I loved this cottage! It had everything we needed and it was SUPER CLEAN. We would definitely stay here again. It wasn't too far from the beach either. It's a nice walk but they do have a # for a shuttle to the beach.

Loved the place. It looked closer to the beach on the Internet but was still very nice and a short walk to the beach. Everyone was very nice and I felt very safe there.

It was perfect. We were reminded of many things we loved about Destin area when we first visited 16 years ago … without staying in the “thick” of the busy beaches, or being in a high rise condo. Our favorite "surprise" was the beach tram!! And the trails ... we loved walking the property instead of sweating along Hwy98. Although the pools and pickleball courts looked immaculate and were one reason for booking, we found ourselves lounging on the silver sands by the water all day - every day. We appreciated the communication from the property owner and honesty when something very small was noted before our arrival. It’s obvious they want the space to be perfect. We will be back again!

Stay was great, the unit was even ready to check in early. Check in process was easy. Clean unit and had everything we needed. I do wish there were more restaurants and shops near this property as we were stuck driving every night. Short walk to the beach and the trolley was easily accessible for rides to and from. FYI, the beach access at this resort is not handicap accessible, and we were stuck lugging toddlers, wagons, chairs, coolers, and tents up and down 3 flights of stairs every day. Would not have stayed in this resort had I known that there was no ramp to the beach. But that's my own fault for not checking. 5/5 stars on everything else.

Excellent Vacation Stay

Great place to stay if you want peace and comfort. We enjoyed the pristine clear water and white sandy beach, just be ready to pay for umbrellas and chairs. When not on the beach the pools were a great place to unwind. Shopping, restaurants, and groceries are less than 10 minutes away. Would stay here again if ever back in Destin.

Wonderful place for a family vacation

Family of 6 (parents and kids ranging from 16-22). Space was perfect for our group. The boys had an upstairs space all to themselves. Beach was beautiful and clean. No issues at all. Washer and dryer worked perfectly. Apartment was clean and had everything you would need.

Cozy Cottage

Very Comfortable Cozy Cottage Everything was nice and clean & had everything we needed.Large pool very close by. Beach is about 5 minute walk through shady path.Golf cart was available at certain times to take people to beach. Kid Friendly, very safe environment. Close to shopping and restaurants. This place does not allow any rental golf carts or motorized vehicles. We really enjoyed our stay and was very comfortable had a screened in porch that was a great place to sit in the evening & morning.This is on the 2nd story so you will have stairs to walk up. Air conditioner and all appliances worked Great!

An amazing trip!

The getaway is just a close 5min walk from the beach which is absolutely gorgeous!😊🌸 Great for a family of 6! Very relaxing and plenty of Space. There a few things around like a Publix and Walmart about 5-10min drive. In all it was a great experience and it would be great to come back!😊🙌

Wonderful Stay!

We are a family of four - dad, mom, teenage son, and teenage daughter. This condo was perfect for us. My kids loved having their own rooms AND bathrooms (my son loved having the entire upstairs loft to himself!) The condo was spacious and clean, as well as filled with comfy furniture and tasteful decor. The location was wonderful. The walk to the beach is lovely - walk by the pool, a lake, and beautiful landscaping on your way! We hope to return!

Beach vacation

The property and location are great. The bedding needs improvement. There were no bed spreads nor comforters on any of the beds. They were covered with a sheet, light blanket and a second sheet. Other than this small issue everything was good and overall a great place to stay.

Hidden Dunes Beach Cottage 193

I have mixed feelings about our stay. We had a great time and we liked the neighborhood/resort. We had a problem with the AC and the management called someone to fix it and they delivered us some window units until the part came in. On the other hand, the rest of the appliances had issues. In the reviews, the dryer has had issues since 2019 and it still is not working. I had to cycle the dryer 4 times at 60 minutes to dry a normal size load. We noticed that the spin cycle on the washer also does not work very well and the clothes were dripping wet. The dishwasher seems to be a fire hazard. We had a butter dish on the counter above the dishwasher. When we ran the dishwasher, it made the countertop so hot that the butter melted into a liquid all over the counter. The big TV in the living room has a volume issue. The background noise of all the programs was louder than the voices. We had a great time there and we are not normally hard to please but these issues really need attention. People pay lots of money and this is very inconvenient for your guests. If the appliances worked properly, this would be 5*.

Never had this experience with VRBO properties!

The cottage was very nice with plenty of room; location was wonderful but there were a few issues that need to be checked into: 1- when we started preparing the evening meal we noticed the pans were not clean (leftover food and burned food on the muffin pans) not very appealing. 2-when we pulled out the sleeper sofa there were dirty sheets and blankets with roach/rat poop in a pile in the middle of the bed! The management company should make certain their cleaning crew check for things like that. We also had a few unwanted palmetto bugs in the bathroom and kitchen area, but we realize we were in a pretty wooded area and took care of the pests. Should be on a pest control contract to try to minimize the problem Other than those few things our stay was wonderful! The kids loved the beach and most of all the pools!!

Loved this property!! The pools were nice . The walk to the beach wasn’t bad and the beach was absolutely beautiful. Will vacation in this area again!!! The condo was a little out dated but all in all nice.
