Beautiful views!

Enjoyed the sound of the waves and the view of the ocean. Saw several sea turtles just offshore and whales in the distance. We never needed the air conditioning, but it looks like it needs attention. Enjoyed our stay!

Awesome

We couldn't have afforded a nicer property. The high end.finishes make this a pleasure to stay at. The view couldn't be any better.We saw lots of turtles while relaxing on the Lanai. There is easy access to the water without fighting crowds or parking Kind of like having a private beach. The unit is surrounded by louvered windows but the bedroom has the best room darkening drapes.There is a good grocery store and several restaurants, a bakery,and a McDonald's nearby. Honestly, I don't know what more you could ask for.

Amazing Views in West Maui

I never needed to use the AC because the fans and having the windows and lanai door open to let the cross breeze was HEAVENLY! I enjoyed relaxing on the lanai watching turtles play in the waves below. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe coming & going from this property at all hours of the day. Lonnie was very responsive to any questions or needs. I can't wait to stay again!

We enjoyed watching the turtles from our lanai, and the little beach next door is perfect for a quick afternoon swim. The unit is fully equipped with everything you need, including beach chairs. We had a great time and will certainly return.

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful time. The location is great- awesome views, gorgeous sunsets, a small beach, snorkeling and within walking distance of what you need. Only note is the bedroom is in the back so it gets very warm in the bedroom. The unit has an ac unit which cools down the main room- it just does not reach the bedroom. There are fans to help cook it down though and windows that open. Management was very communicative and easy work with!

No need for AC with the trade winds as long as you open the units windows. Even though it was 80 degrees plus each day. Lonnie was wonderful to work with and I would use her expertise with any other trips we may take. Ocean right at your back door. Loved hearing the ocean all the time. Would be nice if the unit had some boogie boards or pool noodles to use.

Outstanding View

Turtles spent time grazing on the reef just below the lanai during high tide and lots of whale action. We could see spouts and breaching daily. The condo had plenty of towels and some beach chairs as well as a small cooler. The kitchen was clean and had a good supply of cookware. The carpets, sofa, and shower could use a deep clean, however. The bed was comfortable and the property manager checked in a few times to see if we needed anything. She made some lunch and beach recommendations when asked. We would stay here again.

Favorite Location, Not Favorite Unit

This was our 4th or 5th stay at Kaleialoha. We love being on the third or fourth floor where we can sit out on the lanai throughout the day and watch the sea turtles and whales. Even better that is a corner unit. Having stayed in multiple units, #304 seemed the most worn and in need of TLC. Both the carpet and sofa seemed old and in need of deep cleaning or preferably replacement. We were also disappointed that a side chair shown in the photos had been removed with no replacement. One of the features I typically look at when selecting a rental is the quantity and style of seating. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and I appreciate that you can enjoy the view while working in the kitchen. Overall, we know this is an older building and do not expect high end accommodations because the trade off of being truly ocean front, the view of both Lanai and Molokai, the quiet community of Honokawaii and watching sea turtles or whales is worth the trade off. We definitely recommend considering a stay at Kaleialoha but be aware of the pros and cons and your personal preferences.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and service provided was excellent we woke up every morning to the crashing waves and watching sea turtles. We were also able to see whales out in the distance with the binoculars that they provided. There is no air conditioning, however it was not a problem because they provide fans and it never really got warm enough to the point where we couldn’t sleep it was always very comfortable. The only caveat is there is a picture of the bedroom with a TV, however there is no TV in the bedroom. It did not bother us, however if you want a TV in your bedroom this unit does not have one.

LOVED our Kaleialoha Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had prior knowledge of the property from friends who previously owned a unit at Kaleialoha and I've wanted to stay there for years. This was a dream vacation that was everything I hoped for and lived up to all my expectations. Having a condo allowed us to feel like we could come 'home' after a days adventure and relax on the lanai and watch the outdoor activities, including turtles and sunsets!! We did a lot of cooking and take-out, but not any restaurants for dinner because we were always looking forward to getting back to our condo to enjoy the sunsets and evening at home, especially as it was well equipped for cooking. We did enjoy lunches, drinks and snacks at many establishments throughout the island and one evening very much enjoyed a slack key quitar concert up in the Napili area; they also have a small Farmers Market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings which we enjoyed two times.Having the corner unit allowed us to have great ventilation, as we kept the windows and lanai door open the entire time with the ceiling fans always on (at times it would be a bit noisy but that was our choice).The property was clean and well maintained but I did notice a living room chair shown in the picture was missing. I did not inquire about it as it wasn't important to us, and actually forgot about it until I saw the picture in this review, but mention it now in case something in particular reflected in a photo is the deciding factor in renting a particular unit. I spoke to Lonnie with a few questions prior to arriving there and also randomly met her upon our arrival. She is very approachable and helpful and friendly. The property is upper west side so it is always a drive to other parts of the island (and we pretty much drove to all the sites as it was our first stay on Maui), but you can't beat the views and we would stay here again in a heartbeat...absolutely loved it and would hope to stay in the same property, same unit next time!!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was ok! We have stayed there in the past and the unit has gotten worse. The interior has really gotten old, including all of the furniture, appliances, carpet, and the bed for sure. The kitchen has a hodgepodge of eating utensils with nothing matchable. We had to buy wine glasses. In general everything, except the frig, looks and smells old.

Worth it!

Amazing location, house had everything we needed plus more! The kitchen had all the items needed to cook our own meal! Great beach stuff for daily use, amazing view, and saw so much wild life. Love love love this place!

Turtles occasionally swim by in front, and whales were plentiful. The condition of the condo was generally good, everything in the kitchen was functional, and the furniture and bed comfortable.Lovely to hear the waves breaking day and night. Pool was nothing to brag about, But it didn’t matter as we were gone every day on our adventures. I would recommend this condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views in this condo are just spectacular. Getting up in the am to open the doors to a beautiful view was priceless. The condo itself needs a bit of work. The dishwasher has the wrong tray in it so it doesn’t really shut right. The washer abd dryer don’t work well but there is laundry facility downstairs. We found a roach or two but I hear that’s pretty common on the island. The toilets also don’t flush well either that was a bit of a concern while we were there. Overall our stay was great just little things could make a big improvement.
