Orient Bay condo

Beautiful location, great weather and functional kitchen, washer, comfortable bed. There was a strike by the municipal water employees that led to lack of running water for 3 days for the entire French side of St. Maarten but the owner directed us to a rainwater outlet to use instead.

A beautiful paradise on the French side

Amazing view of the beach and ocean from the deck of this cute condo. The people are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

enjoyed and frustrated

Room is as shown by pictures. Furniture is nice and we found the bed to be very comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean. View is good. Room is a bit of a walk from bottom parking lot and plenty of steps to climb for access. Not far from pool, but steps again used for access. Beach chairs/loungers were not present as advertised but were supplied after 5 days time. Wash machine worked fine. WIFI was slow on evenings and weekends. TV is provided using internet access and a number of channels could be accessed. Majority of nights and weekends nothing would download due to buffering issues. Owner and I communicated numerous times concerning this, without satisfactory result. I found this very frustrating as I spent several hours of my own time corresponding with the owner to provide information he requested. Accessing the TV system is time consuming and changing to different shows is time consuming. Both wife and I felt at end of stay that we did not receive what was advertised and the owner should have offered a small refund.

Fantastique!!

We had a wonderful time in St.Martin. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the view of Orient Bay from the balcony is fabulous! We enjoyed 2 weeks of walking the beach and lounging by the pool. Michel and Delphine, thank you for your prompt answers to questions and ease of payment, check-in and check-out. We will definitely return and highly recommend this lovely apartment

Perfect for us

We (Mom and Toddler) stayed 3 weeks at Michel's studio and found it to be perfect for our needs. Michel was excellent and prompt in answering all of our questions that we had previous to our vacation, he even provided suggestions on places to go, advice on transportation and local areas to visit. The studio was immaculate and provided everything that we might need in way of towels, dishes, converters etc.. The wi-fi connection at the studio was reliable and fast, they even have a Roku set up, which we rarely used as the sound from the ocean waves were amazing (but to stream cartoons for the toddler or music at times was a nice benefit). As a single mother, I felt completely safe in this area (they have security on the grounds). The view was most amazing, wonderful for dinners, coffee/wine and relaxing on the balcony. The pool on the grounds look amazing, however we kept busy with the beaches and never really relaxed at the pools. Michel provides a pamphlet on the studio that contains everything that you might need (places to visit and emergency numbers along with many other informational items that were very helpful. There is quite a bit of walking to haul groceries, luggage etc, so I do recommend that you be ready for that (we enjoyed it, walking is always good with the toddlers energy). You have a great view of the ocean from inside of the studio, the view really cannot be beat. Walking Orient beach was wonderful and the little places to eat and drink were fun along the way. I do recommend renting a car to visit all of the island, the driving took a day or so to get use to but absolutely worth it as the island has so many beautiful beaches with each having its own vibe. This location was also so located conveniently to the more calm beaches for swimming and where the ferry/kayak left to go Pinel island (which I highly recommend), however, you still need a car to get there. Overall I would stay at Michel's again, the Studio was perfect, the view stunning and his personal service accommodating and professional!

Fantastique studio très bien situé

11 jours de dolce farniente dans un cadre idéal, mer turquoise, température de rêve. Studio bien équipé et conforme à la description. Le studio avec sa disposition face à la baie à une vue superbe, pas de vis-à-vis et est bien aéré si on préfère couper la climatisation. La piscine est cool, l’endroit est calme mais à proximité de toutes les animations de la baie d’orient donc parfait !

We have fall in love of this marvellous place et we wish you will get the same experience, with the charm of the island, the beautiful white sand beaches, few gastronomic places and very good quality price for local restaurants. For the sports mens (and women), lot of activities are available along the bay shore line and you stay at 10 min, walking by the beach, from the center of Orient Beach and Orient Village.
We go on a regular basis to spent our freetime and during our absence, Delphine will be your hostess. She will welcome and will provide you all the necessary relevant information for your stay and nice things to do during your vacations

Apart from the exceptional view of the sea and the bay, orientation and location of the studio is interesting.
- The orientation relative to the sun, you can benefit from this one from the sunrise in your studio, but it is protected when it is at the zenith.
- The pool is private and reserved for the occupants of the residence. If you prefer sunbathing in the afternoon, the sun by the pool offers deck chairs with cushion and shelter (available free of charge)
This allows both to benefit from all the activity and animation of the beach and nightlife outlets Bay East but also the tranquility of Mount Vernon.
Also in the immediate vicinity (2,5km) you have access to shopping necessities and the best corners of the island for gastronomy (Grand Case)
A 30-minute drive you can go shopping in Philipsburg in duty-free shops or Marigot, or then simply try your luck in the casinos or jiggle you through the southern clubs of the island.
