Acabamos de completar una renovación total de este histórico dúplex ubicado en el tranquilo vecindario residencial de Mission Hills. Relájese en el hermoso porche delantero y vea pasar el mundo. Camine unas pocas cuadras hasta los nuevos restaurantes y cafeterías más modernos. Casa Montecito está en la ubicación ideal para explorar San Diego y todo lo que tiene para ofrecer. La cocina del chef es un maravilloso lugar de reunión para amigos y familiares, con todos los electrodomésticos y muebles nuevos. El patio privado tiene una barbacoa para su uso. El dormitorio principal ofrece un colchón King Serta I-comfort. Ropa de cama y ropa de cama de lujo son una delicia después de un día ajetreado. Great location. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The property was cozy with everything you need. Close to coffee shops and great dinner spots. Highly recommend!

The home was very attractively appointed. Beautiful furnishings and otherwise well stocked, clean, etc. The neighborhood too was beautiful and located such that we had ready access to the various parts of town that were part of our visit. The property is everything the host suggests and more. Should we visit the area again we will come back. Thank You

Robert’s home was absolutely beautiful. It was exactly what we needed. The bathrooms were nicely updated. The oversized tub was awesome for our kids. If you do have small children, it is on the second floor. There is a large staircase with a wide opening. We put suitcases in front of it in the middle of the night as we had our kids stay in the bedroom next to the stairs. It was not a problem, but our kids are very good with stairs (just an FYI). The kitchen was nicely updated & had everything we needed. The home was super clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. The air conditioning works super well. More than enough extra blankets and pillows, cozy couches, the pack n play provided saves us money and time, it was super convenient to have it there already. We will definitely look to rent this place next time we’re in San Diego.

Gorgeous property and quiet neighborhood. All new inside and immaculately clean and charming. Briefly met the owner who took time to meet our family and congratulate our grandson on his Marine boot camp graduation. Not sure if it was outlined in the property description and might be my error but the property is upstairs on the 2nd floor. Not an issue for us but if someone has mobility issues it might be worth noting. This place was far better than any hotel I could’ve booked.

San Diego 2025

The unit takes up the entire second floor of a beautifully renovated historic home. Furnishings are excellent. The bed in the master bedroom is really comfortable, and with cross breezes no a/c is needed. The Mission Hills neighborhood is very quiet, yet centrally located to everything San Diego has to offer. Although the unit is in a residential area, it is within walking distance to several shops, restaurants, etc. The host is very nice and made us feel warmly welcomed.

Beautiful, peaceful accommodations

This is the second time we have stayed here. This is definitely a pride of ownership VRBO. The accommodations are thoughtful, beautiful and comfortable. I feel like it is a home away from home. I look forward to coming back and relaxing again. There is a lovely breeze that flows through the entire space and the space is conducive to reading and relaxing. It is also close to some great restaurants and sight-seeing. Love it here

Very much enjoyed the open concept design of the living area with lots of windows. Quality furniture and decor. Lovely to walk through the neighborhood and see the interesting houses and landscaping. Bob is a very friendly and helpful host. Would love to stay there again!

My family and I were in town to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. I booked this place due to it's 5 star rating and reviews. It did not disappoint. I can't really call it an apartment b/c it is a separate living area, has it's own door and the stairway leads up into a upper level living space that is gorgeous, spacious and immaculate. The place is historic and newly refurbished and everything is top-notch. Two full bathrooms, was a real treat. The place had everything you could want and is located in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. We walked about 1/2 block to get coffee and avocado toast every morning. I have stayed in many VRBO's and this by far is the nicest.

Fabulous house, perfect location

Loved everything about this place. Historic charm yet beautifully updated. Quiet, walkable neighborhood less than 15 mins to zoo, Sea World and beaches. Short drive to airport but never heard a single plane fly over. Super comfortable king size beds in both large bedrooms. Host quickly answered questions. Easy parking right outside front door. Definitely hope to stay here again!

If I could have given a rate of 20 I would have gladly done so! Bob was a very gracious host and made us feel very welcome. His property is five star and beautifully decorated with lovely antiques and old photographs that we love. It feels like Melinda’s hand has touched every square inch with love! We hope to revisit someday!

A phenomenal BnB stay!

This beautiful historical property has been recently fully renovated and is spotlessly clean. It is better-furnished than any BnB we have seen, and is in fact nicer than a very high-end hotel penthouse suite. Located in an iconic, very quiet neighborhood very close to everything we wanted to visit, the views from the many large windows were wonderful. The hosts could not have been better. We look forrward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful neighborhood andthe house is gorgeous ! The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed. restaurant, shopping and sightseeing are nearby. owners were easy to work with. Beds were comfortable. Definitely would recommend and would love to go back.

Beautiful home in Montecito

Bob & Melindas home was one of the most beautiful VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. It was even more beautiful than the photos. We had all the amenities we needed, the beds were very comfortable and the place was immaculately kept. We would most definitely stay here again in the future.

Casa Montecito

Beautifully presented residence located in desirable neighborhood. Well positioned for easy access to most areas of town. Very pleasant owner. This is a duplex unit with a flight of stairs to reach interior. Considering its location in a congested neighborhood it is extremely quiet- day and night.

Melinda and Bob were fantastic hosts and we would like to thank them for allowing us to stay in their wonderful property. The house was absolutely stunning and in a beautiful area. All the furnishings and equipment were comfortable and clean and in great condition. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the property, so I got all my laundry done before we came home. Bob and Melinda were on hand to answer any questions we had and recommended places for us to visit and have dinner, Bob even drove us to the supermarket when we arrived to pick up provisions for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to San Diego and I would highly recommend this property.

Casa Montecito is a historic home built in 1913. In 1923 it was converted into a duplex with upper and lower units. We reside in the downstairs unit. Mission Hills is a special place. A quiet, residential, walkable and safe neighborhood. We are sure you will enjoy it!

Close to all and walk or bike to restaurants and parks. Or sit on the porch and enjoy the cool ocean breezes.
