Great location! Apartment sits above a beachfront restaurant and Tamarindo's commercial strip. Ocean views from the deck. The publicly accessed beach is right outside your door. The location is also in the middle of Tamarindo's restaurants and shops. Perfect place for our family of five (three teenage boys) to drop our bags and take advantage of everything the town has to offer. Property manager and housekeeping were helpful and responsive. The property has a few flights of stairs to navigate and there is some street noise from businesses and traffic due to its central location - but those were a small price for all the other conveniences!

We loved staying here!

We were so pleased with our stay here! The property manager met us when we arrived by taxi to show us around. Everything was clean and operating well including the AC. (We didn't cook at all though.) The location is ideal - on the beach AND in town so we could go to both so easily. And the balcony was a great place for coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening watching the iguanas and hummingbirds. I would definitely recommend this apartment and stay here again.

Great location in Tamarindo

The locarion was great. It was right in the heart of Tamarindo. The place worked well for 3 adults and 2 kids. We saw and heard Howler monkeys each day. It was very close to bars and restaurants on the beach. There was some music at night, but we had no issue getting to sleep. We had a couple small issues and they rectified them right away. I would recomend this place.

Perfect location, incredible support

We had an outstanding experience from the first booking step to the drop-off for the return flight. Dana, the owner, answered my questions promptly and kindly. Alvaro, the property manager, ensured we had everything needed during our stay and arranged airport transfers. And Maria did a great job keeping the place clean. The location is amazing—in the treetops right beside the beach. Wildlife (monkeys, birds, iguanas) all around! The condo is comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed to make our days fabulous. We really enjoyed our week’s holiday here and only wish we could have stayed longer!

The 3 of us really enjoyed our stay. The local store vendors are wonderful and we would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. The handyman-Gabriel was also a delight. Location was amazing! 2 negative points tho, we made some meals and by the end of our week the garbage was pretty full. Also the air conditioner in the master bedroom was not hooked up correctly, and water would rain down on the bed when it began to defrost. Not bad for us, but really bad for the walls and floor. All in all it was what we were looking for. Stanamaria

Hola Marie, Thank you for staying at our place in Playa Tamarindo. We enjoyed having you and your son visit. I am sorry to hear about the garbage, you just needed to let us know and we would have had Gabriel or Mark take it out for you. This is something that we offer and not a problem. As to the a/c unit, I have had it maintained since your visit, so should be fine for future visitors. This time of year it can be very hot, so our units get used constantly and if it is turned to low or if the doors to the to the hall or bathroom are open, it can get overworked. When that happens the drain for the water that condenses gets overloaded. Anyway, thanks for your feedback. You guys are always welcome back for a visit. Take care, Dana

Tamarindo Beachfront

We really enjoyed our stay at Dana's beachfront unit in Tamarindo. Location was great. Being yards from the beach was perfect for our group and being in town made everything easy as well. Alvaro (property manager) was awesome. He was there to help us get checked in and settled and assisted with getting a couple of tours we did set up. The unit was clean, beds nice, and the provided beach towels and chairs were a nice bonus. The only issue we had was that we found the description of the unit to be a bit misleading. While advertised as a "3 bedroom - 7 adults" unit, the base unit is really only 2 bedroom - 5 adults. When booking, Dana offered an additional "private room" to get us enough room to sleep our family of 7. This "private room" was actually the 3rd bedroom. So we ended up short 1 bedroom for our needs, but Alvaro/Dana were able to provide another unit (next door and attached) which saved the day (albeit an additional cost). Again, the place ultimately worked out great for us. Just keep in mind the room situation when booking.

Tamarindo

The property was pretty much as advertised. Convenient location backed up to the beach in Tamarindo. The basic kitchen supplies left something to be desired. Salt, pepper, ketchup, silverware, were either absent or in short supply. The kitchen sink faucet sprayed a leak. The constant locking and unlocking security codes and gate got pretty old. Most important, was the lack of parking. We had to park in the street and pay a security guard to guard the car at night. A maid cleaned every day and the property manager and owner were friendly, available, and helpful. I doubt that I would stay there again.

Perfect location in Tamarindo

I stayed here for 5 night with friends. We couldn't imagine a more convenient stay. The communication with Alvaro was always quick and he even helped us set up an amazing excursion at a local ranch. Steps to the beach and within 30 walk to multiple restaurants. I’m am so glad we chose this condo

Fun and convenient location on beach.

We had a wonderful time in Tamarindo and really enjoyed the beautiful happy hour sunsets at the restaurant Portofino on the lower level of the building. We were there during Xmas break so it was crowded and very loud. I would recommend the place to those looking for a fun vacation to beach, cocktail and go out. Had fun listening to live music at one of several places near by - including one right next door, same building and one just a few mins walk. A few minor negatives - there was no Netflix on the TVs so ended up watching movies on our laptops when we wanted to stay in. The back unit/room is small and the bathroom wall doesn't go all the way to the ceiling and is just inches from your headboard so not much privacy. Bring earplugs.

Perfect location

Possibly the best location on the beach. A few steps to the water. Centrally located to shops, restaurants and cafes. You will love the location. Mark (the property manager) was wonderful and responded to our needs quickly. He gave great suggestions for restaurants and activities, and set the tone for a good time right from the start! Tamarindo itself is awesome. Surfing for all levels, wonderful beach cafes, lots of live music. We will be back!

There is just nothing like it in Tamarindo. It is a special little hidden gem in the heart of the town and directly on the beach. If you want to be close to everything, you cannot beat our place.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We had the ability to take a space that was essentially unconstructed and turn it into our home at the beach. We like the beach cottage look of Southern California and modeled the space to emphasis the indoor outdoor lifestyle. It has high ceilings, straights lines and a clean finish. Simple but with some accents and personal touches. Sitting in the hammock on the baloney and reading a book is just the best way to relax and watch the sunset.
