We suggest they need some outdoor furniture – there is only one chair on the back patio. Also suggest that they put some hooks or extra towel racks in the bathroom.

Nice just some suggestions

Enjoyed the stay. It was advertised as having bbq area, the gas grill had no tank and the charcoal grill was extremely dirty and had to be cleaned.

Weekend to enjoy Christmas lights

This is an older home but well kept. We enjoyed the "hominess" and the Jekyll room was THE BEST. The neighborhood feels very safe and we enjoyed the feel of nature in the back yard. The beds could use some updating and fixing the light in the yard would make finding the house at night much easier. We all enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again.

Great house and location, layout, spacious. Some updating with new clean grout mainly in bathrooms and cleaning dead bugs out of the old light fixtures. Old dirty rugs. A lot of outdoor furniture inside but only one chair outside.

I know this might not be a big deal to some people but the house has fabulous water pressure & lots of hot water. A couple of the beach access near the house are closed but you are still walking distance & very short drive to beach access. If you enjoy riding bikes....great bike paths.

February 2024 Stay

This is a perfect home on Jekyll Island. We love everything about it. The sunroom is wonderful with a view of the lovely woods behind the house. This gives a feeling of seclusion even though the house is on the main road. Furniture is comfortable. Neighbors are quiet. We can’t say enough positive remarks about this house, just love it.

We came down this year for my 62nd birthday week. 1st family vacation in 6 years. Loved the house! Was a great space for the 5 of us to spread out. Went all over the island either by bike, car or walking. This island is like my 2nd home. I've been coming here all my life My daughter was proposed to on Driftwood Beach. She said yes! When I called the office for anything, everyone did what I needed and more! They have some great employees!

The only negatives would be the smaller bathrooms and the fridge seemed to be on the fritz. We did have an issue with some outlets not working...check those if you need to charge the red buggy! Also, the proximity to the beach and access to bikes and beach chairs was AMAZING! We will be back!

The furniture and bedding was not as comfortable as I would like and outdated. But other than the furniture it was an amazing experience. The island is beautifully decorated with Christmas lights. We have come to Jekyll for about 4 years for Holly Jolly Christmas. Hope to continue as a tradition.

Amazing house!

We were absolutely blown away by this house, for just the two of us it was way more then enough space at a great price! The sun room is my favorite spot and when we wernt out and about that's where we spend most of our time at the house. It was such a short walk to the beach I was able to go out on runs on the beach in the mornings and watch the sunrise! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back with friends or family next time!

Overall the cottage itself was dated, but nice. It is in a good location. The cleaning service used is awful. There was rat poop in a couple of kitchen drawers and under the sink in the master bathroom. There was hair in both showers. There were a lot of dishes put away dirty. There was trash in the washing machine. The farthest right (from the inside) back door does not lock. The lawn care people came (with no notice) around 9 am (mowing, leaf blowing). So just be warned. There is also a notice about pest control having access to the cottage without your prior knowledge. The response from the office when we told them of a few of the issues at checkout was "Did you call the office and let them know? We could of had someone come out and take care of that for you." I'm sorry, but I'd rather not have a stranger in the cottage around my children or in the cottage while we were out and our stuff in there. We cleaned the dishes we used before and after use, and avoided the areas where we found rat poop.

The property sleeps 6-8 but only had 2 chairs outside to sit in and one broke the 2 Nd night due to low quality. Twin bed mattress’s are very old need replaced.
