This fabulous coastal getaway sits right on the beach, in the very heart of the quintessentially British seaside town of Budleigh Salterton. It boasts a remarkable setting right on the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The town is a delightful mix of individual shops, arty shops and eateries, with a famous sweeping pebbly beach and striking red sandstone cliffs. Enjoy picturesque promenades and off-road routes such as the former railway track which make for leisurely family bike rides. The River Otter Nature Reserve is a haven for birdwatchers set at the far end of the beach, and walkers can easily access the South West Coast Path. The revered annual literary festival is a highlight in September, as is the classical music festival every June. Exciting local destinations include the beautiful cathedral city of Exeter, estuary town of Topsham, and the two seaside resorts of Exmouth and Sidmouth (all within 15 miles).
Heading into this beachside property (just off Fore Street) brings you into a hallway leading on to a well-equipped kitchen diner with a fridge, freezer, and small dining area for casual breakfasts on the go. The inner hallway has a handy WC and utility room with washing machine. The hallway then leads you into the spacious living room and dining room stylishly furnished and equipped with a large bay window framing the sea alongside ample comfy seating and stylish décor. Just off the lounge is a cosy TV/cinema room complete with projector blackout blinds a three-seater sofa, ideal for a movie night together. From the hallway the stairs lead to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms. The first is a contemporary master bedroom with a king-size bed, impressive bay window with original shutters, a comfy sofa and an armchair strategically placed to enjoy the magnificent, uninterrupted sea view. The second and third bedrooms both have zip-and-link king-size beds (which can be made into single beds on request at the time of booking). Three steps down lead to the compact shower room with shower and sink (but no WC). The family bathroom has a bath, washbasin and WC, and a skylight ideal for stargazing from the tub!
Outside, there is a small patio area at the rear with the pebbled beach immediately beyond. Enjoy a morning stroll along the shore every morning during your stay at this wonderful seafront holiday home.
