Unidad de piso superior directa frente al mar! Las increíbles vistas del océano y las puestas de sol se pueden disfrutar desde la sala de estar y la cocina totalmente equipada. El lanai extra grande privado ofrece una mesa grande con 4 sillas y dos tumbonas para relajarse y disfrutar de las vistas. La unidad está equipada con aire acondicionado y para ahorrar energía, se coloca en un temporizador de 4 horas. Los ventiladores de techo y una lavadora / secadora se suman a la comodidad y conveniencia de esta unidad de lujo. El dormitorio ofrece una cama king.

El complejo ofrece una piscina frente al mar, spa y zona de barbacoa. Convenientemente ubicado a poca distancia de Kona Town, que ofrece tiendas, restaurantes, puestos de actividades y Aloha a lo largo del camino. Honl Beach está a pocos pasos del complejo, una zona popular para hacer bodyboard o surf, o es ideal para un picnic por la tarde si tiene la relajación en mente.

Kona Vacation

My family enjoyed our stay here. We chose a room with the balcony facing the water and it was fabulous. My teens shared the pull out sofa bed. The kitchen was well equipped and there were even full ice trays in the freezer. We explored the rocks and small tide pools right in front of the rental and also enjoyed the pool.

Great views and very comfortable

The condo is clean and comfortable with great views of the ocean . We especially enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon sunsets on the lanai. Location is great--close to town and right next to a nice sandy beach. As other reviews have noted, the AC can be a bit loud at times, but overall this was a great place to stay and we would definitely return.

Hawaiian paradise

This is the best location! We loved staying at Kona Reef. The pool was wonderful and there is an actual sandy beach next door. Walked to Ali'i to eat and shop daily. Overall it was wonderful!

Post wedding week for relaxation

Our son got married in Hulialai the week prior, my wife and I wanted a week to relax and recover. This unit was immaculate, well stocked, with an incredible view. We have stayed at Kona Reed many times, the property is nice, with great amenities and close to town. We look forward to coming back next year!!

Time for new bed in master. Internet worked fine but tv was a pain until we used our own subscription. Just clean enough. Back of stove hadn't being wiped clean for awhile. Nice easy walk to village. Parking was fine. Condo was easy to find. Awesome susets.

Surprisingly Unexpected

An example of why surprisingly unexpected - spilled some pineapple on the floor and when I wiped it up there was NO dirt on the towel....just yellow pineapple juice. There were extra towel sets and sheets, when speaking with another couple they were not provided these amenities. The beach towels were 4 even for 2 of us and they looked like new.

Magnificent sunsets

This unit has jaw dropping sunset views that we enjoyed nightly. Even though we stayed in it in December, weather was quite warm (85 degrees) so having A/C and ceiling fans was delightful! It was our first visit to Big Island so having concierge to help us book luau and parasail was very helpful. Had I known that parking pass to Volcano National Park was good for several days, we would have planned to visit twice (day trip and night trip). There was so much to explore! We will be back for sure. The only negative was upon arrival to the unit, we were greeted with horrible stench of rotting fish. We called property management who returned our call right away. However, since it was a Sunday evening no one could come til the next day to resolve it. We couldn't stand the smell so we investigated ourselves and and found that the smell was coming from garbage disposal. We went to Walmart and purchased cleaner and did 3 treatments to remove the smell ourselves. No one ever got back to me. We the sound of ocean waves.

Excellent location and views- there are stairs

Let me start by saying we would stay here again in a heartbeat. My husband and I have been a Kona a few times and this is by far our favorite property so far. Just a fair warning, there are a minimum of nine stairs to get into the condo. They do have an elevator, but it stops between floors so you have to use stairs to get up to your floor. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it could be for somebody else. That being said, the location is excellent, and so are the views. The management company was a dream to work with and communicated every last little detail to us. If you have never stated in Kona, this is the best place to go because it’s within walking distance to everything downtown. we found the description and details of the unit to be accurate so I’m only including pictures of the view in my review.

Disappointed

This condo had glowing reviews and listed a concierge on site. When we arrived, the person in the office said she didn't think the condo was "one of theirs". After difficulty figuring out how to park, we got in the nice, clean, but tired looking condo. Very minimal amenities and the deck was filthy. Had to clean it myself. Pool was closed as listed, but they didn't say they were breaking up the cement (very loud) around the pool. Also, received notice while we were there that they were turning the water off for one day, which was not in the listing. Person I called was rude and offered no assistance. It was decidedly inconvenient. No recompense for our inconvenience. The oceanfront was almost ruined by this. Never met one person associated with the listing. We have stayed in many VRBOs and this was the least. I don't think they deserve a Premiere listing.

Nice “extras” we didn’t expect

Did not expect there would be beach chairs and umbrella, and coolers to use. Owners thoughtfully provided extra plug ins for our gadgets, and high quality binoculars to use. Gorgeous sunsets every night.

Long awaited retirn to the REEF

The complex has long been our "go to" property in Kona due to it's location and overall comfortable vibe. Having stayed in a variety of units over the tears we found A36 to be one of the cleanest and for the most part well maintained. It has a slightly older feel than some of the more updated units, but what is there is very well maintained. The only issues where one bedroom light that didn't work (an obvious victim of salt air and time), the other issue was beyond the owners control. Someone in a lower and/or adjacent unit choose to smoke an inordinate amount of pot, multiple times a day. The sickening odor would drive us back into the unit, behind closed doors until the smoke session was over. Aside from that, the ocean front, top floor location cannot be beat. If you are looking for a laid back, clean and simple property, the Reef is it and A36 is a keeper.

Enjoy The Time Spent

We have spent time at other nearby properties with direct “connection” to the view of the ocean. Having our breakfast and many dinners served on the lanais made it even more special as we we watched the ocean. We love to fish, and what is better to have a kitchen to make meals from that had most of what we needed.

Lovely fourth floor condo with great view

Lovely fourth floor condo with great view. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The condo was very clean and tidy. The Wi-Fi worked well and allowed us to connect home reliably. The king size bed is in a back bedroom so the surf sound was slightly muted but still lovely to fall to sleep to.

Beautiful View

The condo was very cute. Loved having my coffee on the large lanai every morning. The only problem was that the bedroom did not cool off in the evening. The air conditioner in the living area did not reach the back bedroom and it was super warm back there. The weather was very warm while we were there. Other than that, it was very nice and we enjoyed it very much.

Great view and location

Short walk to town. The unit is as advertised in terms of the view and being right on the beach, (lava). We could watch the surfers right in front. Great lanai. It is a small unit, in spite of the couch being a hide-a-bed it would not be comfortable for 4. Although the building is well maintained it is dated. Very noisy air conditioner in the living room wall that vents onto the lanai hence if you are sitting on the lanai, unless you love the sound of noisy machinery, you will want to turn off the AC. To keep the bedroom cool you will need to leave the door open and listen to the AC all night. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom that may keep it cool enough for you depending on how cool is cool enough, i.e. around 77 - 80 degrees without AC on. Based on the price we paid, the location, and the view we felt it was an excellent value. Easy parking. Best food and Mai Tais are at Hugos, 5 min walk. They do not take reservations but they will text you when your table it ready.

Lovely stay

Not only is the view from the lanai absolutely amazing, but the condo is too. The decor and furniture were in good condition and they maintain the property well. The check-in book on the table was filled with helpful information along with some funny info on island insects. Only issue that was minor was that the a.c. unit is in the living room, so night time the bedroom got pretty warm. That definitely would not stop us from booking here again. Five stars for sure.

Amazing view and great location

Would stay here again.* Views of the ocean waves, yellow tang, and green sea turtles every morning. Easy 5 minute walk to town for coffee. Easy access to the highways to venture north or south. *Would opt to come here at a cooler time of year since the bedroom took many hours to cool down at night. The airflow just struggles to get back there. There are plenty of fans to use so I'm sure many are fine (I just need less noise to sleep). FYI there is recycling only for plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and glass bottles (located near the dumpsters). For cardboard or composting you would need to take it to a facility off-site.

We loved our time there for our 50 Anniversary. Loved to sit on the Lanai and have our coffee,

It's a little awkward getting your bags from the elevator to the unit, but the view (like I said) made it worthwhile. Our internet was down but it was fixed the same day. A little dated inside, snorkeling bag zipper is rusted closed - no big deal. Clean, neat, nice.
