Esta es otra cabina de luna de miel que duerme 2-4 personas. Cuenta con una cama king size y un sofá cama. También cuenta con bañera de hidromasaje, TV, Dish Network, reproductor de DVD, parrilla de carbón, mesa de picnic, herraduras y columpios. La cabina tiene una cocina completa y está completamente amueblada. Tiene una gran cubierta y un balcón. Servicio de internet inalámbrico disponible en la cabina.

The cabin was clean and in a great location by the lake. I chose it over other options because the listing mentioned a hot tub, which was actually a bathtub with jets. WiFi info wasn’t provided at check-in, but the host responded the next day and noted the listing would be updated. Aside from those issues, the stay was nice.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was fine except the spiral staircase. My wife and I are senior citizens and it was a little tough with luggage. But I got it all done. It would just be nice for others to beware of that one issue before they book. Aside from that we had a great time.

Quiet Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a beautiful location! We had a 2 night stay in Steen for a wedding on site. I’ve never been to the area so was quite surprised by the beauty of the lake, the grounds, and WOW! do they have log cabins. Steen had everything we needed for our short stay. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed to make breakfast. Kuerig and coffee pot but I forgot the coffee. A short walk to the office and we were greeted by friendly staff and a cup of coffee. The events building had a rustic elegant charm and was a perfect fit for the character of the bride and groom. I hope I have the opportunity to come back for another stay.

Rustic Log Cabin. The Steen

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Likely my fault for not noticing the metal spiral stairs to reach upstairs bedroom and downstairs living room. Which is very inconvenient to carry anything up or down. Stairs are VERY small and dangerous to navigate. Cabin is very drafty and had to set heat to 83 to keep chill out. Parking is 75 yards away, and it’s squeekier than a 100 year old cabin in Colorado. Lastly, water pressure was so low in shower I had to run around in a circle to get wet. Cannot recommend this cabin, however rest of property and staff are great.

A beautiful general area and a not so practical cabin

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for two nights, arriving late to attend a weekend wedding. Since the office was closed when we arrived and we were leaving early Sunday morning, it didn’t make sense to request a room change the next day. Here were the main issues:1. The narrow spiral staircase was hazardous for children and elderly guests, and inconvenient for everyone else.2. Oak trees over the tin roof made screeching noises every time the wind blew, as the branches scraped against it in the middle of the night making sleeping impossible..3. The one closet had no hangers.4. Bring your own coffee.5. The water pressure in the shower was just a trickle because the water heater is on the first floor.Thankfully, the wedding was fantastic—otherwise, this could have been a very unpleasant trip.The larger units seem to be ok.

Clean and Relaxing

Cute Cabin with a Great View!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This one-bedroom cabin (The Steen) was perfect for our Anniversary get-away! We loved sitting on the balcony watching boats go by, kids swimming, and we also saw turtles and fish swimming too. We liked that our cabin was within walking distance to the office, commons area, and beach where we launched out in kayaks for a relaxing paddle through the cove.When it got too hot outside, we enjoyed watching movies in the living room on the first floor. The couch was even long enough for my 6-foot-tall husband to stretch out on, while I enjoyed the rocking recliner. The small kitchen on the second floor was plenty big for the 2 of us. The bedroom being on the 3rd floor made it feel like we were sleeping in a treehouse - so fun! It was a bit of a challenge getting our luggage up and down the steep, tight spiral staircase, but we managed. FYI, this cabin would not be good for someone with knee-trouble, since the bathroom is on the third floor.All the staff and other guests were very friendly and the entire resort was so beautiful and well-kept. We would like to come back and bring our whole family.

It was so well-maintained, clean, cute and right on the water. We loved it. We are in our mid 70s and it was fine with the corner staircase. Just watch that last step into the kitchen. Ha ha.

A Nice Getaway Spot

We were here on weekdays in the off season, so there were very few people at Log Country Cove. It was quiet and there was no problem getting kayaks, etc. The cabin is very clean and well maintained in general. The lock on the door to the outside is a bit tricky and often required a few attempts to get it open. The spiral staircase is about as narrow as one can possibly be, so it helps to be a narrow person when climbing it! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. We plan to return!

We Loved The Steen!

The main thing that sticks out in my mind is how everyone of the staff that we came in contact with was so friendly and helpful. We visited Crazy Gals Cafe in Kingsland for an awesome breakfast. We spent a day at Inks Lake State Park and Longhorn Cavern State Park. We also had an awesome Sunday snack at Torr Na Lochs Vineyard and Winery. We will definitely be staying at Log Country Cove again.
