderful for the evenings and with a fully fenced yard and beautiful trees, it was all very private. We could enjoy being "outside" without the bugs. What truly made this a fantastic experience for us, though, was the owner and property manager. Not only did they provide us with all of the baby necessities we needed (crib and highchair), but they even brought our kids some toys to play with while we were there! I can not say enough good things about this rental home. The location was perfect, walking distance to Publix, Walmart, Denny's, Walgreens and a short 10 minute drive to the beach and just 10 minutes to downtown - Siesta Key is paradise once again!

Not What We Initially Expected

The title reflects our initial impression of the property we rented in terms of location. When we sought a property in Sarasota, we were looking for a house close but not on the beach - either Lido or Siesta. A map showed many houses fitting that location, but in the process, we identified this unit that was further from beach than we had intended. However, once we were situated, we realized that accessibility to Siesta beach was not that difficult from this address. The pictures of the house adequately depicted the house and associated pool. We had three grandchildren with us ranging in ages from 11 to 14, and they enjoyed the pool very much. The pool is enclosed by a screened canopy that attached directly to the house. One issue I noted that is a potential problem is that when the children come from the pool into the house through a screened patio is that they leave a trail of wet foot prints, leading up two steps into the house, and when you step out of the house down two steps onto the wet floor there is the danger that you might slip and fall -- I did. It would be helpful if the floor in that pathway was either covered with an outdoor type carpet or else a slip proof carpet pad be placed by the steps to absorb the moisture and to provide a slip-proof surface to step down onto. The first night we were at the house, the AC shut down, probably due to the foot traffic out of and into the cooled living area because the sliding glass doors were inadvertently left ajar. I called the owner, and we were able to get the system running again, but he called his AC service rep and they came out the next morning and did some repairs on the system, and then it performed effectively after that with no other shut down issues. This is a 3 bedroom, two bath unit, and one bedroom is located at the opposite end of the house from the other two bedrooms - adjacent to the kitchen. That room was several degrees warmer than the other two bedrooms apparently due to the long run required to get cool air to that room. A small fan was provided to help cool that room and all bedrooms had ceiling fans for supplemental cooling. However, that room's temperature runs too warm for comfort during the hot summer months in Sarasota, so I would not rent this house a gain during that time of year. We enjoyed our stay at this house, once we worked through the initial issues described above.

The AC unit was certainly not your fault for leaving a door open (although it's important to ensure they are closed if the unit is running). It turns out there was a float switch that went bad. Awesome rental!

My husband, our grown son, his significant other and an 11 year old had a wonderful Christmas in this home! The weather was cold for Florida so we did not venture out much but shopping was really close so we cooked all our meals and just made memories! The pool is not heated so I was not expecting to be able to use it anyway. We had our fur babies with us and they enjoyed the fully fenced yard as much as the rest of their human family. The lanai was great too with a tv so on the warm days we took advantage. We are from Illinois and we missed a blizzard with temperatures -40 degrees so we were very happy to be in this cute little beach house for Christmas 2022!

Chris was an amazing host!! He was so attentive and quick to respond to any questions! His place was clean and neat! My husband and I absolutely loved staying at his place! My furbabies were also very comfortable! I can't say enough great things about our stay at Chriss home! Quiet neighbors, very spacious home, big lanai, beautiful pool, big master bedroom. Great house in a good neighborhood

Wonderful house. Has a screened in lanai which comes in really handy for kids, or to just get away from everyone else lol. Around the corner from that is a perfect screened pool. The house is very close to a grocery store. Very well maintained. Owner was very responsive. Will definitely stay here again
