Impresionante casa y ubicación junto al lago Michigan

Aunque no está directamente en la playa, encontrará nuestra casa a un minuto a pie de las 83 escaleras que conducen a los 750 pies de la playa de la asociación. Pero no está limitado a nuestro espacio, puede caminar millas en cualquier dirección. Escucharás las olas, sentirás la brisa y podrás pasear por la playa cada vez que lo desees. La playa es hermosa, el lago es impresionante y las puestas de sol son legendarias.

Ubicado a mitad de camino entre las comunidades junto al lago Silver Lake (Mears, MI) y Pentwater, Michigan, es el Ridge Road Cottage. Excelente para pasar tiempo con la familia, la casa cuenta con una gran sala de estar abierta, cinco habitaciones de buen tamaño, dos salas de estar, tres baños completos y chimenea. También tiene un nido de cuervo que puede actuar como un dormitorio adicional (con un colchón inflable, por supuesto) si es necesario. Tiene un asiento incorporado en la ventana que es ideal para encontrar un lugar tranquilo para leer también.

Estamos cerca tanto de Silver Lake como de Pentwater: a solo unos minutos en automóvil en cualquier dirección te lleva a cualquier lugar.

Great location. Short distance to Pentwater as well as Silver Lale. The best is the very short walk to Lake Michigan and the great private beach. Already looking forward to next year.

Great accommodations for friends and family

Wonderful location to be in the area that we love. Bedroom and bath situation was very accommodating for friends and family. Kitchen had everything needed for long weekend stay. Short walk to beautiful private beach on the big lake!

Great stay

We had an excellent stay here. The only constructive feedback I’d offer is that the host should put instructions on how to operate the basement shower on the wall - we had to contact the host to figure out how to operate the shower. Otherwise, the beds were comfy, the location is great, and the house perfectly accommodated our group. We would definitely stay again!

Annual Michigan family vacation

Property owner quick to respond and very helpful! Home is beautiful and in a great location. Plenty of room for a family vacation. Kitchen well equipped. Beautiful beach within walking distance. We hope to be back again next year.

Loved it!

We had an amazing stay at this Mears property! The house was clean upon arrival and spacious for our family of 10! It was beautifully located, a quick walk away from a private beach on Lake Michigan. The hosts graciously let us check in early and they were easy to work with, will definitely stay again!

Perfect location and home for family vacation

The house was roomy and accommodating. The association beach was wonderful. Even our 4 year old granddaughter handled the 83 steps like a champ. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas that we never ran out of fun things to do. Great place to make memories.

Great property and location

We had a great time at this house. The house itself was clean and had lots of space. We enjoyed the deck almost as much as the house itself with lots of seating and a baby gate at top which was a nice touch. The beach felt very private and was beautiful. The location was very close to many attractions but also felt private. We definitely would recommend this property and stay here again!

Amazing Home

An amazing home with a great location. A quiet neighborhood, steps to Lake Michigan, a few miles away from the dunes and everything that Silver Lake offers. The home was very clean and as advertised. Very well appointed and very comfortable. We will definitely book this home for our next trip to Michigan!

The property location was a less than 10minutes to Silver Lake and about 15 minutes to Pentwater which was great. The walk to Lake Michigan was easy and close by the 80 steps down to the beach were not a problem for us. The steps were newly built and had benches to rest on along the way. The beach was pretty and quiet. We rented a boat at Silver Lake and went out to the sand dunes and spent the day climbing the dunes and in the water. The grandkids loved it. We also spent a day at Lewis Farms and zoo this is an excellent place for kids. The house was very clean which is always my main concern. It was decorated nicely but some of the furniture could use updating. The 2 wicker chairs in the living room were close to breaking so no one sat in them, one of the lamps in the primary bedroom was broke, the couch in the basement was supported by cans. For us if the one TV had been in the upstairs living room would have been better since we liked to all be together when cooking and easier to watch the kids or add another TV, The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had adequate supplies. There was 8 adults and 3 kids and we had plenty of space. used the firepit in the evening. Overall given the location and cleanliness i would not let the needed updates prevent us from staying their again just need to address them,

Family Gathering

Nice large comfortable home and location near Lake Michigan and fun activities at sand dunes ,parks and local towns. there are a lot of stairs that was a challenge for some family members.

Family Vacation

We had a great time. The home was as described, however there was an issue with the main floor sofa(coming apart). However, the owner was very quick in responding and resolving the issue with a new sofa. Definitely would stay again!

Lake Life

Fantastic beach. Great for walking, playing and watching glorious sunsets. Nearby stairs to beach in Cedar Point Park was great for taking down the beach supplies; it’s wide and brand new. Short drive to Silver Lake with all the water toys you could ask for along with sand boards for surfing down the dunes. Near to Pentwater.

Great home for a group near the beach

We loved our stay and the location was fantastic! Mark was helpful and there was clear communication about check-in and what to expect. The only minor critique I would offer is that the rooms on the ground floor were not set up as shown in the photos (they were arranged with one twin and one double bed in each of the two rooms on the ground floor), which was a minor challenge for sleeping arrangements for our group, but it was all good. We really appreciated the kayaks too! We would recommend and definitely stay again.

Good location. 5 minute walk to beach. Deep beachfront, association property. Not crowded even during July 4th week. Home in good condition. Fairly clean. Big deck for everyone to sit. Crows Nest was a hit for 12 year old, who made it "her place". Shower handle in downstairs bath a little loose/hard to turn on/off. Mark the owner was very responsive on texts and emails. His handyman Nick was prompt as well.

Perfect week away!

We had a great time at this house. We had 2 families: 4 parents, 4 teens and 4 aged 7-12, the property set up couldn’t have been more perfect! Bring a sharp knife and some non-stick pans if you’re cooking for a crowd though, the copper bottom stainless is not great for everything and the knives were all incredibly dull. There is a crock pot and a propane grill which made warming and cooking large meals easy. The beds were ok and linens were nice. It was great to have laundry on site too. There’s a nice fire pit and the walk to the beach is great, although there are lots of stairs to get to it. Ample places for everyone to hang out and play games on a rainy day. It was a quick trip up to Pentwater and so fast to get down the Silver Lake and the dunes. We would definitely book this house again!

Hi Charlotte - So glad to hear you had a great time with your family this week. I wish I knew about the knives because I would have had a new set delivered for you. I'll replace those this week. :) Good feedback on the pans too - I will replace those with non-stick as well. The 83-stair bluff there is actually considered a lower-level as some bluffs can be double or triple the stairs - yikes! Anyway, thank you for taking great care of our home and for the feedback. Not well maintained

The house was spacious for a group of 12 people; however, it was not well maintained and was dirty. Missing cabinet in the kitchen, dirty stairs, smelled of mildew and we had to constantly sweep and clean the property just to feel comfortable. They also filled the soap containers with water and the bath towels wet cheap. Aside from the condition of the home the proximity to the beach was great. Just shocked at the price of the home. For that cost I would expect a beautifully maintained property.

We already booked for next year!

Things we loved about this cottage: The kitchen. It had everything we needed and all the equipment was nice. Even a Kitchen Aide mixer is tucked into a closet! Bedrooms. They were big with lots of closet space and hooks. Beds were comfortable. The beach. It was close. The design of the house. There was lots of light. There were separate areas. There was room to be together or apart. The deck was very nice. We were very comfortable in the cottage. Absolutely no stress! If you stay here make sure to go to Silver Lake Dune Climb and then ride across the dunes at Mac Woods. Rent bikes at Country Dairy in New Era and bike the Hart Montague Trail and then have lunch at the Dairy-good food and fun!

Didn't stay even 10 minutes

When we got there, the WIFI was not working, and we had to go back to the main road to get cellular service to contact the homeowner and let him know that the place smelled of mold with high humidity in the house. Two members of our group are cancer survivors, and two others have heart conditions. It was unacceptable to stay in this place as it could have been a potential health hazard. We didn't even stay 10 minutes in this place, before we left! A complete waste of time and a let down for our trip.
