Nueva casa de vacaciones en la comunidad Shorebirds de Pajaro Dunes Resort. Condominio de 3 dormitorios en el último piso con encanto rústico y todas las comodidades del hogar, a solo unos pasos de la playa. ¡Hay una pantalla plana de 42 pulgadas en la sala de estar! Barbacoa de propano en la cubierta exterior para asar. Nuestra casa tiene ropa de cama cómoda: en nuestra habitación principal, suite king con vista al océano de la Bahía de Monterey. Nuestra habitación de invitados tiene una cama Queen size con techos abovedados altos y la tercera habitación es la habitación de los niños con 2 juegos de literas: la habitación de los niños tiene un pequeño televisor con reproductor de VHS para ver una película de Disney favorita por la noche, después de un largo rato día en la playa! (Nuestra empresa de administración de propiedades, Pajaro Dunes Resort tiene préstamos VHS y DVD para pedir prestados, solo pregúntele al equipo de recepción cuando se registre).

Relaxing family stay

Great family vacation. It was a central location to Montery and Santa Cruz. Comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen to cook in. We will be returning!

A lovely stay for 7 people. It seems the unit has been renovated since the listing photos and feels very spacious. Updated cafe appliances and ample seating to gather. No odd smells, clean and fluffy towels, and all the kitchen utensils/plates were in great/new condition. A nice view of the ocean and easy walk down to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Great unit beautiful site.

Pájaro Dunes is a beautiful place and the units are quite nice. Signage and exterior lighting could use an upgrade but we very much enjoyed our stay.

Calming beach getaway

My family enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the beach, including a beach bonfire/s’mores night that the concierge set up and arranged. There was ample space for the 7 of us, with more than enough bedding and towels for our use.

Overall this place offered a decent stay. Downsides were the lack of amenities, ants in residence and a broken washing machine.

We did offer to have our maintenance team take a look at the washing machine but understood you did not want them to since it was your last day there. Our amenities include tennis, pickle ball, and basket ball courts which is a lot of family fun. Another great location!

We really enjoyed all the anemities of our condo. Fit our group of 6 well. Was an easy check in process and there are plenty of things to borrow to use at the beach. We enjoy the private beach. It's always clean and quiet here.

October vacation

I stayed at Pajaro Dunes with 5 members of my family. There was plenty of space for all. View and location to the beach was great. I do think the condo needs a bit of updating

Wonderful location

The location was very nice. The unit we stayed in had a well stocked kitchen. We were disappointed by the stained carpet and the lack of shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. We've stayed in many nice places, for the price of our stay, we expected more. It's the little things that add to the experience of the stay.

Good experience but very expensive

The property was good-sized and worked for our party (me, my 2 daughters, and my mother and father-in-law). The property is a bit dated but overall was clean and comfortable. Very good location. VERY expensive.

Enjoyable Stay

Our family enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The location of Pajaro Dunes is perfect - it’s easy to get to both Santa Cruz and Monterey. I think the only issue we had was that the oven door didn’t close properly and that affected any cooking we did there. If I was assured that it was repaired, I would absolutely stay in this unit again.

Comfortable and cozy get away

Overall we were very pleased with this rental. Through the years we have rented many properties from houses to condominiums. This one was well appointed with linens and furnishings. It had plenty of space to play games, have a family supper or sit on the balcony and listen to the ocean. We would definitely consider this rental for a return trip.

Family Birthday

We've been coming to Pajaro Dunes for over 35 yrs. It is a very special place for our family. The unit was very clean and met all of our needs, the property management staff went above and beyond to answers all our questions and make us so welcome. We were even able to extend our stay, thanks to their efforts. Very, very happy with the total experience.

Good for young children

The condo worked well for our family. It was fully equipped. The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet. Access to the beach was easy. The carpeting could use a deep cleaning… the windows need washing…but everything else was fine.

Very nice condo. Kitchen well-appointed, although a few missing items (laundry detergent), and things like barely any salt/pepper. Could also use some Tupperware type containers for leftovers, and/or aluminum foil. Overall great! Perfect for 7 people.

Great place for family to unwind

We stayed here with our daughter and her family for 3 days during the week. It was peaceful and very low key. The location is central to Santa Cruz as well as Monterey. The condo was well stocked with kitchen accessories and plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Plenty of hot water for the many, many showers required by teenage girls :-) The direct beach access was by far the favorite part of our stay. In fact, the beach itself was pristine and almost deserted..it truly felt like our own private beach. It was a relaxing trip and we will be back!

Wonderful property and vacation spot!

Loved staying at this property - what an amazing view from the living area deck and gorgeous beach! The condo was clean and well appointed with room for everyone in our party. We stayed there with two families and the kids loved the bunk room. The master suite and guest master are well decorated -- love the wood accent wall in the master bedroom. The kitchen had all the essentials and living spaces felt warm and inviting. The best part, of course, is the view and easy access to the huge beach. All of us enjoyed our time in the sand as well as the many walks we did around the pond (throwing rocks, feeding the ducks, etc.). Highly recommend this condo!

Summer 2023

We liked it a lot.. but, also it wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I loved the solitude, the beach. Everyone was so friendly. The condo was well stocked with anything you may need, but it was more dated inside than I realized. This place would be absolutely perfect with a small refresher/facelift.

Great location but just okay value

The photos made this place appear to be fresh and remodeled. Some parts were nice (the bathrooms) but the rest of the place was pretty run down. For the price we paid, it would have been nice to have some things updated, like the blinds, fridge and coffee maker. Overall, we had a great time and the staff at Pajaro Dunes are friendly and helpful. But for the price we paid, I would say this was just okay value.

We stayed here with my parents as well as our young children and there was plenty of room for everyone. Nice open floor plan, one of the larger condos. Well stocked with everything you could need and very comfortable. Well it is a nice unit and more modern than some of the others I’ve stayed at as well, we were a little bummed how far away it is from the ocean. It is definitely on the farther end of the building. Our friends stayed at a unit that was essentially oceanfront, and they could hear the ocean and waves crashing at night. We were a little bit jealous, is that was definitely not our experience in this particular unit. That said, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone!

Fun but not "Brand New"

We had a great weekend at this location. Amazing access to a wide open beach. The kids loved the ocean. The kids' room had a TV with VHS player and movies. They got a kick out of that. My only complaint is that the listing says "brand new." I was disappointed when we walked through the door. The other adults in our party were not surprised based on the pictures. Their first impression was better than mine. The condo was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. The front office staff and gate attendants were really friendly.

We do apologize for the confusion on the use of "brand new", our condo is new as a vacation rental and has many premium qualities but we understand how that could cause confusion. Not so hot....

While the resort property is located in a beautiful area, the unit itself was very outdated and had several technical issues: the TV didn't work, the landline didn't work, only the community unprotected WiFi worked which prevented us from doing any work nor connecting to our baby monitor. We called several times with no resolution. The 'gas grill' is more like a bad camping stove that was so dirty we didn't want to put any food on it. For the price of the stay, we expected higher quality.

We appreciate your notes, Elise! We discovered that the home’s wifi has two separate connections – one for the smart TV and another for internet. We are placing instructions in the home for easy log ins so that future guests will not encounter this challenge. I see that our tech did visit twice, but we did not have adequate info on this new dual system. We apologize for the inconvenience.
