My large family stayed at the Manse while we attended a nearby wedding. The lake is awsome - very clear, clean water. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch and playing ping pong. It was a perfect place for our family gathering.

This is a beautiful house, perfect for families of all sizes. The beautifully maintained lawns are great for kids and adults to play on. The house was very clean and the arrival and departure procedures very easy, and the hosts are very responsive.

My family loved the place. So much fun! The space is great. There’s plenty of room for everyone. The entry to the water was a little treacherous, but we had a blast. The host indicated that they will be working on a safer entry to the water next year.

Our stay was everything we imagined - the property itself is right off the road, but feels secluded and has tons of green space to enjoy. The house is a HUGE gorgeous old, rustic home that truly felt like it has been loved and appreciated by generations. The house comes incredibly stocked with dishes, cookware, and even most cooking essentials. We had a group of 15 and felt like there were more than enough rooms, beds, and bathrooms for everyone to exist comfortably--but be warned the walls are thin! The lake is a 7-10 minute walk downhill through the woods and the lakefront access is basically only just the dock and a bench, but our group had a great time hanging on the dock or in the lake, especially when we took advantage of the kayak/pool noodles that are in the boat house! Our favorite part of the entire home was the wrap-around porch lined with rocking chairs and a big dining table. We spent 75% of our time on that porch enjoying coffee in the morning, board games in the afternoon, and group dinners from the grill at night. Thank you to Hannah & Leah for the wonderful stay!

Family reunion.

We enjoyed a wonderful family gathering (10 adults and 8 children) at Monadnock Manse. Perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company. Room for 10 young children to run, play and everyone enjoyed swimming down at the lake. Definitely hope to make a return trip

Family Reunion

Great place for a family reunion, as this was our second time visiting it felt like home. Love the area, the lake and the wrap around front porch. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our surroundings.

Family Retreat

This was our fourth time visiting and we absolutely love it. Perfect getaway with views of monadnock, a few lovely steps to Silver lake, and the cozy New England cottage vibe offer a true feeling of being at home away from home. Hope we see you next year!

Good place to stay with lots of outdoor activities nearby

Nice place with big rooms and enough place to sleep. Friendly and welcoming owners. They have kayak and canoe at their lake. We were little late during check out but they were accommodating and helpful. Will be back again!

A great place for a family gathering.

This was our third summer - once again we enjoyed ourselves- swimming, porch sitting, hiking, cooking, eating, biking, croquet on the lawn. We visited the yarn shop in Harrisville and went a second time to the Caterpillar Lab. All in all it’s a great place to be.

Famiky reunion

We always love visiting Silver Lake and The Manse is large enough to accommodate our group under one roof. The front porch is our favorite spot with a beautiful view of both the lake and the mountain. The kitchen is well equipped to feed large groups and plenty of space for dining inside and out. We’ve stayed here multiple times and have great memories!

Family getaway

We were looking for a place to decompress and this was it. Solitude, a cottage vibe and beauty abound here. The porch was the ideal hangout place for morning coffee, lunch after a dip and fishing at the lake (nothing like a NH lake-clear to the bottom) and cocktail hour. We would return in a heartbeat.

Fabulous property in wonderful setting above beautiful Silver Lake in lovely Harrisville. 18 of us, 4 children and spouses and 8 grandchildren celebrating my wife’s 70th. Perfect!
