Great beach getaway

If you’re looking for a nice and clean beachfront property in a nice little town this is a great option. The property was just as advertised. The decks offered great views and put you right on the beach. My wife and our dog had a great time!

Great Vacation

The house was exactly as advertised and right on the beach, which is what we wanted. Lance was an excellent host and answered our questions very quickly. Everything else that you could want was not very far away from groceries to restaurants to souvenir stores. Would definitely go back to Sea Escape for another week of vacation.

Great getaway

We had a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler. This house has plenty of room, nice decor and very clean. We all enjoyed being able to walk straight out to the beach, as well as being within a mile or two of almost everything we wanted to go do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here, to anyone looking for a great vacation. The only downfall is if you have trouble with a lot of steps, you may find it hard to get around throughout the house.

Fall on the Beach

Annual family gathering. Condo was the right size and clean. Lance (owner) was very responsive to an entry issue and another minor issue. Location was about a mile North of main commerce area…not bad. Parking was tricky…hard to navigate under the edifice with a large SUV. We prefer an individual beach home…some ocean views were guarded by building next door, but overall a good place to stay.

STOP!! This is the beach house you want to rent!!

Lance’s property is FANTASTIC! It’s been a four years since we could take a vacation due to some health issues, busy schedules and everyday life. I was wanting a place that sits right on the beach. Somewhere that I could relax and my soul could rest and find peace. I contacted Lance and asked a couple of questions, not only did he respond promptly but he provided additional pictures in answer to some of my questions. He also provided some great places to eat that did not disappoint. Pictures doesn’t do this place justice. I immediately felt right at home! It’s spacious but with a comfy, cozy feel at the same time. The kitchen is well stocked With pots/pans and anything you could possibly need. Unfortunately we had to cut our vacation short due to Hurricane Dorian but I promise you I will rent this home again. Thank you sir for renting your property to us, we will definitely be back!!

Family Vacation in Surf City

This was our first time in Surf City. We had so much fun and loved our location. We loved the small town feel right on the beach. The property owner, Lance, was wonderful. Not knowing how traffic would be we set out early to Surf City. Check In was at 3pm but we arrived about 1:30pm. We were well aware of our checkin time and knew we were early so Lance gave us some recommendations where to get a good lunch before we checked in. We ended up going to all the restaurants he suggested throughout our week stay! The property was wonderful. I picked this rental because i wanted to be right on the beach. Step out the door, off the deck and feel my toes in the sand. This place did the trick! It did have some upgrading done to it lately which were really nice. Not everything has been upgraded but I’m sure it’s a work in progress. It was spacious for a family of 5 + friends. Everything worked well and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

Not What We Had Hoped For

This condo has some wonderful advantages, chief among them its convenient location in Surf City and its close proximity to the ocean—just steps away. The interior of the condo was clean and included a well-equipped kitchen. However, we can’t say this property was comparable to other 5-star rated rentals that we have enjoyed in the past. It adequately accommodated the five of us who stayed there, but it would have been much too cramped to handle 12 guests. As it was, we found it very crowded to have the five of us seated at the kitchen table at the same time. The living room furniture was tired and uncomfortable. Outdoor seating was available with plenty of seating. That feature was something we expected to enjoy. Unfortunately, the pigeons decided to take up residence on the top deck. Their droppings had completely covered a table in the corner; we carefully cleaned it off, but that was only a temporary solution as it was soon covered again. The protected steps leading into the condo were also quite dirty from the pigeon droppings.

Don’t hesitate - it’s perfect - so close to the beach!

This was by far one of the nicest rentals I’ve stayed in. Pictures and description are spot on! (There are actually 2 couches so our group of 9 had plenty of room to sit and 4th bedroom actually had a double and twin so all 3 kids fit in there). This house is literally steps to the beach and so easy to get to everything (if you even want to leave). Other reviews mentioned the parking and it is awkward…but we just backed the van and truck in and had no problem at all Lance is a great host and replied to my questions/concerns quickly. If your hesitant to book this rental-don’t be. Just do it-you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again Lance for renting your home!

Great beach front home

Images are accurate, owner is very quick to respond and home is equipped with all the basic needs. We had a great time, saw a ton of dolphins swimming by and it was a very relaxing spot. Thank you Lance!

Awesome beachfront house!

This place is exactly what you want if you're after for an amazing oceanfront view and walk out directly from the house to the beach. Location is great. Very close to restaurants and things to do in Surf City and Top Sail. The house is very nice with the ability to accommodate several people. The owner is also very courteous and communicative. Highly recommend!
