We loved the location, the pool and the sunsets in the evening. Perfect week get away with family. The house has spectacular views and it was so enjoyable and super clean. Thank you! Lots of memeories made while there.

Perfect stay!

We all really enjoyed staying at this beautiful property. Great location close to everything! The bikes and kayak were so much fun to use. We came with our young adult children and there was plenty of room.

Great Vacation

All six of us really enjoyed our stay. The property manager and owner were both easy to communicate with and deal with. The property was beautiful and easy access to grocery stores. We will definitely come back. We had no issues and loved it there.

Beautiful

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great sunset views! Great for 3 couples to stay.We even had a manatee visit one day. Boat lift was great to have to make it easier for seniors to get in and out of the boat. Also was good to have as it was very windy one day. The pool was nice for a group of friends, we paid extra to have it heated.

February Keys

The area is amazing. The views are breathtaking. The property needs a major refresh. The cleaning people need to pay attention to some of the really dirty areas. The property manager is non existent.

Great Location!!

This property is a great location, if you want to enjoy all of the keys! Fishing off the dock was awesome! We saw a manatee that frequently passed by as well as several nurse sharks, barracudas, snappers, and an angelfish (all from the dock). The pool was cool and refreshing to just lounge in (it is small). The house is clean and comfortable! The 2 decks allow outdoor eating, lounging, and enjoying the sunsets! The beds were comfortable as well.

Amazing!!

This place was exactly what it said. We saw all kinds of fish, lobster, a few eels and nurse sharks right off the dock. The only issue was the ladder is a little narrow it get the kayaks up and down but with two ppl it was no problem at all. We paddled around the area almost every day we were there. And the sunsets were incredible! The 7 mile grill at the end of the road has a great broiled seafood platter too! The house had everything we didn’t think to bring plus a few extras. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking!

Nice location but aging property

The views are good and easy access to most things. Went to Key West a couple of days. The pool leaks so you have to refill it; makes paying extra to heat it really a waste. Kitchen has a few basic pans but can’t cook too much. Place smelled really musty but we were able to get some air freshener which helped a lot. Overall decent but don’t expect luxury.

Dear Vickie, I'm glad you had a good time. It is a cute unit with great views and sunsets, immediate Gulf access for boating and the 7-mile bridge is within view and, for open water, a great price. everything was great. the boat lift electrical cord was defective and needs to be replaced

great view, home well equipped, bikes were new and we were able to ride them onto the bridge, the boat lift electrical cord/ receptical needs to be replaced (it needed 2 people to work the plug and remote) to raise and lower the boat.... which is a easy fix.

lies of omission

The house would have been nice if we hadn't had construction noise and smell from both sides of the house. The owner(realty company) Kitty Whalton claimed no responsibility in not informing us of the constant construction noise on new homes being built, which prevented us from using the outdoors all day from Monday thru Friday. This has been going on for several months and should have been disclosed in the listing. She offered no compensation for lack of use of the porches and pool. We are highly dissapointed and want future renters to know about this!

Great location, but the house needs work

The good: -location is amazing -house layout is great with plenty of space -the property manager is very responsive and willing to help in any way possible The bad: -The house need a major cleaning like other guest reviews have said. Dirty shower curtains, dust coming out of the AC vents and on the walls, and the house has a very musty smell (especially in the closets). The property managers tried to address this for us with a dehumidifier and replacing the AC filter, but the house just needs a major cleaning. -The kitchen is very understocked, so don't plan to cook any big meals. There was not even a chopping knife and most of the non-stick pots are rusty Overall we had a good vacation and enjoyed the location of the house being right on the water. It's just a shame that the owner won't spend the money to do some necessary cleaning / updates, as this could easily be a 5 star property.

Beautiful Spot

We had a lovely stay at this vacation property. It was easy to get to and just a short drive to all the amenities needed. I do have a few items which I would like to point out for the property owner which could improve on future guest stay. My suggestions are not to dissuade anyone from a rental because we really enjoyed our time on this property. 1. Please can you change the towels in the house. They are no longer white and the facecloths and handtowels are showing their age and repeated use. 2. The shower curtain backing in the main upper bedroom needs to be replaced along with the shower curtain hooks which are rusted. 3. Personally I am not a fan of sleeping under a quilt or comforter, as I have no idea when it was last cleaned. Could the owner consider a different way to dress the bed. How about removable duvet covers? Yes, it adds to the laundry at on departure day. Upon my departure, I left the quilts, except one, out on the deck to air them out and get sun. The one I brought in go the morning sun for a few hours. So -- my suggestion would be to ditch the comforters and use a duvet insert and duvet covers. 4. Its time for new patio chair cushions. 5. The pool tiles (there are just a few) can easily been reattached. So easy it just needs to be done 6. The fish table on the pier needs the faucet reattached. Again, super easy but it just needs to get done. We had a lovely time at this rental. *We had the pool heat turned on and it was lovely.

Great stay in Marathon

Loved the configuration of the home, the location and the views. Home is oceanfront so we were able to fish right from the dock. Unfortunately, most of the ceiling fans didn't work, that was disappointing. Other than that.... It was an awesome stay for 5 adults...

Birthday Trip

Overall we had a great week here. Pros - The view was amazing. The location was convenient. We had everything we needed. Cons - really needs to be deep cleaned. Moldy shower curtains. Dirty walls (tons of lint/fuzz under air vents). Disgusting baseboards. Dust on the top of all of the dressers and headboards. Lots of burned out light bulbs. 2 of the bikes had issues with the front tires (there was a note in the cabinet downstairs about a bike shop, but honestly who wants to take time out of your vacation to take someone else's property to be repaired.) - I would stay here again for the location and views alone, but I would have managed expectations for the other issues.

Girls trip

We came the week after hurricane Ian and we were happy to see no damage to the area. The house has a great view of the gulf and the 7 mile bridge. There are alot of steps so if climbing is a problem I would not recommend. The place could use a good deep cleaning. Baseboards, ceiling fans, carpet cleaning and walls washed down. We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay there again.

Decent stay

Overall had an enjoyable time however there were a couple things that definitely needed to be addressed. First of all they had a service guy come in to replace a water heater while we were there. Which totally could have waited. The kitchen was somewhat under stocked and the place could use a deep cleaning. The dryer broke while we were there but they did have it repaired in a timely manner which was nice. The view was amazing so overall was a good time but the water heater was a bit of an inconvenience. Still as of yet the owner has not reached out to see if there is anything they could do.

Great fishing but I would not stay again.

There are quite a few things that I want to touch base on with this rental property. 1. The pool light did not work at all. Seems like the bulb was blown. We were unable to locate any switches that would operate the light for evening use. 2. The bed frame in the second floor bedroom is broken. The top left hand corner of the frame was broken and bounced. My daughter had to sleep with her feet at the head of the bed to be comfortable. 3. The microwave would beep constantly. We had to keep a few seconds on the timer so that it would stop beeping or just unplug it from the cabinets above. 4. The water pressure was horrible. At times I did not even have enough water while huddled under the faucet with a wash cloth. I though that maybe it was because the family next door might be using the water as well but when I asked them they did not have water pressure problems. 5. The dryer needed to run the same small load 2 times or more to get the clothes/towels dry. 6. The toilet seat in the 3rd story master bathroom was broken. The handles on all 3 toilets needed to be "jiggled" to keep them from running. 7. The ladder on the dock was not bolted down. Difficult to use. 8. There was a leak in the pool. We needed to keep adding water with the hose each morning. There were cracks and leaks. 9. The carpet had stains throughout the unit. 10. The unit as a whole seemed rundown. Could use a full remodel and deep scrub. 11. The bait freezer on the bottom floor stinks. I understand that it is for bait but it either needs to be bleached and scrubbed or replaced. When we opened it the smell was so horrible and the smell traveled all the way up the to the top of the unit. 12. The kitchen had a small supply of basic dishes. The pot holder were hold and stained as well. The location on the water was fantastic and there was plenty of fishing. There was a lot of good food locations around as well. I did find it a bit frustrating that the agreement required the renter to clean all of the laundry, bedding, towels and rugs prior to leaving at the end of the trip. I did not have a refunded able fee and felt that if there is a cleaning fee I should not have to be required to clean all of the linens in the unit. I usually strip the beds and make piles but this seemed a bit excessive.

Would stay again!

Cons: really needs a thorough cleaning. Pros: really great for larger groups. It is a duplex so be you have visible neighbors but we still felt privacy. The pool is the perfect size for cooling down after a hot day. Great fishing and lots of sea animals to see! Our group would definitely stay again!

Stay in Marathon

Our week in Marathon was wonderful. Property was nice and spacious. Lots of beaches in the area and plenty of things to do. Driving into the property was a bit questionable at first with the neighborhood but once you get to the property it was great. And the neighborhood ended up being nice and quiet. Only complaint I would have is the place could use a deep clean. Looks like it has just been a quick clean between renters. Rugs,vents,ceiling fans were pretty dirty. Little tlc and it would be great. But other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.
