Honestly? We were done with grey winters.
After years in Germany, we sat down one day and asked ourselves: where do we actually want to raise our kids? The answer came faster than expected. Sun. Sea. Space. A place where the kids can be outside in January, where life happens outdoors, and where the pace is just a little slower than what we were used to.
Cyprus ticked every box — and then some.
What surprised us most was how much variety this island packs into such a small space. World-class beaches five minutes away. Quiet mountain villages twenty minutes inland. The old town of Paphos, the wild Akamas Peninsula, vineyards, sea caves, hiking trails. You never run out of things to discover — but you also never feel like you have to.
Peyia and Coral Bay felt right from the first day. The coastline, the community, the light in the evenings. We stopped looking after that.
We've been here long enough now to know the best spots, the hidden beaches, and which taverna you should absolutely not miss.
We're happy to share all of it.

The infinity pool doesn't just overlook the sea — it visually disappears into it. Sit at the edge and the horizon is uninterrupted water. The 3×3 metre panoramic windows do the same thing from inside: the Mediterranean as your living room backdrop, every single morning.
This villa was built as a private family home, not as a rental investment — and that difference shows. The pizza oven and outdoor kitchen are properly equipped. The home cinema with projector and surround sound is set up the way we'd want it ourselves. The home bar, the basketball hoop, the covered outdoor area big enough for all ten of you — every detail was chosen because it actually gets used.
Then there's the location. We're completely detached — no neighbours, no shared walls, no one else's noise. Just your group, on your own private hillside, with Coral Bay beach just 3 minutes away by car.
It's private in a way that most villas around here simply aren't.
