Spectacular 3 bedroom 2 bath gulf front condo! Located in Crystal Beach East Destin along scenic gulf drive) this fifth level condo offers superb gulf views and great amenities! The building has a large community pool and hot tub as well as a grilling area. Crystal Beach has numerous shops and restaurants you can walk to or just drive one mile north to the Destin Commons for all the shopping and dining you will ever need! The Destin Commons has a Bass Pro Shop in case dad forgot his fishing gear and an AMC Theatre (14 cinemas!) just in case you get a little sun burnt and need indoor activities!

Spacious living room with queen sleeper sofa, upscale furnishings, and great gulf views! Large open kitchen and dining area with gulf views and plenty of seating!

All One Level: Living Room with Queen Sleeper Sofa and Balcony Access, Kitchen, Dining, King Master Bedroom with Walk-In Shower and Soaking Tub, Queen Bedroom with Shared Tub/Shower Combo, Bunk Room with Two Twin Bunks, Laundry.

Elevator Replacement Notice: Please note that Emerald Dunes will be replacing the building’s only elevator, which will be out of service for approximately 3–5 weeks. The project is expected to begin in mid-January with completion by March 1, 2026. Guests staying during this period will need to use stairs for all floor access. We appreciate your understanding as this important improvement is completed. Discounted rates are reflected during the project period.

*Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated during Thanksgiving week and March through April.

We had a very nice time . We enjoyed the condo and everything was convenient and clean . We also liked the fact that you didn’t have to walk very far to get to the water as well . It was very close .

Amazing location

We had an amazing time. We were so happy with the location's access to the beach and also having so many restaurants and shops nearby. Communication from the manager was great and the whole process was super easy. I would definitely recommend this condo and we look forward to booking it again for next year.

We Loved the place & area

Emerald dunes is a great place to stay and plenty of room for the Family. Our only issue was the beds. We found them to be just a tad uncomfortable - that’s the only issue but will still plan to stay there again!

Absolutely Wonderful - Great Value!

This unit and property were outstanding. Our room looked out over the gulf and we spent lots of time on the balcony or walking the beach. The unit is tastefully decorated and furnishings were top notch. We hope to stay here again. Thanks so much!

Lovely, clean, nicely appointed unit with an amazing view of the gulf. Small gated(guaranteed parking) community just steps from the beach. Private beach with chair and umbrella rental available.

Favorite Destin Condo

My family and I have vacationing in the Destin area for many years. This has to be our favorite. We had enough space for 7 people. My parents were comfortable. Very important. The view was just amazing at any time of the day. The best part was the beach for this building is roped off for visitors the building. That us more space to enjoy the gulf. My family has already asked me to book for next summer.

Emerald Dunes 503 Experience Summer 22

The beach, view, beds, living space, parking, amenities, location, maintenance staff & check in/ check for Emerald Dunes were top notch. We look forward to returning! However, the condo restrooms are in need of repair as well as a much better supply of pots, pans & forks.

Bathrooms

The living area was fabulous!!! The beds were awful. There wasn’t any extra blankets. Master bathroom is in desperate need of a remodel, shower tile is disgusting, toilet barely flushed and water barley came out of faucets. Also you can hear the neighbors above very well.

Only problem

The only thing that was wrong is that there were not enough forks! Had to wash the 5 and there were 6 of us. Also I loaded the dishwasher and put soap in it but can’t remember if I started it 🤔 honestly will stay here again!

Beautiful! Everything was as stated. We had 5 adults and 3 children; plenty of room. Bunk beds were cute. If your kids aren’t used to them; you might want to get regular bed. The view was fantastic and the water was green and clean. I don’t normally get in the water but this was so beautiful; I couldn’t resist. The only thing I would suggest for the people that haven’t been to Destin; eat takeout and go to grocery store next day. If you go on Saturday; you can not get up and down the aisles. Also get bagged ice for coolers.

When we arrived, there was sand and debris on the floors and hair in the bathroom floors, but overall it was ok. The exterior of the property was well kept and cleaned daily. The condo was ok, but I felt a bit over priced for it's condition. The bedroom with the bunk beds was hot because their is no air return with the sliding door closed. The unit has a great view and the layout is fine. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on, and the master bedroom is spacious. I would stay here again, but I would take my own towels, the in house towels are very abrasive. Overall, it was a nice place that was quiet, excellent location, great view, friendly staff both on property and on the phone. We had no problems or really complaints, just a couple of things that could have been a bit better, but I think that is everywhere.

The property is very nice. Great location and decorated beautifully.

There were minor issues as with most rental properties. Broken clock in living room by sliding door. Wet repair work in master bath. Too many remote controls to try to operate tv’s. Note on thermostat requesting a temperature of 72!? Really? If you pay $2400.00 for one week I think turning it down to 68 to sleep is reasonable. The one thing that put a huge damper on the vacation was the 8:30 am construction to an upstairs unit! I realize things need to be fixed but interrupting someone’s sleep during their vacation was really unfortunate.

Bring extra washcloths!!!! Someone stated that there were only 5 forks during their stay. We should have brought some because there were only two when we arrived. The condo was nice but housekeeping was lacking as there were dirty cooking sheets and a skillet in the oven and dirty hand towels under one of the sinks. We also didn’t gain access to the property until 4pm sharp and had to wait with family in another condo because the floors were still wet. (We met housekeeping as we were punching our code in and she was mopping herself out the door) Otherwise, the property was nice. Oh, Bring a mattress pad if you don’t like firm mattresses. The master bed was nearly impossible to sleep on and the center is raised so me and my s/o rolled opposite directions. We actually slept with our heads at the footboards to get out of the holes on either side.

Required app is a hassle and delayed entry by hours; poor service to fix the issue

Very frustrating experience and poor value. The app required to access the room is a time-suck and even after doing all that it required before the trip failed to get us access because the code for entry hadn’t been updated in 2 months! No one answered a 6pm Wednesday call or the next 5 that I made. HomeAway was eventually able to find a live person who made a bunch of excuses and then had to find someone else before we could get the gate code to get to the condo, hours after we arrived. The condo was undergoing extensive repairs to the exterior and nothing on the website or app admitted that. We had no balcony access, a big 2x4 across the view to keep us off the balcony, and the balcony furniture crammed into the already full living room. Then we woke to someone on the 5th floor balcony 2 mornings later, just sitting there painting and trying not to stare into the condo through open shutters. Who would expect to need to shut blinds/shuttters on an ocean front, 5th floor when we had paid so much for the view? Annoying stuff added to the terrible experience: poor water pressure made showers uncomfortable, ice maker didn’t work, couches are old, eye-wateringly ugly and uncomfortable. All told, it sucked and the management company Ocean Reef made it so much worse. Not recommended!!

Disappointed with our second stay in this condo.

We stayed in the exact condo one year ago and had a great experience. This time it was different. Power to the master bedroom kept going out. Breaker was in a locked room so we couldn’t access it. Found out second day that the frig/freezer was not staying cold and had to throw out food we had just purchased for the week. Had to call property management repeatedly to get someone out. Spend time we had planned for activities, waiting for hours day after day for issues to be addressed. Was brought a loaner frig that was beat up, dented, and rusty. Found out there had been water damage to the unit in the off season that was causing the electrical problems. There was actually water in the ceiling light fixtures causing the issues. We were worried about electrical fire. So although we love the location of the property and our previous experience, we would not recommend this property to anyone. Property management argued that workers had been to the unit when they had not, our safety was not a priority, and we spent much of our vacation time trying to get these issues fixed that should have been taken care of before the unit was allowed to be rented. Property management did reimburse for 10% of the stay but that does not even cover one night in the condo. No compensation was ever offered to us, we had to request it.

Everything We Needed For the Week

Okay, so we have stayed on the 6th floor of Emerald Dunes before in another property and we paid a lot more to stay there. That property had 2 floors and held up to 13 people I believe. For the price difference, I would definitely choose this property over that one again, if I didn’t need as much space. An honest review: does it need updating? Some things do, but when you look out at that ocean view every day, that is not what is on your mind! I don’t know what their summer rates are but the week we stayed we paid $134 a night (first week of NOV) and I felt that was a great rate, however keep in mind, there is no chair service at that time so your on your own there. BYOC or sit on a blanket! The good: the master bedroom Views are breathtaking!! Seriously! The balcony views are amazing! There is a spa wirpool tub. There are 2 bathrooms and the one in the hall also has bedroom access. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the things you need, but maybe overstocked with so many coffee pots I was a little overwhelmed. There is a great stackable washer/dryer combo in the closet. There seems to be updated granite in the kitchen. The bad: there are a few items that need to be updated throughout but again I wouldn’t let this detract me from renting. I would consider it in the price being asked. A knob on the tub was broken, a handle on the wall was falling off, the master toilet doesn’t flush well, the floor has some creaky spots and be prepared when you come with toiletries and supplies. You need your own TP, paper towels, garbage bags, everything for your week there. There is nothing there for you but ice in the ice maker. They give you one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and I think with only two of us there we managed to only use each of those for the week (so I know for sure now it is my kids using all the TP at home!) We had one issue on our last day. We were going to check out at 10am but at 9am we got locked out. I think it was because of the daylight savings time changes. I let the management know though. Hopefully they follow up. We also had some neighbors who smoked so much weed one night it infiltrated our room but we never knew who or where it was coming from. ‘Come on guys if you’re staying in a condo realize that stuff goes through walls and duct work. Not all of us enjoy the smell.

Great views!

Great views from the balcony. Great location. Would have given a 5 all around but the building was a little dated and the elevator had a couple of issues. The bunk room was very small so it would be best for kids only and not adults. Will stay here again!
