Great Accommodations!

The location was perfect. Central to all areas of the island. Quiet neighborhood. Great getaway to relax. Would definitely stay at this VRBO again.

Well kept

Enjoyed our stay and perfect for our pets. Only complaint was sliding glass door going out to back yard. Very hard to slide and lock. Other than that we had a great time in spite of the weather for 3 of our 4 days.

The house is old and shows its age so don’t expect luxury. Most everything inside needs updating or replacing but it is well maintained.

Cozy cottage

This duplex offers no frills but is perfectly comfortable, roomy and well provisioned for four adults. We did much of our own cooking. Beds are comfortable. Nice linens. We enjoyed a quiet week before Memorial Day with many trips to the nearby beaches and surrounding communities. Location near driftwood beach and birdwatching sites is a plus. Also fun to get to meet other guests and owners in adjoining duplex. The large backyard is host to many birds and the local deer. The rear patio off the kitchen is a bit small but shady and private.

It has potential to be a little nicer and appear cleanerwith fresh paint, new mattresses and boxsprings if needed- place all pillows and mattresses in vinyl or hypoallergenic encasements, Replace rusty shelving over toilet in master( i bought one at lidl for 35$ that looks nicer...new couch- even if used find one less used than one in the house. this can all be done for a relatively cheap price.

Reviewer Comments: As a last minute mini vacation we wanted to book a villa near driftwood beach. Although the condo was available on line when we called it wasn't clean. The agent who answered the phone rented us a duplex across the island. We were driving so we had no clue where this was. We would NEVER have picked this home. My dog could not walk to the beach from this location. The house itself was fine, but the furniture was dirty. It was disgusting. It needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Great time at Jekyll

We loved sitting on the front porch area in the morning as it was a sunny spot and enjoyed the back patio and yard when a little shade was desired. The house is older and could use some new living room furniture but was clean and had what we needed. The kitchen has a nice large table to seat the whole group.

It was a 1.5-2 block walk to the beach (about 5 minutes). It was a quiet street. It's an older home, but the beds were comfortable, we found everything we needed and we spent most of our time at the beach. I found the property management company to be outstanding, most helpful.

The property was perfect for my family. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for all our cooking needs. It was beautiful to sit on the back patio every evening and watch the deer graze in the back yard. Only issues were the washing machine agitator only works on a small load and the Wi-Fi password we were provided didn't work.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time. Always love visiting Jekyll. Shrimp and Grits in the morning and Georgia football in the afternoon. You can't ask for better. Pus at halftime about 12 deer walked through the back yard. My only complaint is charging extra for linens. We have stayed at many rentals all over the US and they all provide linens. Not a fan.

November 2022 Stay

We enjoyed the stay. It is a definite do over. Went to the Shrimp and Grits Festival. Saw a bunch of deer in the back yard. Would definitely recomend. However, there are a couple of nit picky complaints. On is we were not able the locate the WiFi password and two we had keys for two different places, Family Ties and Holly Bourne. It would have been awkward if we left with the wrong key. I'm not a fan of the supply your own linens or rent them Policy. Most, all but Jekyll the linens are supplied as part of the package. These are tiny complaints, all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is awesome to work with.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check-in and out was easy.We had enough bedrooms for all four of us. Only one had problems with the bed. It was hard and she woke up with an aching back even after sleeping on a comforter and two flat pillows.Discovered a leak under the sink. We put a bowl under it to catch the water.The master shower didn't have good water pressure.The tv didn't have good channels,not even the weather, had to pay extra. We didn't like that!Didn't have a washer/dryer which was a bummer. The location was good. Quite area was good. Didn't hear too much from the neighbor.All in all was a good stay. Jekyll Island is a wonderful place to visit.

Excellent Location

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd stay at this property. Last year and this year we stayed for 4 weeks. Overall this is not a good choice for a long term stay (and might be okay for a 1 week stay if you are patient). The owners clearly do not take pride in the property, which is obvious by the many small issues with the house. After our stay last year we suggested a couple of minor changes - for example - putting some stones (maybe 4) in the yard so after feet are washed they don't get all dirty and sandy again (to track inside the house! - and fixing the fridge so that all of the space is useable. Neither of these things were fixed for this year's visit and, in fact, we had to cut cardboard to put in the fridge so we could use one of the drawers. Ridiculous...There are many small things that could be done to make this an excellent rental property but, again it is clear that the owners have no interest in guest retention. We will not be staying at this location again. Jekyll Realty is wonderful and try to make things right regardless of the lack of support from their owners.

Reviewer Comments: Ok so the house was very nice in clean the only 3 issues I had was there was a major Ant infestation in the wash room and they were coming in the house there was also some very large spiders coming in to visit. The other issue was that the Dryer was heating up but clothes were not drying it took 4hrs for a load of towels to dry. Everything else was good . Prob could put more Toilet paper in the house especially since there was 5 of us staying.

House review

Toilet seal was leaking and they fixed it right away. It could stand a spring cleaning and a spray for spiders. We have stayed here before and overall a goid experience.
