Explore the treasures of Jekyll with this tranquil home as the base camp for your stay. Enjoy the hush of the morning with a coffee on the screened back patio overlooking the pool. Bike, run, walk or stroll on the marsh side paths just off the end of the driveway. Follow an outing at the beach with a relaxing afternoon by the pool inside the cathedral lanai enclosure. Prepare meals in the updated, well-equipped kitchen. Catch a sunset out the front door and settle in for a relaxing evening with a movie, game, or book of your choice.

We are in the midst of a pretty significant renovation in the fall and early months of 2026. Current photos are all prior to renovations, with new photos coming in early spring. Please message if you are interested in the scope and details of the changes.

The pool is heated, open all year, but will likely not keep up with freezing temperatures. You should expect to be able to use it 8-10 months of the year with gaps in the winter months (December and January). The heater is set to 84, and should not be adjusted or tampered with by guests. Service charges will apply if reprogramming is required.
We have a ring door bell and a camera/spot light over both the pool and driveway.
Longer stay? We have discounts for monthly bookings. If you are planning long term, please message and ask so we can block out dates.

Our stay was fantastic. The house is beautiful, very clean, and serene. The host was detailed and helpful. He provided great communication even though we did not need him for a thing. The manual was helpful and we found all we needed to accommodate our trip such as games, pool items, and even bikes if you want to take a peaceful ride. This home is great for families with children as it is very spacious. The heated pool was perfect, with a beautiful screened in patio for relaxing in the evenings. And to our surprise, not one mosquito. Our only regret is not booking for a longer trip. My husband and children all agree we hope this house is avaliable for our next trip.

Great spot for a golf trip

Conveniently located near the Jekyll Island Golf Club, great space for a golf group. The pool is a great addition, particularly after a round of golf.

A Short But Happy Stay

This property has everything you’ll ever need in a vacation rental along with a friendly host who bends over backwards to accommodate his guests. A big beautiful house with a large fenced in backyard. I highly recommend this property!!! 👍👍👍

Fantastic!

Kendall Cottage is exactly what you see in the listing! Spacious, clean, quiet neighborhood, bike paths are very close, the pool is very nice. We had 8 adults together and not once did it feel like we didn’t have enough space! Check in and out were very easy. Host is responsive and made sure we had what we needed. We all loved the place and the island.

New favorite!

We have been going to Jekyll for vacation my whole life and Kendall Cottage is my new favorite rental. The house was spacious and clean, with everything we needed for our stay. The location was private and perfect for all we wanted to do. The owner was more communicative than any other I have worked with. Would 100% recommend for anyone’s memory making trip.

Better than expected

We always expect to have a great time in Jekyll, but this house was even better than we expected! Everything from comfy beds to fun bikes. We opted to stay in for dinner every night because it was so fun for the teens to play in the pool. The game closet was stocked, the beach towels were at the ready, and it was easy to focus on family time. The whole property is very clean and well kept. The pool was perfect for cooling off after long bike rides and beach time. We will definitely keep this house at the top of the list. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Island living at its best!!

My family enjoyed this wonderful home for a full week! The screened heated pool was amazing and the home is comfortably furnished with lots of room for a big family, we were 8 staying. Owner is super friendly and easily accessible for any questions you may have!!

Comfy and Cozy

When we first walked in we felt so home. It was cozy and comfy! We loved all the games in the closet and had a wicked game of Blokus! There are bikes in the garage and we went bike riding one morning. It was also so nice to sit out by the pool at the end of the day and just chill. You won't want for too much when you stay here, as there is plenty provided. Pete checked in with us frequently which was a pleasure. It was a short stay so we did not fully utilize the property but will be sure to rent here again! Thank you Pete for the hospitality!

Kendall Cottage

This home was outstanding. Beautifully decorated, clean, simple, so many rooms and the screened-in pool was just a pleasure. The owner is accommodating and personally answered all of our questions AND took a very quick response to an unexpected plumbing problem. We highly recommend this property.

Golf Buddy Getaway

Four of us guys, who have known each other for 55 years, gathered at Jekyll Island for a weekend golf trip. This house was perfectly located and very nicely appointed for our visit. We will definitely consider a repeat trip there.

Wedding Weekend

Our experience here was wonderful! The house was clean, the kitchen well stocked, and the house was just as listed. The communication with the property owner was excellent, communicating before our arrival, answering any questions during our stay, and communicating at check out. The house was large enough for ourselves and 2 teens, for getting ready for the wedding, and for having a small family gathering afterwards.

I have had a connection to the Golden Isles since the late 70s when my grandparents retired to St. Simons Island. While the area, as a whole, has grown and developed since that time, Jekyll Island has luckily not kept the same pace as the others. In some wonderful ways, it is a bit of a time machine. Purchasing a home here is one of the many steps in my own retirement plan, which may take quite some time to fully complete. As the plan evolves, we plan to share this lovely home with family, friends and, perhaps, you?

Centrally located on the western side of Jekyll we are well positioned for adventures that many miss. The wildlife along the marsh is abundant and often unfearing of us as observers and companions.
