Gateway Villas # 199 Condo

Nuestra hermosa unidad de esquina de dos dormitorios y dos baños ubicada en el muy deseado complejo Gateway Villas en el extremo norte de Fort Myers Beach. Esta comunidad cerrada tiene una piscina climatizada con tumbonas en la terraza de la piscina, lavandería en el nivel del suelo, estacionamiento abierto y se encuentra justo en la arena. El Gateway Villas está a aproximadamente 400 metros de la popular zona de Time Square y del parque Bowditch. No es necesario alquilar un auto, puede caminar a muchos lugares y servicios que Fort Myers Beach tiene para ofrecer o tomar un corto viaje en tranvía por toda la isla.

Nuestro condominio de unidad de esquina es cómodo para dos parejas de vacaciones o una gran familia. Al ingresar a la unidad, se recibe un área de vestíbulo que conduce a la gran sala (donde se puede ver la playa / Golfo de México al instante) o el dormitorio principal. Nuestra área de habitación familiar tiene un cómodo sofá (cama), sillas y TV de pantalla plana. También hay una zona de comedor con capacidad para 4 personas. La cocina está equipada con todos los elementos esenciales del hogar. El dormitorio principal como una cama king size, TV de pantalla plana, al aire libre con mosquitero en lanai y baño privado. El dormitorio # 2 tiene dos camas gemelas. El baño del pasillo tiene una configuración de bañera / ducha. Otras comodidades que ofrece nuestra unidad es wifi gratuito, TV por cable, reproductor de DVD, lavadora / secadora, ropa de cama y toallas, pisos de baldosas en todo, y sillas de playa. El mejor equipamiento que ofrece nuestra unidad es la hermosa vista de la playa / Golfo de México desde el interior de la unidad y desde su terraza privada al aire libre con asientos. Disfruta viendo la vida salvaje en la arena y en el agua. ¿Qué más se puede pedir en unas vacaciones en la playa?

Great stay!

This property was in a great location just north of Times Square. Plenty of room in the pool, on the beach, and in the gated parking lot. We used the grills several times too. Never a line. Property manager was responsive to one small incident that we had even though it was the weekend.

Beautiful property

We came here for a family vacation in June 2022, and the condo was all that we expected :) The place is decorated very beachy as expected. Our kids loved the twin bed room and our 6 year old slept well on the pull out sofa. There was not a sheet for this bed, nor could we find pillow cases for the extra pillows, but she utilized the extra blankets we found for the week, so it was not a big deal. The beds were all very comfy and rooms were beautifully decorated. The early trash and recycling pick up was directly under this unit, so that wasn't fun to be woken up early some of our stay, but it is what it is. Each room had a tv with cable and some tvs had additional options to login to subscribed apps like Netflix, Amazon video, etc and my kids loved that. The kitchen had almost everything we needed though it would have been nice to have some ketchup and mustard packets left, we didn't want to buy whole bottles of those things that would have just gotten tossed at the end. There was salt and pepper and coffee filters so that was helpful. There was lots of beach toys and chairs to utilize so that was very appreciated. My kids loved the heated multi depth pool, it goes to 9.5 feet so they loved having a deep end, you don't see that often anymore in condo pool set-ups. Lots of lounge chairs at pool and Adirondack chairs to view the beach from shade and to enjoy any rainstorms. The property was well maintained and the pool guy was very friendly. Our only hiccup on arrival was that TriPower sent an email saying we wouldn't have to stop by their office and could just go right to the property, but that wasn't the case when we arrived. We didn't have a way to get in to the gate. So we did have to go to the office, which was closed, but I called the # on the door and they answered and gave me the code to get into the lockbox to get our welcome packet. So that process needs to get stream-lined. We did love that there was a gate on the community, it did feel safer to not have any access if you weren't staying on the property. There was plenty of parking in the lot and it was a pretty parking lot with the stone work. The location of this condo is north and off the beaten, busy path but still walkable down to Times Square, about 15 minutes each way. We loved that there was a 7-11 that was only a 5 min walk, our kids enjoyed getting Slurpees every other day. The easy walk out to the beach was lovely and we had a great time!

Family spring break

The condo is clean and nice enough. We knew from photos & reviews that the view was not great & would be obstructed & were ok with that, but the patio furniture is pretty uncomfortable & uninviting. Also, all of the beach chairs & toys are stored out on the patio, making it feel crowded. There were only four small, thin beach towels provided for this unit & the only cooler in the unit had a broken zipper. We do a lot of cooking. The kitchen is small, so not much room for more than one person. There are plenty of pots/pans to cook with, but not much in the way of bowls/containers for food prep & there isn’t a working can opener or any sharp knives. One other thing in the kitchen that should he addressed is the ceiling light cover. It fell out multiple times during our stay. I think it’s too small or warped. Figuring out all the codes & key card to get onto the property was a little tricky. I didn’t feel the directions were real clear. There is a key card to open the gate to the property parking lot (you only get 1 & must go to the rental company to get it), a code to get into the condo building & a separate code to get into your condo unit. We have been going to Ft Myers Beach for many many years & this is the first time staying on this end of the island. We really enjoyed the location, but will probably seek a different condo next time.

Easy respite from the north country

The unit is very comfortable, the rooms are generously sized, the balcony is nicely sized for casual coffees, breakfast, and lunch, and the living room provided adequate seating for our family to watch some TV at the end of the day. The kitchen we hardly used, although it seemed to have plenty of pots and pan, and other cooking tools. We just chose to eat simple breakfasts and lunches in the condo and go out for dinners. The master shower is amazing, we pretty much just all used that because it was so decadent. The area around the condo is quiet, which we liked, and the walk to the Times Square area was only 10 - 15 minutes, so an easy stroll for causal dinners. If you have a rental car or want to Uber/lyft the South Beach Grille on the southern end of the island was really great, we liked it so much we went back for a second dinner. The nearby restaurants are much more casual and beach oriented. Lots of the other people we met at the property have rented there with regularity and I understand why. Overall, we would stay again if coming back to the Fort Myers Beach area.

Perfect condo for a family

I highly recommend this condo! It was perfect for our family of four that included two teen boys. It was so nice to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The teens appreciated each having their own bed. The condo is beautifully decorated and has everything you needed to enjoy your stay on Fort Myers Beach including extras like beach umbrella and chairs. The location is wonderful. Easy walk to Times Square either on the beach or sidewalk.

Awesome place, beautiful view

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean with all the tools you would need in the kitchen. Nice decoration, looks like it had been updated fairly recently. The pool is great, clean and well taken care of. Location was perfect on the beach but close to the pier restaurants and shops.

Beautiful, Comfortable and Clean

This is a fabulous property. Comfy, clean, and in a perfect location. The beach was quiet in early March which we loved. Walkable to restaurants as well.

Great location!

Very nice - down one flight of stairs then directly out to the beach. Very nice pool and pool deck. Nice to have the gas grills available. Condo clean and adequately supplied. Unit was as pictured in the listing. Love being on the quiet north end, yet walking distance to downtown. Loved watching the New Year's Eve fireworks from the beach - so fun!

Toller Urlaub

Die Wohnung war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das 2. Schlafzimmer war etwas klein wohl eher für Kinder gedacht. Schöner Balkon mit tollem Ausblick. Leider am Strand viele Algen. Strandstühle waren vorhanden. Die Lage perfekt. Vor der Tür eine Bushaltestelle. Parkplatz und WLAN gab es auch. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Excellent unit with all you could need

We loved our stay in unit 199. The kitchen was well-stocked, all the furniture and beds were very comfortable and well equipped. The balcony offered a beautiful view,. We particularly enjoyed all the TVs in each bedroom. It was a great vacation!

We very much enjoyed this condo and the location right on the beach. We appreciate the well equipped kitchen and the beach chairs, Tv's, and linens. The only negative is hearing the people above us urinating and flushing their toilets.

View from condo & easy access to beach was outstanding. Pool was very nice, but no sun shines on pool are until very late morning. Condo needs a lot of TLC. Several knobs missing from kitchen cabinets, faucet in master bath leaks all over vanity top, vertical blinds at main sliding door are broken, mold in grouted areas of bathrooms, dishwasher does not clean dishes on one cycle, and “timed” cycle on dryer does not dry clothes. There was a broom, but no dustpan. Small piece of notebook paper with wi-fi info was finally found inside a drawer. Paper said TV instructions on page 2, but there was no page 2. There were 3 remotes, and it took at least 45 minutes to figure out correct combination for main tv. Were never able to get tv in 2nd bedroom to work. Sleeper sofa really needs replaced, and there were no sheets to use on it. Didn’t discover this until bedtime, so had none for first night. You should be able to leave gate pass in condo when you leave & not have to drive back to office to drop off.
