Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect spot for my wife and 2 kids. Conveniently located and steps to the ocean. The complex is not overly crowded so there is always room on the beach and at the pool. The laundry facilities were extremely helpful. The staff were great - especially the night security guard who was the most friendly security guard you'll ever meet. Seemed like daily events were put on by the staff but we were too busy to take part - it was a fun atmosphere but quiet when you wanted to go to sleep.

A very enjoyable get-away from snow and ice

The location of my condo was perfect, the grounds were exceptional and I really enjoyed being able to walk to so many restaurants and stores. Quick and friendly response from staff added to the overall pleasant experience.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Took a week long family vacation to Destin. We like to go to different places every vacation and have stayed in some very nice condos in the past. Silver dunes was just OK was not our first choice but was the ono e I could get for a decent price on a short notice. It was not very clean we pulled out the sofa bed and it still had a fitted sheet on it that was stained. The pool could get a little crowded in the evening but was nice most of the time. The grassy area was nice so the kids could run and play even though we didn’t use it much. Best part was being right on the beach and having a private beach area with a small condo. Everyone loves the beach service but I find it to be pain since I have no need for their chairs all I get to look at is a bunch of blue umbrellas and chairs unless I want to pay a lot of money for someone to set it up for me in the morning.Over all it was a good time for the kids but I would not recommend staying here if you have another option.

The grounds this year were not up to par. The grass was not green and the gardens looked unkempt. Our condo was pretty clean. Was a little upset about not being informed about toilet paper and garbage bags. Also did not know about what to do with dirty towels.

We had a nice stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the condo, it was very clean and comfortable and the beach can’t be beat it is fantastic. We did have a few miscommunications though . We couldn’t get into the gate when we arrived at the condo at 6:30 pm as we were not given the code. In the directions we were told not to arrive until after 4:00 and there was no one in the security booth to let us in. We later found out that they change the code every week which is crazy. Also we were sent an email that if we wanted beach chairs to contact a person about that. Nowhere was it stated that there was a cost. When we arrived at the beach we were told that the cost was $440 dollars for the 2 weeks. It’s $40 a day plus tax. We decided not to do that and went to the store and bought our own chairs. If chairs are not included that should be stated when we rented the condo so we would have known ahead of time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Close as you can get to the beach for a vacation and not break the bank. Remolded units with updated facilities in the unit to meet a family’s need. King size bed and two queen beds. Couch makes a bed but did not use. Plenty of living space to lounge in. Also adequate eating space and large kitchen. Two bathrooms. Sleeps 4-8 easily if you have young kids. Beach staff were very accommodating and were easy to meet our every need.

Walk out to the beach, pool, close to restaurants

This condo is in a good location with walk out to the beach, a nice pool, and close proximity to restaurants and amusement areas. The one thing i would improve is minor but 9 am checkout is a bit early? Thanks!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Silver Dunes since 1976...or atleast my family has been coming for that long. I have been coming for the past 37 years consecutively. I have never been to Destin at the first of the year, in January, but I loved it and will continue to start the new year this way for as long as I can. My husband and I came for a few days just to relax and recharge before starting another year. We loved it and will be back again.
