Love Destin

We always come to Destin every year. This property is conveniently located on the beach and has plenty of options around you within walking distance to buy souvenirs, get some ice cream, etc. The condo itself is in a great location but you will find that the unit itself is not maintained well as we did have and see several issues during our stay. Our call to report an issue on the first night was never answered but we made the best of our stay because of the great location.

Great ocean views

The balcony was awesome to see the ocean and sunset. Quiet inside. Loved being on a lower floor for stairs access when elevator was crowded. Kitchen was nicely equipped.

Perfect Location

We loved the location and the view was amazing. We were just steps from the beach. There is a cute beach shop and ice cream shop on the first floor. There was plenty of restaurants near by to walk to.

Location location location

Loved the eas of walking everywhere. Across the street from beach. Restaurant near by, gas station, ice cream shop, souvenir shops, pools, gym, parking deck. Ease of having everything close. Magnificent view and lots to watch from the balcony. Highly recommend.

Everything was good. Just a few small issues.

Everything was good. The only thing was two of the bracelets were damaged so of course they slipped off my kids. It states that if they are lost we have to pay for them. So it would have been nice not to get damaged bracelets.

Disappointing

Tv in bedroom never worked. The second day they sent someone to fix the living room tv. The bedroom smelled musty all week. Vacasa is fine I guess but the owner of this unit needs to fix things. Wall is busted by the shower. Fold out couch is terrible to sleep on but wanted television so we did. Location is great and majestic sun is nice overall. Not 308B. It needs work

Unpleasant

Let me start by saying, I'm not the type of person to leave bad reviews because i can always find the positive in a situation. However, I was not pleased with the quality of this condo. The most updated things in the condo were the kitchen appliances. The shower in the second bathroom has cracks inside, and the base boards by the shower has fallen off and is molding. There were cracks in the ceiling. The air vents are filled with dust and dirt, with mold surrounding them on the ceiling. The sheet on the king bed accidentally came off, and as I was fixing it back I saw all the stains on the mattress, I was disgusted! All the baseboards from the rooms to the bathrooms have some form of molding/dirt on them. There was so much more but this review would be too long. I did take pictures because this was truly unsettling to me. At this point I feel like I was tricked into renting this condo as the online pictures are not truly how the home looks inside. It's pretty much that you have to place all of this aside just because of the prime access to the beach. Lastly, I would hope that Vacasa and the owner of this condo do some serious work/revitalization to this property going forward. To all the future vacationaires take heed, if you don't mind the things I mentioned in this review, and need the location, then by all means book this unit. However, if you care about the quality you are spending your money on, then this might not be the place. Not until this place has been DEEP cleaned and revitalized!

Great location and good facilities

The location was great as you just walk out of the building and cross the two-lane road to the beach. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed to cook basic meals, and the rest of the condo was situated well for a family vacation.

Great view. Convenient. Needs an upgrade.

The view is amazing. It is positioned perfectly with an ocean view. The location is very convenient also. The only reason for four stars is for amenities. For example: Both televisions are very old with not internet capabilities. So, no streaming. The remote for the television in the room only allowed to bring up the guide so you had to physically get up for volume or to power off. I've stayed at other Vacasa units and they were more modern. Still love Vacasa and will be back. Just a more modern unit.

Overall a great experience

I loved everything about this condo. Size, location, amenities, & the amazing view. The only problem that I had was when I first arrived at the condo, there were dirty dishes still in the dish washer. Definitely wasn’t looking forward to washing someone else’s dirty dishes to start off my vacation, but I do understand they’re only human and mistakes happen. Other than that, everything was perfect. Unfortunately, my last night I ended up in the ER and then I was transferred to a hospital about 45 minutes away. This left my 1 year old and his dad at the condo by them self to pack up, load up, and clean up all of our stuff. He really did the best he could, but he wasn’t able to take the trash out, start the dish washer, and tidy up before leaving. I felt so bad about leaving the mess, so I called Vacasa and explained to them our circumstances, and they were so very nice and completely understood. They assured me it was okay and that they understand it wasn’t left a mess on purpose. I will definitely be booking my next vacation here!

Beautiful Room, Confusion With Booking

Our room was beautiful and exactly as expected. I was impressed with the cleanliness and how open it felt. However, I wish the door had another locking feature besides an electronic lock. Just something to make you feel a little more secure. We also received two different codes for the door and thankfully I saved my original booking from VRBO, or we wouldn’t have gotten into our room. We were also given two different checkout times which was quite confusing. Vacasa gave us until 11 while Majestic Sun gave us until 10. The parking was awful. We were in building B, which has limited parking right outside the building. Overall, it was a great trip. Close to the beach. Cute gift shop. Beautiful, clean rooms with a view. We would stay here again.
