Tranquil escape

Beautiful property and well kept grounds. Quiet and tranquil setting with close proximity to lake Ontario. Easy water and boat access with included private dock. Well appointed cottage. Great deck overlooking the bay and rear of property.

The place was extremely clean, very well stocked. Enjoyed the deck and sitting outside. The pictures are definitely what the house looks like. I was very impressed with how it was. Stayed at other places and was nearly as stocked w cleaning products, everything for cooking, coffee maker, toaster and so much more! Air conditioning worked great and lots of fans also! Would definitely stay here again and recommend staying here! Thank you both for such a lovely and peaceful getaway and of course great memories!

Quaint, clean, well stocked, quiet. Little crowded with furniture. I slept on futon because it was cooler on porch. Futon could use more filling. Back deck was very nice. What was the purpose of the black tarp in the water?

Great relaxing getaway

Loved the place. Great landscaping. Views from the sunroom and deck were so nice. Ample space for the four of us. Nice layout. This side of the island is definitely the "quiet waters" side and I was thankful for that. Dock was perfect for our small boat and we enjoyed the supplied kayaks. I would rent again.

Best kept secret on LeRoy

The Quiet Waters cottage was a perfect fit for my family! We had other family members staying on LeRoy Island and around Sodus Bay this week. The location was perfect, it was clean, quiet, and had everything you would need to make your home away from home perfect! Thank you! We will rent again!

Great place

Had a good time. Alot of seaweed at boatdock so had to put boat in marina since seaweed kept getting in prop. House was just as advertised. Clean and everything we needed. Host answered all are questions within the day. Thank you

Quiet Waters Family Cottage

Wonderfully quiet break. The cottage was comfortable for 3 adults and had all the basics. The dock, kayaks and deck were relaxing and very nice. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, cooking utensils etc. No bed linens - not a huge deal unless you are traveling from outside the country. Which unfortunately we did. So buying sheets and comforters adds to the cost of a vacation. This would have been good information to have beforehand. All in all the cottage was comfortably put together, quaint and relaxing.

Couldn’t ask for more

Where do I start…. The communications back and forth with the owners was way better than any other owners we have worked with. They truly wanted us to have a great experience. Next, I don’t think the photos do the place justice. It’s a very nice and comfortable place. The dock is really nice and setup nicely for a boat or just to enjoy. One of the nicer docks I have had to use for my boat. Finally, do to a weather related emergency at home we needed to leave early. I informed the owners that we needed to leave and they refunded me for the day. I never asked for that, who does that??? Top notch vacation rental and owners.

Perfect cottage in a quiet spot

This cottage was perfect for our family stay of 3. It was clean and had all the amenities. It's just what you'd expect for a vacation cottage. We especially loved the deck. We had perfect weather and the deck is mostly shaded all day with a lovely view of the water. We spent much time relaxing there. We really enjoyed the firepit at night too. It might have been as many kids went back to college, but we felt we were all alone on the island! We had no neighbors out and and about at all. It was very peaceful. It was great to bring our kayaks and launch off from the dock. Although, a boat would be better. The shore is not ideal for launching kayaks though. Very mucky so you need to step in from the dock. Overall, we loved the little cottage. The only downside is that the shower stall is very tiny and hard to move around in, but it's what you'd expect in a more modest cottage vacation home. And the bed in the bunk room could do with a new mattress that is more comfortable. Our son loved sleeping on the comfy futon in the living room. It's a lovely property and great area to go hiking the chimney bluffs, kayak, or tour the finger lakes. The owner was very responsive before and during our stay. Not much in the way of good restaurants just off the island or nearby, so plan to bring your own food. There is a grill on the deck, although we didn't use it.

Quaint Cottage with Impeccably Caring Owners!

Our 4-night stay at this little cottage was wonderful. It is well maintained and no attention to detail has been overlooked. The driveway is grass and stops at the very large storage shed/carriage house. The cottage is nestled behind here under large, beautiful trees. It was raining when we arrived, and walking through the grass from our vehicle to the cottage did get our feet a bit wet. However, our luggage was easy to transport since the thoughtful owners keep a large wagon parked under a tree for guests to use. Once inside, the cottage has a nostalgic charm to it. The décor is dated in some aspects, but efforts have definitely been made to update several key areas. The original flooring and details of the home make for pleasant surroundings. There is a wood-framed screen door which opens to the deck, and every time we opened it, its creaking sound brought back pleasant memories of days gone by. There are 2 bedrooms that are very small but functional, and there is plenty of floor and counter space in the bathroom. The standup shower allows enough room for an average size person to shower. The kitchen is well equipped and has a standalone island for extra counter space. The most charming aspect of this home envelopes you when stepping out back on to the beautiful deck. There is an incredible view of the water, several docks and boats, the gorgeous trees that have been in existence for eons, and the beautiful flowers and plants that encompass the entire cottage and property. One of my teenage kids read an entire book while relaxing in a chair on the boat dock or on the papasan chair in the sunroom! Another golden gem of this property is the opportunity to use the 2 awesome kayaks and gear. The views and tranquility from the water were astounding! Another treasure of this cottage is its location. There is no feel whatsoever of being a tourist since many of the people we talked to while walking around the island have lived there for years or even decades. They were all very friendly and talked fondly of their love for the area. Finally, the homeowners are the nicest, most considerate people you could ever imagine! We had a few questions before arriving at the cottage and a few during our stay, and Andy was readily available to answer them. They even have a journal in the cottage where guests can record their thoughts/ponderings to share with others. Staying at Quiet Waters was a memory my family will treasure forever!

Perfect for cozy family fishing retreat. Updates since our last visit were all great. We love playing board games at night and working on the puzzles provided by the host. My son loved the futon with the view of the sunrise over the lake.

Slow Down and Relax

Quiet Waters is perfect for two and a cozy but adequate place for more. We had a family property on nearby Eagle Island dating from the late 1950's and it was nice to return to the area. Unlike many nearby properties that have had major upgrades, QW retains rustic charm. Waterfront activity requires a 100-step walk down the grassy slope. The water view from the deck or first inside room are interesting to a patient viewer who enjoys watching the Heron and Osprey score food in different ways. QW would not be ideal for hyperactive water sports enthusiasts but it sure makes a nice getaway for those of us who need to slow down.

Loved our stay!! Cleaning company didn’t make it in between visitors. I mentioned to owners and they gave us one day of our money back. Quick response and apologies from the property manager. Had a ball!

2nd year for us

This was our second year staying here for a week. We really enjoy the area and the cottage. The new dock is very nice. Great week with lots of boat use swimming at the sand bar and fishing out on the lake. Water level is low this year but manageable.
