It also boasts a great size living area with wonderful views across the Minster Gardens, a high table and stool have been thoughtfully placed by the window, just ready for you to while away the hours with a glass of wine or cup of coffee, prepared in the beautifully equipped kitchen.

Fantastic holiday home

This is our 2nd stay at this fantastic apartment, close to the town centre and just up from the River Ouse. Secure parking is excellent as is the general security of the apartments.

Great apartment apartment from shower

Lovely apartment in very central position, only complaint was the shower was broken and only got cool water and not much pressure, could not override the temperature bit as it was broken, obviously not just happened. The towel rail did not work as was taped up on plug switch, damp towels and cool shower not good, if these were all fixed would stay again, the apartment itself was lovely

Excellent property.

Ideally located for easy access to the wonderful City of York and its highlights. Straightforward instructions in relation to check in and check out (would be nice to have a little longer than 10am). Very comfortable, modern and clean. Close to the train station. Very nice free welcome bag of York goodies, touch of class!

Another lovely stay in this accomodation.. We are repeat guests here and will no doubt be visiting again....lovely place and in an ideal central location for many of Yorks sights and attractions also a real bonus having secure off street parking....would highly recommend this accomodation

Super Apartment!

Fantastic location and a very comfortable, clean and well thought out apartment. We stayed in Bootham House for 7nights for our trip to lovely York and were extremely happy with the accommodation. Apartment 11 was clean, well equipped and had everything we needed. Although on a busy road, the bedroom is at the back which meant no issues with sleeping. Lovely to wake-up on the Sunday morning to the church bells. All communication with Stays York was excellent and seamless for key collection and arrival information. We were extremely pleased with the fabulous welcome hamper - thank you!. Definitely no hesitation to book here again when we return to York. The only negative we do have, is that the shower water pressure is very poor - perhaps due to the very heavy build-up of limescale on the shower head?? It isn't a deal breaker but it is an area that needs addressing. We look forward to coming back...

Great stay in great location

The pictures do not do this place justice - it is much larger and roomier than it looks. The private parking, the lift, and the location were all must haves for us, and those features did not disappoint. They did an amazing job restoring this older building. The location is close to everything, yet very private. I would definitely stay here again.

Second stay at Apartment 11, Bootham House

We returned after a stay here earlier in the summer. Such a great apartment and wonderful location, so close to the city centre. We loved the furnishings, space and separate kitchen - plus the on site gated parking. The lovely welcome pack from Stays york was much appreciated. It was a little warm in the apartment during our stay, as it is built into the roof. Blinds on the side windows would have been handy so reduce the warmth and glare of the sun at certain times of the day. The mattress is very comfortable, but is made of foam which made it a bit too warm for us. It will probably be fine when the temperatures drop. That said, there are tower fans in the apartment. I’m sure we’ll be coming back for a winter stay.

Great apartment and location

Great apartment in one of the best locations in York, just a few minutes from Museum Gardens and the Minster. Parking was a bonus. When I saw the photos I was a little concerned about the room sizes/ceiling heights in this top floor apartment, but it was spacious and airy. We just missed a couple of days of high temperatures, and as there are several unshaded skylights (there is a blind on the one in the bedroom) it gets a lot of sun. It was fine when we visited though, and there are a couple of tower fans if needed. Lots of storage, well equipped and very comfortable. The views of the rooftops on Bootham through one window and Museum Gardens on the other were lovely. Great to have a separate good sized kitchen, as so often in holiday lets there is only one combined living space. We loved our stay here and would be happy to return.

Lovely location

We had a lovely time, the flat was very nice. Only comments are the showerhead is covered in limescale & the door doesn't shut properly in it. Also a few updated utensils and baking equipment would be useful! But thank you, the location was perfect for what we wanted.

Smashing apartment

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The communal areas are well maintained and the lift was a real bonus as the apartment was on the top floor. The allocated parking is a deal breaker for us and the secure car park is a bonus.

Great appartment in a great location

We stayed in appartment 11 for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The appartment is located in a quiet building with secure access. Secure & reserved parking was a bonus but the parking area was slightly tight - no huge problem. The appartment was well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. It's bigger than it appears in the photos. It's located 5mins from York Minster which is surrounded by lots of lovely restaurants (Lucia & Cut and Craft were our favourites). Everywhere in York is within walking distance as the city centre is small. We didn't make use of the kitchen or need to call customer service at any point as we didn't have any problems. The only constructive criticism I could offer would be the shower head in the bathroom could be replaced (it's not dirty but the paint is badly chipped so it looks dirty) also couple of touch ups to paintwork and ceilings - this is really nit picking. The mirror in the dressing area also needs to be lowered - it would be a great spot to do hair & makeup but it's height makes it impossible to sit and see in the mirror (silly easily fixed design flaw). We had a great stay and would definitely stay again if we return to York!

Perfect location, immaculate accommodation & the a bonus of on site gated parking

This accommodation has everything you require for a perfect City Break in York. 250m from the walls of York, 500m to York Minister, the Shambles and city centre. A variety of pubs and restaurants within the same range. The accommodation is outstanding. Modern in design, immaculately clean with every facility included; washing machine, dish washer and freezer. Beautiful bathroom with walk in rain shower. A beautiful welcome gift of Yorkshire goodies was a lovely touch. I’ve read a couple of negatives in previous reviews that didn’t affect us at all. Yes the property is on a busy road but we were never aware of traffic noise unless we looked or opened the window to the street. Another review said the property was too hot. The property has an excellent “ Hive system” and at the turn of a switch you have instant control. Two final comments. Stays York office is 250m from the property and open daily if you have any issues. If travelling by car, the property must have the most secure on site parking in York. It’s gated and controlled by a code pad. All instructions for your stay emailed in advance and easy to follow. Lift from ground floor to our apartment another bonus. This property I would recommended 100% to anyone wanting to visit the lovely city of York. Certainly spoilt us and we won’t be staying anywhere else on a repeat visit.

Simply perfect!

The second I walked into this property I knew i had made a good decision to book it. It is immaculately clean and has absolutely everything you need for a pleasant visit. Take time to find out about the window opening devices to keep daytime temperatures down in the flat. The location is just about as perfect as you can get, right on the doorstep of the town through the city wall gate. Check in and out was simple and instructions given were clear to follow. A slight point of note is that there is some noticeable traffic noise throughout the night but not unbearable. Would I stay here again? I will be staying here again for certain! York is a beautiful city, the apartment is perfect. Thank you

Idea location for the city - modern and comfortable

This apartment is in a large old house on Bootham - done up to a very high standard with a lift. The apartment was excellent, with everything looking pretty new. Comfortable bed. Good rain shower.

Beautiful apartment in a central location

The apartment was just as the photos - stylishly furnished and well equipped. It has a dedicated parking space (though it's quite tight to get to if you had a large vehicle) and is a short walk to the centre of York. We really appreciated being able to relax at the apartment after a busy day, watching a film on Netflix, having a drink or cooking dinner, before going out again in the evening.
