Esta nueva casa de 2 dormitorios (más una sala de futón), casa de 2. 5 baños ubicada cerca de la Bahía de Kanaka, es una escapada perfecta para relajarse y rejuvenecer en la isla de San Juan.

Esta encantadora casa cuenta con una cocina completamente equipada, dos terrazas al aire libre y un césped de 0. 25 acres. Una barbacoa de gas está disponible para cocinar las ostras de Westcott Bay mientras observa la puesta de sol desde esta casa con orientación oeste. Disfrute de la hermosa vista con su taza de café por la mañana, y posiblemente vea algunas ballenas desde el porche privado del dormitorio principal.

San Juan Island

My sister and our husbands had a wonderful vacation in the Kanaka Bay Cottage. The location was perfect - 15 minutes from everything we wanted to explore and in 5 days we did and saw everything that we had hoped to. The house was absolutely charming and immaculate. It was so cozy and comfortable. We would stay again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a great vacation!

Great House, Area, and Stay!

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the area was private and quiet. While the yard looks quite a bit bigger in the listing photos than it actually is, there was still plenty of space for my daughter to run around. There was some pretty serious roadwork being done so it took a little longer to get to/from Friday Harbor, but without that it would have been a quick drive. We didn't need to contact the property manager, but they proactively contacted us to let us know we could check-in early. You can tell they pay attention to detail, as they even supplied two propane tanks for the grill. I would stay here again and highly recommend that you do as well!

Great house with well-stocked kitchen, comfortable rooms and nice back yard for game playing. The location was great, but a little far down a dirt road, other than that, perfect weekend getaway!

With young kids and being light quite late we would recommend some blinds or blackout curtains for at least one of the bedrooms. We were awoken one night by a mouse or rat running in the walls but other than that it was a great place!

It's about a 15min drive to the countryside from the busy Friday Harbor and a very nice secluded location. There are plenty of wild flowers all around the house, something we really enjoyed. This is an ideal place to relax and unwind. The house was very clean and had pretty much everything we needed for our stay.

The property is secluded and surrounded by greenery with plenty of windows to bring in the natural light and enjoy the scenery. The house was very clean and well stocked and the beds were comfortable (supportive and soft!). An outdoor hammock would have been incredible to enjoy the sun, breeze, and gentle sounds of nature here.

Beautiful Remote Vacation house

Great house to stay at with family. Private lush backyard, great for running around and sitting on deck in the sunshine. Fully stocked kitchen with olive oil and spices, every utensil you could need. Perfect space for family with two bedrooms with en suites, and then an alcove with full bed, nearby where my daughter slept. The only thing was no window coverings in alcove and only light filtering shades in bedrooms, so if you’re used to blackout shades, you or your children might be awake at the crack of dawn. :-D Ideal location- 15 mins from Friday harbor, 15 mins from Lime kiln, where we attended a wedding, and maybe 20 mins to roche harbor.

Wedding Weekend

We had a nice stay with family, as it’s always good to be with family. The property was cute and quiet towards the end of a very long (couple mile) dirt road.I’ve never left a drab review for a vacation stay as I’ve been in real estate for 30 years and understand that homes come with unique characteristics. But this property was a bit pricey with a 500 host fee so I felt that it should have been a bit nicer. The property listing featured a king bed. However the king bed was not a king, but two twins pushed together, and our feet hung off the end which made for less than comfortable rest.The fan for the stove didn’t work so when we cooked we’d have to open doors to air out the home, which invited mosquitoes to join in. ;) Many of the blinds don’t function properly so when trying to open windows, it is a bit of a complexity that required two people.Then there was a note on the refrigerator and large bottles of water offered on the counter as hosts shared there was a problem with the water system/drinking water, which made us worried about the safety of the water. I feel if we would have known prior, we would have opted for another home.Also, prior to our stay, we reached out about the ability for a late check out since we were attending an evening wedding, The host offered no response. We went ahead and booked, and after our booking the 1 hour late departure was declined.We enjoyed our stay on Friday Harbor but would have chosen a different property to rent.

We are disappointed to hear you did not enjoy your time at the Kanaka Bay Cottage. We strive to provide a relaxing stay for our guests and accurately portray the property. The ‘host fee’ is comprised of the cleaning fee, damage waiver, and Affordable Housing Fund, as is shown prior to booking. The bed you refer to is a King-sized bed. We wish we’d had the opportunity to assist you with the kitchen vent fan and the blinds; we have property managers on-call 24 hours a day. The water at this home is drinkable, but as the note states inside the home, the homeowner just prefers to provide drinking water for the comfort of their guests. For future, we would be more than happy to assist in finding a rental home that is more suited to your needs.

We can’t wait to go back and stay longer!
