Fantastic location and quality

Fantastic location and quality: I got this for me and my employees who were on the road for a week… Provided excellent common space and good privacy between the bedrooms. Very clean very hospitable- a perfect place for medium to large groups!

GREAT STAY AT THE FALCON!

The location was convenient to Asheville and other Western North Carolina (WNC) attractions. The property was very well maintained and furnished, and the owners were super accommodating. “The Falcon” property gets a triple thumbs-up from us! 👍👍👍

Beautiful Place

This place was simply gorgeous. Enough room for 8 friends of 30 years to meet, eat and enjoy each other with much laughter. Great get away for a family vacation. Love the garage activities!

Awesome place for Asheville trips

Lots of space and thoughtful touches!

The place was wonderful and improved with many thoughtful touches like snacks to welcome us. Kitchen had everything that you could need to cook for a big group. We had so much fun playing games in the garage. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Outstanding Accommodations

Extremely clean and well-maintained rental. Very spacious for a family gathering of 12. Extra thought went into stock of basic supplies to keep the visit running smoothly, and a great mixture of games - we really enjoyed the ping-pong table. We have enjoyed many VRBO rentals, but this stay elevated the bar to a higher level. Very quick commute to downtown Asheville and Biltmore.

We absolutely love this property!!!

Shelia was amazing and very accommodating! The property was spotless and was more than enough space for our party of 10. If anyone forgot anything there were extras items there for us. We couldn’t ask for a better property and a way to celebrate a birthday. The entire experience was better than expected, we have nothing but great things to say and we will definitely be back!!!

Amazing Stay

Don't hesitate to book this property. It is above and beyond the description. There are so many extra items and basically anything you need is thought of ahead of time and in the unit. The location is great, close to so many stores and restaurants and a quick drive to downtown and the Biltmore Village and Estates. We loved hiking in the area by the property where we were able to go to a different trail everyday.

I can't say enough good things about this home! I was well decorated and comfortable! Included too many extras to list! Teas, coffee, sewing kits, extra toothbrushes, tips, mustard, mayo, ketchup, spices, the list goes on and on! We loved the proximity to the airport! Great home would definitely recommend this to others!

This property is beautiful, and our group of six ladies really enjoyed having our individual bedrooms. This is a new home that is very comfortable, and we found it in pristine condition. The house is extremely well equipped, less than ten minutes from the Asheville Regional Airport, and an easy drive to the Biltmore Estate, River Arts District, downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many other area attractions. The hosts were exceptional and cheerfully accommodated our needs and requests. We were so happy with our experience here.

Review of The Falcon at Asheville Retreats

The house was spacious and the host provided many treats for us (candy and the like). They also had a stocked coffee k-cup setup. The house is cozy and felt clean. One of the bathroom's shower was totally clogged, but all the others worked well and they provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The garage also has some fun games and we took advantage of those before heading to the city. Fair warning, this spot is about 20m or so from the city proper, so plan accordingly.

Bachelorette Party

The house is absolutely gorgeous, well organized, and saying clean would be an understatement. It was completely stacked up with everything we possibly could’ve needed/wanted/forgot for our four day stay. Sheila was absolutely amazing, as well. She is extremely kind, welcoming, and responded promptly each time we reached out! We couldn’t have found a better house or host for our bachelorette weekend away with our friends. There were 21 of us and more than enough space, beds/cots, blankets and pillows for everyone to be cozy! I highly recommend!

Best Rental Ever - Every Detail Considered

We celebrated my father-in-law’s 90th birthday at the Falcon. It has a large, nicely-designed floor plan, but what really sets this property apart from all others is the attention to every detail that the owners have paid. The listing is absolutely spot-on in describing the space and amenities provided, and the accurate floor plan was a great help in figuring out who would sleep where. Everything was very clean, beds/bedding were comfortable, and there were plenty of nice towels. The amount and variety of consumable items provided was outstanding (TP, coffee, snacks, condiments, foil, etc). The house is beautifully decorated, and we appreciated the beautiful original artwork painted by the owner. The game room was phenomenal!

This place is perfect!

I looked at least 100+ properties before I selected this one. All the glowing reviews for the Falcon were what made the difference to me, and they were all 100% accurate. This was a special trip for our family and included 4 generations - little babies, teenagers/young adults, adults and seniors. It immediately felt like home the moment we walked in. Every possible need has been thoughtfully anticipated. Cleanliness was perfect, comfortable beds, lots of things to entertain everyone, and the location could not be any more convenient. The hosts were immediately responsive when I had a couple of questions and incredibly kind and gracious. Excellent communication and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. You'll love it here, too!

65th Birthday Celebration

My mom wanted to do something for her 65th bday with just a few close friends. Because everyone did not know each other, we wanted a place that allow privacy and space. This place did just that. The ladies could not stop talking about how spacious the townhouse was and how they felt comfortable having their own room. It was nine of us that went and only the ones that came as a mother/daughter duo shared a room but there were 2 beds in 2 of the rooms. It was like Sheila thought of every possible scenario because she had it and every room including the kitchen was VERY organized. Every time I go near Asheville I will be staying here! I can't stop talking about this place to people I know and the pictures doesn't even capture all the amazing qualities it has to offer. All I can say is that this place is a MUST STAY!!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT AND WOULD WANT TO GO BACK!!!

Birthday get together

This was the best experience that all 15 of us have ever had with a VRBO. Not only is the house amazing but it has everything you could ever need. From the moment we got there , Sheila , the owner , reached out to see if everything was good. The kitchen was ready to go with spices , seasonings , condiments , gift basket and more. The bathrooms all had a drawer full of items that might be needed or forgotten along with lots of regular towels and beach towels. Their was plenty to do in the house from the TV with Hulu and Netflix to games to a garage full of more games. Sheila also went above and beyond to help navigate all of us so that we could tube the French Broad River. She provided the tubes, blew them all up for us , transported us all to the drop off point and picked us up. I have never had such a generous and kind host. There are just enough good things to say about the host and the house. We will definitely be going back and will want to stay with her again.

We have called Asheville home since 2005. We love it here because even though we are surrounded by 4+ acres of trees, creek, ( and bunnies, foxes, deer and every once in a while a bear) we are minutes from shopping and restaurants and super centrally located. We've always loved hosting guests and meeting new friends. Brennen is a landscape painter and Sheila loves to read, sit in the hammock and pursue creating the world's most perfect lawn. We look forward to having you here!

Centrally located, yet private, Winterhawk Vacation Rentals are nestled on 5+ acres in south Asheville. This 3300+ open floorplan end unit townhome is located at the end of our private road. Our 4 townhomes (2 AirBnBs, 1 longterm rental and 1 owner occupied unit) are the only ones located on our private drive. The 4+ acres are peaceful and full of wildlife.

The Asheville area has many beautiful vacation rental options, however, many are corporate run. We live in one of the other townhomes on-site and are able to provide exceptional service and attention to detail that a corporation cannot. Ever go to a vacation rental and feel like you need to bring your own kitchen knives? We stock this home as though our good friends were coming to stay. We adhere to a "leave the whole box" philosophy. Rather than providing two trash bags, we leave the whole box. It's the little things that make all the difference: kitchen basics like soaps, cooking oils, spices, fruits and snacks. Laundry basics like detergent, fabric softener, stain spray, and ironing spray. Travel basics: sewing kits, first aid kits, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, floss, razors, feminine products, makeup remover wipes, advil, pepto, benedryl, lip balm and more. We stocked this house with the things we would want when we go on vacation. We've found that, without exception, our guests have returned the courtesy; using what they need and leaving what they don't. Kinda restores your faith in humanity, right? :)
