Amazing cozy cottage with a great location. Loved our stay. The property managers were amazing and attentive to all requests. There’s a small market and sandwich shop within walking distance. Great food and amazing customer service. Highly recommend.

It was perfect! We had 4 ppl with us and it was a close drive to a few beaches, lots of restaurants and shops. The house is adorable with all you could need for your trip. Host was responsive and kind.

Perfect Maine Getaway

This was our second time staying in Rose Cottage and it won't be our last. Staying here is comparable to staying in a 5 star resort in an idyllic storybook location. The house is immaculate, extremely comfortable and well appointed. It is within walking distance to restaurants, local shops and markets...and just a short 5 minute drive to the heart of Kennebunkport. The ideal place to stay for a true taste of Maine!

I had the most peaceful wonderful week at Rose Cottage. Amazing amenities, beautiful property and superb location. Only thing to note is that the church bells across the street chime every hour. I already rebooked another stay for next year!

Rose Cottage afforded a superb stay at Cape Porpoise!! The amenities and furnishings were superior! Also enjoyed the landscaping and exterior. We dined out each night ! Cutest Cottage and Town!

Rose Cottage was adorable! By far one of the best VRBOs we’ve stayed in! It was very clean and had everything you needed and more. The town of Cape Porpoise that its located in is so charming too! We loved staying outside of downtown Kennebunkport because of how crowded it gets but the cottage is a quick 5 min. away if you want to go into town but we honestly enjoyed staying in cape porpoise over going to Kennebunkport. We will definitely be coming back to rose cottage and cape porpoise!

Loved our stay at Rose Cottage. Such a cozy cottage in beautiful Kennebunkport. The cottage is very welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are so comfortable. The location is ideally located close to town and beaches.

Storybook Cottage

Perfection in every way! Rose Cottage is the ideal place to stay for a getaway in southern Maine. Beautifully appointed with lush landscaping, Rose Cottage feels like it has been plucked from the pages of a fairytale. Close enough to Kennebunkport but tucked away in the quaint village of Cape Porpoise. Dining and shopping are located just a scenic, short stroll away from the cottage. We will definitely return!

Rose cottage is gorgeous inside and out! It’s location in Cape Porpoise is peaceful and wonderful. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We were in for our 20th wedding anniversary from Texas. Rose Cottage was pristine, and perfect in every way! We loved being in Cape Purpoise, close to Kennebunkport, but quiet and away from the hustle and bustle and traffic. The church bells were an added bonus! Thanks for everything!

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Cape Porpoise!

We selected Rose Cottage to get away for a few days to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was marvelous! Rose Cottage is a gem nestled in the center of village life. It was really great to be right there in the midst of the activity but yet have our quaint lovely cottage as a private retreat. In the afternoons, the sun would stream in the front windows as we sat reading our books, listening to the church bells. One evening we had our own private concert as the organist practiced in the church across the street. We explored the neighborhood gift store and art studio and met many locals who were interesting to chat with and very friendly. Right in Cape Porpoise, there are three small stores, a library, and two restaurants which makes everything you need very convenient. Each day, we took walks down the Pier Rd where we enjoyed the ever changing view of the harbor, Goat Island Lighthouse or had lobster rolls for lunch. At the end of Pier Rd one can eat at the Chowder House, the Ramp or Pier 77. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and furnished with only the very best appliances and luxury towels/linens/soaps. The owner has taken great care in the details including stocking the kitchen with everything needed. Our favorite treat was the Moccamaster Coffee Maker and the Italian Roast coffee that was left for us to start our mornings. The cottage was spotlessly clean and in impeccable order. It has been beautifully decorated and although it is truly a cottage, it has that perfect touch of simple elegance and sophistication that make an impression. The property managers we interacted with were Jamie and Todd. They were very pleasant and anxious to please. It was clear that they wanted us to have a great stay and were available for us during our visit. They made sure we had everything we needed, got us acquainted with the cottage upon arrival, and brought us a gift tote bag with the local newspapers of events and activities to do. Outside, the yard and flower beds were just coming to life and I'm sure they are quite lovely later in the season. The outdoor chairs were a great spot to enjoy a drink and relax. We hope to return to Rose Cottage again in the future. It deserves a 5 diamond rating along with its 5 stars...it is the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation and rest for the soul. We highly recommend it.
