Quick stop in the Keys

Wanted to try something different so decided to stay in the houseboat this past weekend. Was fun and different and located close to so many great restaurants and things to do in Islamorada. The Marina has a great outside bar and food truck and a nice pool. Overall a terrific weekend!

Treat ya like family.

Lourdes was a gem to work with! The moment we walked in she made us feel right at home, so do the people that stay on the boat full time. We saw about 5 manatees right in front of our boat, and about 4 nurse sharks. Absolutely amazing! The price was very reasonable. Nothing fancy. We did pull the mattresses off the loft to make the couch more comfortable. The dolphin is a good fit for 4, I wouldn't exceed that. The only kicker is you can't blow dry your hair in the boat cause it will trip the panel but we made out well otherwise just know that going in. We enjoyed our stay as we island hopped daily and this was our central location.

Perfect little house boat!

If you’re looking for a unique place to stay in the keys then don’t hesitate to book The Dolphin. It’s clean, has all the essentials and is close to some great snorkeling, diving, kayaking, fishing and restaurants! We loved spending time on the top deck of the house boat and even had a manatee visit us one afternoon! We look forward to staying here again!

Fun spot to stay for a few nights. Actually a little bit bigger inside than it looks in the pictures. Kids loved it.

Perfect Floating House

Have you ever wanted to stay on a floating house? This is the perfect opportunity to try it! This little house had everything that my husband and I needed to enjoy our day trips to the other Keys. We did enjoy sitting on the patios in the early mornings to enjoy the wonderful views. During the day, we went exploring to the other Keys for breakfast, shopping, stopped off at Bahia Honda Park for beach time and late lunches. In the evenings, the bar in the Marina was hopping with a fire pit and music. They did turn off the music around 11. I do recommend having Dramamine on hand incase the winds pick up and it is rough. This only happened for a few hours one night, but I wish I had something to help me. I highly recommend this for two adults and maybe smaller kids that could use the loft. If we go back to the Keys for vacation, we will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location and wonderful staff.

The Dolphin sits on the end corner of a pier. We had a view of boats coming and going A great view of several house boats parked across the bay. It was so relaxing. It was quiet, a slow time so not many other renters around us. And Key Largo and Tavernier were not congested The sunset was beautiful from the upper deck and the lower deck provided shade in the heat of the day. It was picturesque all day but especially as the moon was a beautiful backdrop of the boats in the marina. We spotted what looked like a white bottle cap and at closer inspection it was a tiny jelly fish. We also saw anemones that look like cauliflower from the lower deck. We checked out a few local restaurants hidden off the main road. We will debate be back to explore more of the keys.

Awesome Stay!

My wife and I started our honeymoon off staying in the Dolphin. It is a great place!! We loved every bit of it. The marina also has a tiki bar and food truck that has amazing food. We will definitely be back

Honeymoon Stay

My son and his bride stayed for their honeymoon. They said the view was spectacular! Sitting in the chairs at night looking at the stars. The glass bottom was awesome, always fish to see. Check in was a breeze. When they checked out they were told the get a discount to come again. My son said they will be planning to come back!

Houseboat Experience

Nice place to relax on vacation. Nice friendly Working Boat Marina .. A few hangers and a K-Cup coffee maker would be a plus plus.. Overall this spot is Solid!!!

A nice stay in a beautiful location

Spent a week on the boat and enjoyed our time. The view from the lower and upper deck was wonderful. Saw dolphin swim by one AM with coffee. Property clean. Bathroom adequate. Waves were worse first nite and wife felt seasick but rest of week was calm. Being at end of peer have more wide open feeling with better views. Much to do in area with good restaurants within 10-15 min drive.

The houseboats are so much to stay in. Our grandchildren loved the roof top decks, and the lofts. They are extremely clean and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.

We've been wanting to stay on a houseboat for years and finally did it! This was really great. Location was perfectly centered for all of our planned activities and some very good restaurants. It was comfortable and had very nice views, specially from the upper deck. You must remember it is a houseboat and not a Ritz. There is a little rocking when the wind is blowing. During one good blow I was walking to the kitchen and started wondering if my wife had secretly spiked my drink because I felt unsteady. Then I just laughed and remembered I was on a rocking boat. We will be booking again.

Anniversary Getaway

We had a great time. The houseboat was perfect. There needs to be a better accommodation for hairdryers. 1 outlet in a room across the parking lot without air conditioning is inconvenient and a hassle. The shower rooms with outlets would have made this more tolerable and would have given 5 stars across the board.

Situated on the waterfront, we are only 60 miles from Miami, 8 miles from Key Largo and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, 10 miles from Islamorada, the “Fishing Capitol of the US” and the Theater of the Sea Marine Mammal Park and scenic drive south on Overseas Hwy, 90 miles to Key West visiting the southernmost point of the US and the famous Duval Street and all of the activities.
