We stayed at the Pajaro Dunes Resort five years ago with our children. We had a great time and said we would be back. Being close to the water was nice. The condo and the beach were both clean and quiet. We will be back.

Such a cute place

The place was great! Nice and clean and close to the beach. The only thing that could be updated was the tv as we had to get a portable dvd player cause the one built into tv didn’t work. Otherwise everything was really nice and comfortable.

The condo was great, we enjoyed ourselves and the layout of the space. I would suggest placing curtains or blinds on the window behind the couch. The lack of privacy from the outdoors and neighbors was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that it was a nice stay.

The condo does face a protected sand dune, which is not accessible to neighbors or the public, but I can understand how it may feel a bit more open than expected. We have been to Pajaro before numerous times as family. The beach was not as clean as it typically is and Monday early morning. There was a person sleeping on the beach when I went out there. The security guard said he was just waiting for his friends to pick him up. The man was obviously under the influence and eventually left on his own.

Great home base

Very clean and safe. Fast access to amazing beach. Excellent accommodations. Basic cooking utensils, salt, pepper, mayo, olive oil etc. May want to bring some zip lock bags, there were none. There were no beach chairs, but you could rent them for 15 at the guest desk. There were pickleball paddles in the condo (courts on site). The pond on property had a nice walking path. We are birders so there was always something to see. Glxondo was a manageable distance from Santa Cruz and Monterey, which we visited daily. The little patio received sun all day, which was lovely. All in all, a great stay, we would stay here again.

We appreciated that the unit had been updated. We found the beds and the chairs in the living room to be very uncomfortable. Apparently this area is very foggy and gloomy in July and there wasn’t much to do because it was also very cold. One thing that the owners could’ve done was provide a better TV in a better location in the room it’s sort of stuck in a corner where it’s difficult to watch. I was very happy with how quiet it was. There is nothing to do in this area for miles so unless you want a very quiet, secluded vacation, I would not recommend this property.

The TV is set on a pull-out platform to allow guests to adjust it for easier viewing—though we’ll definitely take another look at its placement based on your comment. As for the location, it’s truly a hidden gem—tucked away from the hustle and bustle with minimal light pollution and cool, misty summers that many of our regular guests specifically seek out to escape the triple-digit inland heat. It’s an ideal spot for a tranquil coastal retreat, but we understand it may not be the right fit for everyone. Thank you again for staying with us and sharing your thoughts.

Father’s day getaway

it was nice and quiet stay and the house was nicely furnished it took us awhile to locate the tv which is older so we did watch much and we really wished it had a bbq. You mainly have a view of the dunes not the beach really but it’s around the corner. bed was comfortable but it was to high for me i’m short so i slept on couch also comfortable. we had a shortage of wash clothes fou the four of their was only two .Other than that it was nice and easy to rent
