house has a musty odor, perhaps to be expected in NC. Furniture needed dusting. dishwasher held unwashed dishes dirty with food some of which was moldy. Clothes washer reeks of mildew. downstairs toilet was dirty. no answer when we called to complain. avoid this place if possible.

Reviewer Comments: This condo (our second time there) is in a lovely quiet part of Pinehurst, suitable for walks and sitting outside among the trees. However, it is sometimes not easy to get into or out of the area on to the 15/ 501., The condo is very well equipped and roomy. I’d like to see a newer dining room table and chairs and cushions for the outside chairs. Older folks would appreciate having safety bars in the showers. The bed in the master bedroom is a bit high but manageable with a bit of thought and the steps outside still need a bit more light at night. We submitted two maintenance repairs but these were not dealt with. But overall, good value for money.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Besides the "large cockroaches" that come out at night in the unit when it is dark, which apparently this is normal... we were not happy with our stay! This is an excerpt from our correspondence with the "rental company". "The place isn’t clean... Cluttered kitchen cupboards, upstairs rugs are stained and there’s a dusty smell. Bed and bathroom linens do not look fresh and clean. Lighting is terrible. Had to replace 6 light bulbs. We found some bulbs here but we had to look around and find them on our arrival. Outdoor patio chairs are rusty with no cushions to put on them to sit on. Ink all inside the dryer we felt unsafe to put our clothes in there as they might get stained with ink. Only one side of the four slice toaster worked. Dirty oven and cooktop. No TV cable channels to watch sports like football or hockey games etc."The one thing that really sticks with me is: We were getting ready to cook our dinner on our portable BBQ on the front steps. An SUV pulled up and an aggressive lady got out and I believe she introduced herself as the "Condo President"... no business card or credentials!As she was walking from her SUV she said... "is that charcoal"? I said yes and she tore into me about the rules and regulations of the Condo and that charcoal grilling was not allowed.I said... "I called Sandhills Rentals prior to our arrival and asked if we were allowed to grill out on the front step".They said yes!I think my "due diligence" demonstrates that I was trying to "follow the rules"... but she wouldn't have any compassion or empathy for this situation. Perhaps the "Condo Corporation" should make sure that their "rental companies" are more aware of their policies.I have no issue with "Sandhills Rentals" and their staff or in dealing with them. All three people I interacted with were great to deal with... Marcus, Tim and Taylor. I think the "people who rent the unit" and the "Condo President" are at fault here for

It is difficult, and probably somewhat dangerous for senior citizens, to get up there! A low profile box spring would help alleviate the issue. Overall it was a very relaxing week!
