Beautiful condo with a few problems

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was beautifully furnished and everything worked - except the AC. We understand these things happen but we were without AC for 2 days. Also the hurricane shutters were lying on the balcony and in the way of being able to look directly down - plus sharp edges caught my toes. No recompense was offered for these somewhat minor inconveniences.

I would like my money back

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed @ The Arcadians for about 20yrs.This visit was very very disappointing. The mattress pads on BOTH queen-size beds in the 2nd bedroom had FRESH STRONG-SMELLING URINE STAINS ALL OVER THEM.The couch in the living room ALSO smelled of URINE. BOTH of the toilets stopped up AT THE SAME TIME & I had to unclog them,because there was no after-hrs engineer/housekeeping to address the issue. Security was the only person available to handle after-hrs emergencies,& he seemed to not want to take any responsibility as the only after-hrs emergency person,or even be aware that he WAS indeed the ONLY after-hrs person available to contact in the case of emergency.The sink in the master bedroom sputtered & stopped working the 1st night,then started working again the next morning. The maintenance person came to look @ it the next day,but did not even attempt to figure out why that happened or ensure it wouldnt happen again. The office staff came & cleaned up the mattress pads soaked with urine,by changing the sheets,etc. They said they would consider giving me a refund,but never did. I have reservations in September that I made BEFORE this catastrophic last visit. I want to cancel my reservation,but will forfeit the $150 deposit. I wish I would have never made this trip & woudve gotten more relaxation if I had just stayed home. Also,the icemaker in the refrigerator did not work.

First stay at Arcadian I

My family and I were very pleased with the newly remodeled condo. Everything made it feel like home away from home. Before we left for the week we were already talking about booking for the next year. The premise is clean and all the staff were very friendly. The kids were happy that the pool wasn't over crowded and loved the quick walk to the beach.

Great area and view

The room was comfortable and great area, but in need of update. the carpet was dirty and the bedroom furniture was old. also, the refrigerator had rust all over the outside and needs to be replaced. not sure who the cleaning company is, but we found a deck loaded with sand and cigar butts. I would recomend the area to my friends, but probably not this unit

Close to everything

Private beach, we didn't travel more than 20 mins to any of the activities we chose. Everything was clean. Very pleasant experience. The security was on duty welcomed us each night with a laugh. No second thoughts about staying here again.

Great view of ocean, nice property and amenities

Will definitely be looking at staying here again. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. Permanent residents were nice people. Very convenient to beach and other attractions. The condo was nice, clean, and exactly how described in the listing.

Will stay again!

Great place, great location, amazing views! Everything was as listed and place was very clean. Very spacious and was perfect for our family. Tips: grab beach towels, toilet paper. Paper towels and garbage bags if you are staying for a bit. Also, be careful in the shower as the soap holder is high and right at head level for adults. Two of our adults knocked their heads on it.

Slum Lord of Vacation Property

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I took pictures because I don't think anyone would believe how filthy the place was. There was food on a lot of the knives and dried egg on the spatulas. We ate off of nothing until we washed it ourselves. You pay extra for the view and being able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy it. I would not sit on the chairs they were so filthy black dirty with bird poop on the cushions and so much dirt on the end tables that I would not even sit my drink on them. The glass dining room table was so smeared and smudges it needed wiped off before use. Now let's move to the bathrooms. The guest bathroom has a red rubber band holding the shower head onto the base. There was a high pitch sound coming from somewhere in the master bath and we finally figured out that the faucet was leaking and the handle was making the noise so much so that we had to stuff a wash rag under it to keep it back and not make the annoying noise. It also helped the leaking faucet. The overall appearance was old and sorely in need of updating. We will NEVER be back.

A Perfect Week

The view doesn't get much better. Being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the surf was the cherry on top.

Super disappointed

This condo unit was dirty. There were dead bugs around the perimeter of the floor boards. I never saw a live bug. So that is good. There were spider webs around the ceilings. This place just needs a deep clean and has not seemed to have had one in years. The door to the balcony was not clear and apparently had a broken seal so the door looked foggy the whole time. Master bath did not drain well. Mast sink dripped constantly. The head of house cleaning did come and clean base board area like I asked on the first day. I had to go down to the office 2x to get someone to fix the drain. I waited a couple of days to ask for the 2nd time. They were not able to fix the constant drip. Every time I asked to speak to a manager, there was never one available. On the positive side, the grounds were beautifully landscaped and the beach was awesome. It is within minutes of great restaurants and a Walmart.
